Sam’s For Play Express is one of several restaurants at Graton’s food court. They’re new and have bright menu boards with very enticing menu items. Their menu ranges from soups and salads, to burgers, to chicken and waffles, to spaghetti and meatballs, and to pies and cakes. Placing your order doesn’t take very long; but we had to hound the pick-up window a few times before our food came out. My spaghetti and meatballs were quite a disappointment. The noodles were flash steamed/boiled/heated in hot water and my sauce was bland. A bit odd considering the amount of black pepper. The best part of the meal was the garlic bread and meatballs. I should have just made a meatball sandwich! The pictures on their menu are mouth-watering and reeled me in. I may give them another shot — maybe I’ll try the chicken and waffles. Maybe.
