it has shuttered. And now replaced by a pizza establishment that i have not tried.

Great soups and salads — I often get the Asian Chicken Salad. Very fresh. Local business that accepts the«Go Local» card which gives you small discounts each visit. Friendly staff. Nice environment. One of my favorite places to go for a quick lunch.

Didn’t even get the chance to try the food. Service was extremely slow. Standing there for about 5 minute before the ladies behind the counter even acknowledged us. Was a bummer since I’ve heard good things about this place. Better luck next time I suppose.

I worked right across the street, and Pearson & Co is a once-a-week treat. They have delicious, healthy, and fresh food. Their Lentil Sausage soup is hearty and tastes like my Mom’s(maybe better). It’s served with 2 huge slices of foccaccia bread which was very flavorful. I’ve tried their Cilantro Jicama salad, and it is one of the best cold salads I’ve ever tried. The only problem is that they don’t always have it. Pearson has an ever-changing menu of specials and treats, and I look forward to finding out what will be offered each time I go in. The staff are sweet and really do go the extra ‘mile’ to make sure customers are happy. Pearson & Co participate in Go Sonoma, and when I signed up for my free card I got a HUGE free cookie… nice! Because of the card, I now receive a discount each time I go in as well. I have nothing but great things to say about this local gem.

I’m so glad the previous owner is back! The service, food quality and atmosphere is back to being an affordable, efficient and relaxing business lunch. I had the quiche special and a fruit salad yesterday, which were both delicious. We don’t want to see Sonoma County businesses like this go away! She takes time and caring to prepare the meals. well worth it!

Great food and employees. Food is great. Tasty. Conviently nearby small businesses such as the supermarket, Lawyers, CVS etc. I like to go with my bro or by myself even to get a cup of coffee. I would recommend anyone to this home cooking food.

Solid coffee and sweets/pastry stop. They serve Taylor Maid which is quite a bit better than Charsux next door, and it’s a bit cheaper to boot. Had some kind of bomb-ass muffin, it was like cranberry and pumpkin with some kind of nuts, can’t even tell what all was in it. Wasn’t expecting that level of quality tho, and at a reasonable 2 bucks. Also a corner devoted to little local sweets and gifts if you need to fill out a holiday gift basket or something. Very pleasant place to sit too, clean, lots of space. Music could use some work though. Go with either something without lyrics or none at all IMO. They have sandwiches and salads, can’t comment however as they looked a little too pricey for what they were.

I stopped here for a quick lunch before facing a visit to Safeway. The clam chowder was absolutely delicious, with potatoes, fresh corn, tender clams, and a rich sauce. The atmosphere is bright and cheery and the staff pleasant and helpful.

Went to get my usual blat today… couldn’t really eat it. More then half the bacon was pieces of fat, tons of mayo and minimal amount of avocado. I’m sadly disappointed with the change of ownership, the place isn’t the same at all! They made changes too, not sure if they are cutting their budget but skimping on the napkins for smaller thin ones is not a good idea. And work on having a friendlier less stupid staff!

I don’t go to Pearson’s often but in the past always new I could pop in for one of their prepackaged salads, get pleasant service, and quickly be on my way. I knew they had changed owners and wondered if things would be the same when I popped in Tuesday evening. They are not the same. The chicken caesar salads I normally pull out of the case have been cut down by a third. They used to be stuffed full; an ok deal for $ 8+. Now… there is plenty of air between the salad and the lid. Sorry, 2⁄3 of what I used to get for the same price does not work for me. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

As a mom who works a couple evenings a week, I have been sooo happy to discover Pearon and Co and have really enjoyed picking up dinner to give myself a break from cooking once a week. The other night we ordered salmon, wild rice salad, and grilled asparagus, as well as a tasty tapioca pudding dessert, and had a gourmet meal at home, sitting down, that was so enjoyable. Everything was seasoned just right and felt balanced, healthy and delicious at the same time. I love how the store is shaping up with the new owners, becoming more and more elegant and offering some gourmet treats that we look forward to picking up for a picnic as the weather improves. Thank you!

Message to the new owners… You are doing it all wrong. I just threw out my asian chicken salad. Why cucumbers ??? I never have seen so much gross, questionable chicken pieces in a salad before. You destroyed the best deli /lunch place santa rosa had. R.I.P old pearsons. I WILLNEVERCOMEBACKTOPEARSONSAGAIN !

I ordered a catered lunch for a work meeting while in Santa Rosa and was very impressed. Everything went so smoothly, was delivered ontime, the prices were decent and the food was FANTASTIC. All around, a great find. The only downside is that they arent closer to my usual office so I can have more! The crunchy goat salad rocked my socks.

My girlfriend introduced me to Pearson & Co, and it serves as our«sometimes» eatery. The staff is friendly, and they are well stocked with quality foods; this is what one might consider an upscale deli. I’ve only had a handful of things on the menu, though something that stands out is the half sandwich and salad for ~$ 8.00. I typically get half of a roast beef with fontina cheese, roasted red peppers, grilled onions, mixed greens & pesto mayonnaise on wheat. The bread might be the key element in this delicious sandwich — I highly recommend this substitution While the staff is friendly, aside from placing an order there isn’t much«service». This calls into light the deli status I mentioned previously — this is a «come and eat here» restaurant, not much of a «come and be served» restaurant; I don’t have issue with this, though I know some would. For an $ 8 salad and sandwich combo, I do truly enjoy the food, but have a hard time justifying the drive, and the price, with any regularity. If Pearson & Co were able to shave a buck or so off the menu in most, if not all areas, this might become a bit better received in my demographic. Pearson & Co serves quality food, but at a price that makes this an irregular stop when trying to qualm an empty stomach.

