This is a fun attraction if one is visiting the Charles M. Schulz Museum across the street. I will have to return when they have finished remodeling the kitchen. For now, the food service is curbside and you are allowed to take the food inside to eat and watch the ice skaters. That is the fun part. It is clean and well cared for. The food, though, leaves a lot to be desired. Sandwiches are soggy. All the food is packaged«to go,» so you can also eat outdoors or take the food with you. The food is nothing spectacular at this point in time. Maybe after the remodel.

Nasty! Someone from the museum said this food was«amazing» so we tried it. All frozen and poor quality.

This place is okay to get food. Not them park prices though, but reasonable for the museum. The food was okay as I ordered the Chinese chicken salad for lunch for $ 9.50 which tax is included. The cup of water is useful and a good station to have for the ice skaters. You can see the rink inside and boy it is cold, but the windows are tinted and inside is so dark you can not see much. The chicken was dark which was great as it was not dry and very good.

The food is ok for the price. It’s a nice warm environment. I loved the fire place. However, the lady who seemed to be the manager would not stop yelling and screeching at the teenage staff. The entire time we were there she yelled at them and barked orders. It was very uncomfortable to be around.

Better than you would expect. We tried two of the specials both were good and fresh and then got a snoopy dog in a dog bowl for fun. Good service and a great atmosphere, a must for peanuts fans.

Popped in here after a day at the museum and was pleasantly surprised to find vegan options! There’s pb&j for the kids, but they also have a hummus wrap, fries, pretzels, fruit salad, veggie sticks, and garden burgers. Happiness is a warm vegan!

I really wanted to love this place but sadly the food did not live up to the hype. We loved the environment and my daughter loved getting her food served in a paper dog bowl. But the chicken nuggets were mushy, the Hot dog bun was cold and falling apart, the salad greens were wilted and drowned in dressing, and the chicken on the salad was dry and tasteless. As a quick snack bar I guess it would suffice but as a place to get a meal it just isn’t worth it.

Five stars for this delightful place As an avid fan of all things Snoopy this is definitely my happy place. The updated offerings for lunch satisfy my grown up palate while the atmosphere makes my soul sing Not usually a mushy reviewer but how many places can satisfy both sides? The crab sandwich is delicious as is the chowder and chocolate mousse. Bring your kids and inner child

Love the hot chocolate here. It’s a bit pricey but since I only get it a few times a year, it’s definitely worth it. You can sit in the café and enjoy something warm while looking out into the ice rink. When the kids aren’t in school it can get a bit noisy, but I don’t mind it. It’s nice to see the kids ice skate and then head over to the café and wRm up with cocoa and a warm snack. I love the homey feel of this place.

1÷11÷2016 Time: 11:57AM51° Cloudy Warm Puppy Café… such an adorable name for a diner that serves the standard fare of burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, French fries, chili, juice, hot and cold beverages, pastries. They also serve Caesar salad, fruit, veggies and cheese cups. Six chalkboards have the menu items and prices listed. Two lunch specials are posted on the blackboard, Snoopy and Woodstock. Warm Puppy Café has a cozy and comfy ambiance. It is a Snoopy-themed setting. There is an ice skating rink adjacent to the café and is accessible through a side door. The colorful window by the entrance is quite charming. There is also a separate room for birthday parties. The drawback was the service, which was very slow. I stood in a line behind so many people(«starvin’ like Marvin») for almost one hour. The menu items were pricey. By the time I was ready to order my food, I somehow lost my appetite. Quick — what did I do — change my mind or order some form of sustenance. I settled for a bowl of chili, a basket of fries and a bottle of Purity apple juice. The fries were lukewarm and got cold quick. Terrible to waste a basket of fries, so I threw some into the bowl of chili… all right, it’s chili cheese fries. I can handle that! A complimentary apple strudel was dessert, courtesy of Mastick Senior Center. It was a meh on the apple strudel. The plus to my lunch was a 10% discount for a senior citizen. Conclusion: to each his/her own on Warm Puppy Café. It has its charm, but the slow service is its drawback.

Overpriced and very busy. Food is simple fare; hotdogs, hamburgers, sandwiches, but took a long time to prepare. Quality was not impressive.

The Warm Puppy is a great place to watch ice skaters circling the rink while enjoying a very good breakfast or lunch. The staff friendly. Charlie Brown must be proud! Try the streusel for dessert! YUM!!!

Small portions for the price and very crowded. Loved the Peanuts theme but good grief, Charlie Brown.

Chef Josef Keller has been hired to turn up the quality. The man is a master. You may remember him from his restaurant at Hotel la Rose. We started with clam chowder. .I didn’t know clam chowder could be this good. It had amazing flavor, big chunks of clam. and a perfect sauce. The sauce clung to the bits but wasn’t overly thick. I had the crab salad sandwich with wasabi. The flavors were perfect. A strong crab taste on top and a clear but tasteful wasabi note. Likewise the chocolate mousse was divine. High quality chocolate with enough sugar to carry it off but no more. I had to close my eyes as I cleaned a spoon with my tongue, enjoying every moment of every flavor as the creamy texture spread in my mouth and down my throat. Every thing was a special suggesting the menu will change. We look forward to seeing what delights chef Josef creates here for us!

