I was so excited to try this place out, but it might have been the most underwhelming burger I’ve ever had. I ordered the Sand Dune burger, which was overcooked, dry, and the onion strings were soft and had an old refrigerated tasted to them. I also ordered a side of onion rings, which were soft and had a weird taste as if they were left over from the day before and put back in the fryer. For the price point($ 19 for a burger, onion rings, and a milkshake) I expected much more.

After my fiasco with Funk Fries, I had to come back to Anny’s for my burger craving. They didn’t disappoint. Well cooked burger, tender and juicy, just like I remember. Anny’s a cut above the rest. I think the only burger that beats Anny’s is Hodad’s. That’s a compliment, nothing beats Hodad’s burger. I hear there’s a burger joint/bar out in Pacific Beach that rivals and even beats Hodad’s, but I can never remember the name.

Wanted to love this place, wanted to make it a staple in our diets; but the burgers had ZERO taste. A little seasoning in the meat would be great. Made me sad.

This burger joint is just plain awesome! The very best burgers I’ve ever chomped on. My favorite is The Ultimate. It’s about $ 10 for a huge burger, but well worth the price. Don’t hesitate! You can’t go wrong at Anny’s! There is simply no comparison to weevil burger, five guys, and the other also rans. Anny’s is in a league of their own.

Dear Anny’s, we’re breaking up. My love affair with you is over. I’ll miss those juicy 100% Angus grass fed beef burgers. But you just don’t love me any more. You see I’m gluten free now, because I’m gluten intolerant, and NON of your carbs are gluten free.)-; I stopped in today with my granddaughter, who requested an Anny’s burger after school. She enjoyed a big fat juicy cheeseburger with bacon, tomatoes and pickles, although the bun didn’t hold it together… you need a bigger bun on that kid’s burger, or else a smaller patty. But I asked you if you have any gluten free buns or bread for my burger, and you said no, because the cost is too expensive, and you’d have to pass that cost on to your customers. You said many people come in requesting gluten free bread. I explained to you that I’d be happy to pay the up-charge if you buy that more expensive gluten free bread. But you weren’t interested in my feedback. I told you that Costco sells a double package of gluten-free bread, and the loaves are individually sealed, and the unopened loaves have a shelf-life of 1 month! I asked you if your fries are gluten free, but together we realized that they aren’t, because they are fried in the same oil with the onion rings. I asked you if your shakes are gluten free, but you weren’t sure, so to be safe, you said they probably aren’t. I was a regular customer at this Anny’s location in Santee. When you lose a regular customer because she’s gluten free, you also lose her family, because you see, I rarely eat alone. I’m usually accompanied by family. Now we will be searching for somewhere else to eat… someplace which can accommodate everyone. You did offer a lettuce wrap. But I explained… just lettuce with a beef patty? That’s too much fat for me, and no carbs to absorb the fat. I’ve tried that and it doesn’t digest well… it’s also not healthy to eat no carbs at all. You came by our table and asked if everything is all right. I said, well, everything is fine for my granddaughter, who is enjoying her burger. But since I can’t eat anything here, everything isn’t fine for me. But you looked like you just don’t get it.

Oh Anny, screw you Anny! You are wayyyyy to tempting and over the top darn delicious! You’re killin’ me Anny! If you’re gonna splurge on burgers, fries and milk shakes this IS the place! But, it you’re like me, you’ll be happy to know that they offer turkey burgers, veggie burgers and spinach salads! The only thing they’re missing is yogurt based shakes as a healthy alternative ;) So dang delicious, you’re killing me Anny!

First time coming here with wife and kids. Ordered Ultimate Burger and it was great! Meat was just right not too salty or bland. Buns also was good. Yes it’s a little greasy but what do you expect from a good burger joint? Fries were good we ordered Cajun fries which were pretty spicy and some regular fries. Wife ordered California burger which I thought was even better and tastier than my ultimate burger. We didn’t have any issues with service and as a matter of fact this location(santee) was pretty friendly. We came in and most customers were just picking up togo’s. But within about 20 minutes the room filled up. This was around 11:40am so I would suggest getting there by 11:30. Overall it was a great experience that we hope would be consistent with this location. Will visit again and try their other burgers and will see if service is consistent.

Just got here, ordered some burgers and garlic Parmesan fries. We’ve only received our fries but they’re AMAZING! The workers are very nice as well. Totally would recommend this place to anyone passing through San Diego or Santee!

Better yet, Anny’s adequate burgers. Fries have come out below average the 3 times I’ve ordered. Their photos look so yummy, but the actual food we’ve had… not that great.