I havent had the chance to eat here yet but I did order and pick up 15 box lunches for a work meeting today. I have to say everyone was pretty happy with the selections and loved that they came with the sandwich, salad and desert! I’m always a little worried when I pick up an order that size without having tried it before, but it turned out great! Will definitely order the box lunches again!

Came here a little after 11:30AM today. There was practically nobody there. This was my first time here, I picked up a salad. It was some kind of Asian-style chicken salad with peanuts. It was good. The lettuce was fresh, crisp and the dressing had just the right amount of taste; wasn’t overpowering. The cashier didn’t seem to know what to do as I was at the counter with one other person. Since I had only had the salad, I checked out and left. It was a bit expensive, though.

I had the best BLAT here! Everything about it was good… the best bacon, yummy avocado, the perfect bread for the sandwich, and the best tomato I have had ALL summer! Also, the customer service was super friendly. I wish we had one of these places closer to the bay!

Okay, I checked out this place looking for a new lunch spot. To get the food to go or not to go, that is the question. I got the food to go. When I first walked in I veered left to the kitchen gadgets sale side. I can not, repeat, can not refuse to look at kitchen gadgets. Then I looked at some of the prices and my eyes bulged a little. Much of the stuff is actually cheaper at Sur La Table. And I thought Sur La Table was expensive. Hey, I give this place more points for the mom and pop type shop it seems to be. But I’m poor, so can’t splurge unfortunately to help the little guy. One day maybe. I ordered two of the sandwich specials which both were admittedly delicious but tasted like I made them at home. And when I say made them at home I mean traditional sliced bread with a few fixings more on the gourmet side. It’s not that I’m knocking this place but after all the reviews I expected something more special. Despite lots of people crammed behind the corner, there was somehow a lack of service. It seemed a little disorganized yet the people seemed to really be trying. After standing in line behind 5 other orders(I went just before the peak of lunch time at 11:15) my order was finally taken. I must admit the salads and other things, notably take home sauces and soups, looked absolutely stunning in the fridge shelf to go section. I opted for sandwiches because that fit the mood that day, and my boyfriend was a hungry guy. As I stood waiting for my order, I noticed the couple of women in front of me. Both had grabbed salads which sorely tempted me to get one. The young girl behind the counter said something like«Oh yeah, these are the good ones we have out today». I didn’t know if she meant the kind of salad the women had grabbed or each of those two individually selected salads. The young girl then tossed each with the dressing in a bowl and scooped it on a large plate. Despite the plate being large the plate still didn’t seem big enough for the salad. I decided I have definitely got to get back here for a salad. I still haven’t yet, but the idea swims in my head. I place on the other side of town from Chloe’s with good salad? My honest assessment of the food is that it is a little bland. The ingredients are right, and gourmet like Traverso’s, but somehow didn’t hit the button for me and my boyfriend. Perhaps the bread for the sandwiches needs to be toasted. On both sandwiches(my boyfriend and I when trying new places half our orders to the other) the bread just seemed to crumble and mush, and definitely not in a good way. I love bread. I go out of my way for bread. And if eating a sandwich –often the bread is the foundation. If you go here, make sure they toast the bread on the sandwich. I would definitely recommend trying what others say is great, and save going out on a limb for this place, later. That is to say panini, salads, and the meatloaf sandwich. I am definitely going to in the future. All in all, this place seems a little pricey for what you get.

Pearson & Co. is one of my favorite delis in Sonoma County. When I think of Pearson’s, some of the word-combos that come to mind are: consistent product, freshly made, reasonably priced, awesome sandwiches, incredible salads, friendly service with a smile! When I prefer to indulge in the sandwich area, the sandwich I choose as the hallmark of all sandwiches is a Meat Loaf sandwich. Eleven years ago, I moved from the Central Valley and was forced to bid adieu to Deva, my fav’ meatloaf sandwich maven. Parting was such sweet sorrow! I’m happy to report that my fickle palate has now adopted Pearson & Co. as my new fav’ deli stop and it’s not just because they have the greatest meatloaf sandwich in the Northbay. Believe it or not, it’s the salads that keep my steering wheel spinning into their parking lot. When you visit, take a look at the vast number of original salad combos. This afternoon I purchased the yellow beet and carrot with parsley and onions. Yummy! On my last visit, it was the Jicama, Tomato, Goat Cheese, Olive and Cucumber salad — To Die For! They have Greek pasta salads, potato salads, Asian noodles with scallions and cilantro and of course mixed seasonal fruit salads with low-fat yogurt dressings, as well as the de rigueur«Sonoma» mixed green salads and Caeser salads(even though they are not the genuine, made-at-your-table version), they’re pretty darn good. Their wild rice salad with apricots, dried cranberries, pecans, red peppers and scallions is … well … indescribably delicious! So when your hunger pangs are craving good food, take a detour from your busy schedule and drive to Pearson & Co. Over a year ago, they opened up a new store on Mendocino Ave. at Administration Drive. I’d have to give that store a 4-star review. The 4th Street Store is my favorite.