There were a couple of pros: liked the paper dog bowl they use for the children’s menu, and the cups that came with Snoopy’s face on it; and it was nice to see through the ice rink of people having hockey practice. But aside from that, the cute name and its Snoopy theme, this place was a letdown. They didn’t even keep the«reserved» sign on Charles Schulz’s table. :/It felt more like an indoor concession stand than a café. Hot chocolate came from a machine, as did the hot dogs, nachos, etc. If you’re visiting the museum, this might be the quickest place to grab a bite, but don’t count on the food to be anything special.

I understand that people are coming here for the skating and not the food. But this review page is for the café. And perhaps this will help someone plan his/her day at the museum. To be honest, I would have to compare the café to a gas station experience: great if you only want a snack or a beverage, but not so great if you are looking to have a meal. I saw a full kitchen, but the top food items were hot dogs on rollers, pizza under a light and ready-to-microwave breakfast burritos. I’m guessing that the kitchen must have been used at a greater capacity in the days of Mr. Schultz.

I love Snoopy but I felt misled. The Snoopy Special, which comes with a small hotdog, tiny paper Snoopy cup and a little bag of chips, was advertised that it would be «served in Snoopy’s original dish» came on a plain paper plate. The hotdog bun was dry and cold. The soda cup was tiny and they charge $ 0.50 for each refill. The only condiments they had for the hotdog was ketchup, mustard and mayo. Wished they had relish and onions. The Snoopy Special was way overpriced at $ 6.95 + tax. Not worth it! Everything else was also way overpriced, especially given the size, quality and the fact that it lacked Snoopy flair/décor. Also, the place is crowded so it was really hard to find an open table.

Charming, But Otherwise Average The average rating of 3 stars is right on the money(I was briefly tempted to give this place 4 stars, but I couldn’t have really justified it). I had lunch here with my family and parents on Sunday. In general, we only ate somewhat well. The menu is diverse and features over 40 selections: . As some other reviewers have noted, the prices are kind of high. ; : The Snoopy items stand out, but there’s otherwise not much in the way of ambiance. The café reminded me of a cafeteria. I’m surprised that sloppy joes aren’t sold. The seating capacity is over 40 outside(3 of the tables have patio table umbrellas). The main seating area inside seats about 100, but the tables are fairly close to each other(I had to be careful not to bang into people– this one guy that I kept seeing looked like a serial killer, and I wasn’t in the mood to get shanked). There’s a party room that can be reserved(a blonde girl with not many friends was celebrating her birthday). It’s not very wide, but it’s long(it seats over 70). It has an old school look to it, but is quite functional. The café is directly connected to Snoopy’s Home Ice — Redwood Empire Ice Arena. This is cool overall(I walked around the ice skating rink and took some pics), but it does create some congestion(one of the registers is very close to the doors). The cashiers worked hard and were friendly. We also got our food the way we wanted it(my dad, for example, got his burger with sourdough bread). My mom was only disappointed because they were out of Breakfast Wraps(burritos). I didn’t mind, but I had to bus our table. At the condiment area is a tray for trash and one for dishes. I saw an employee going around with a dustpan, but most of them were behind the counter the whole time. The receipts are cute(they feature Snoopy on them). Breakfast is served all day. : It costs $.50 for«Young Pups» to be served their food in Snoopy’s Dog Dish. The ‘Peppermint Patty’ Hot Chocolate is evidently good. The pizza slices that I saw were big and thick(a Pizza Slice is $ 3.75), but they didn’t look great(the phrase«standard fare» comes to mind). : Hot Dog($ 3.95): 7⁄10. I wasn’t pleased overall. I expected a little more. : Chicken Strips and Fries($ 5.95): 7.75÷10. My wife and I were surprised at how the chicken strips looked. I briefly thought that we had been given some pieces of fish. My son didn’t have any chicken(my wife ordered the meal for him), but he just wasn’t hungry(my dad took him outside after he became too rambunctious). The combo included a good serving of 2% Milk(my son drank it all within an hour). : Breakfast Sandwich($ 3.95): 5⁄10. «Egg,cheeses, turkey sausage patty or bacon, and wheat english muffin or plain bagel.» I’m glad that I didn’t order one(I changed my mind while at the counter). My wife regretted ordering hers(both of us were limited in terms of money, and so we didn’t want to waste any). : BBQ Bacon Burger($ 8.95): 8.5÷10. My burger was quite good. The patty and cheddar cheese were delicious(the latter was also nicely melted). My pieces of bacon were solid(they were somewhat meaty and not too fatty). The bun was overly grilled, but just on one side. My mom wished that she had ordered a BBQ Bacon Burger too(she didn’t think about asking for the sauce on the side like I did). The BBQ sauce was nice(it was sweet in taste), but I’m glad that I got it on the side. My fries were tasty(they just needed a bit of salt). You’re given a lot of fries here. My wife and I couldn’t finish all of ours. My wife and mom each had a Beagle Burger: «Choice of 1/3lb beef patty or grilled chicken breast.» They’re $ 7.95. Soft drinks are $ 2(with some items, you’ll be charged a combo price of $ 1). Refills are only $.50. I wish I had known earlier(the cups aren’t that big, and I was still thirsty when we left). This place has some appeal, but the food is rather hit or miss.

We walked over from the Charles Schulz museum for coffee and a light afternoon snack. Hubby got the cranberry muffin and I got the Charlie Brown brownie. Good size snack and good coffee. We sat outdoors at one of the many tables and enjoyed the trees and landscaped grounds.