Just about as good as a burger place can get. Don’t be fooled by the less-than-impressive almost questionable exterior. Grass Fed 100% Angus beef and you can taste the quality. Buns are fresh. Seriously delicious and there is no shortage of options here. They have salmon burgers, Turkey burgers, chicken burgers and even a Korean BBQ burger. Portions are HUGE. Husband and I each got a burger and an order of garlic fries and barely ate ½ the fries and shouldn’t have probably finished our whole burgers(but it’s SO tasty!) My only complaint is that the kids meal’s only side option is French fries. As a mom, I super appreciate a fruit or an applesauce option.

Love this place. Both locations in Clairemont and Santee are excellent. I cannot order the same thing more than once when I’m here because the menu has pretty much 50 things to choose from. I’ve had a good chunk of the menu but my top 2 burgers would be the PASTRAMI and the GARLICMUSHROOM. Very good. My chick gets the CALIFORNIA every time because of the avacado. This place has yet to fail me. Service is friendly. I feel like homies own the place. The fries sometimes get too greasy for me so lately I’ve been getting just a burger. Eat here if you want a good burger

Started off disappointing when a customer in front of me took his time ordering so it was about 2 minutes after six when I got to order. I was il Happy Hour ends at 6 pm, so better luck next time. Ordered the Anny’s Daily Special for $ 6.99 which is a cheese burger with fries. Burger and fries came out quick. Fries were just warm but the burger looked very good. Upon inspection the patty was very very thin and well done. Obviously had been cooked prior to ordering. Overall kind of disappointing given its a burger place. They do have an excellent number of choices so maybe I should have ordered a specialty burger. The pictures on the wall of the burgers looked good.

Thank you Unilocal once again! You would never know how good this place is based off outside marketing, I could barely find it. It’s located inside a mini strip mall in Santee. Look around and you will find a small Anny’s fine burgers sign. Anny’s makes me think of a Denny’s breakfast joint, obviously its not. Maybe they should change their name to amazing burger creations. This place has a wonderful variety of burger options! I loved the fries, done perfectly! It’s basically a really good hole in the wall burger place featuring grass feed never frozen beef. I’m one of those Weirdo’s that enjoys burger’s cooked medium to medium rare. The burger was tasty but cooked more thoroughly than I prefer, but still very very good overall. All that said, basically if you are a burger fan you need to check this place out. It’s not a fine dining situation it’s just a little burger place that packs a punch, in the form of monster burgers, I will post pictures :) Happy eating!

Best burgers and sandwiches in East County, hands down. I’m not a big burger guy but these guys always hit the spot when I get the craving. I have never had a sandwich or burger that was overcooked. Nor have they ever given me soggy fries or welted onion rings. They take a lot of care with the order and you can tell that the workers really care about the quality. I dont think I have ever walked in there without someone being friendly at the register. Many places dont know how to cook chicken, but this place has gotten it right almost a dozen times so dont be afraid to get chicken sandwiches. They are a heck of a lot better than Chic-Fillet(not even a contest) and their burgers are also 10x better than Inn-n-out. They even blow away Phils BBQ chicken sandwich(which was very dry the two times Ive ordered it). The place is not much to look at but it is located very conveniently next to the troll and near a little stage area where there are sometimes outdoor events going on. Despite not having drive through, and being hidden deep in a corner of the shopping center, it is almost always busy and for good reason. If you are in town, definitely give them a shot. Help out a small business that both treats you right and makes excellent burgers.

The food here is really good! We suggest the sand dune burger. #32 the spicy burger is just that spicy! I had to drink milk with mine. The only negative thing is the customer service is lacking. The tall gentleman that helped us at the register wasn’t very nice.

Well my burger might’ve been pretty damn good had it not been burnt to a crisp. when I pointed it out to the cashier at how burnt it was rather than offer a new burger he tells me that’s the way they serve them. I think he used the term medium well but that was beyond medium well, that was burnt to a crisp. I left the burger there and he saw me annoyed and I walked out after taking one bite If you’re a new customer(which he knew) coming into an establishment you need to tell them that you over cook your burgers. I might’ve asked for medium rare but any decent burger joint serves medium rare burger’s automatically. I didn’t even consider them serving at burnt or medium well as he put it. that was a good 10 bucks down the drain and bad customer service they should’ve offered me a newly cook the burger or refund instead they let me walk out with an uneaten burger sitting there. I also suspect like other reviewers they pre cook the patty which was oversalted too. Mine came out WAY to fast to have been cooked that badly.

Best cajun fries I have ever had in my life. I’m a bit of a french fries aficionado, and I still believe that their fries are degrees better than and boiling crab. They’re even better, do I dare say it, McDonalds french fries. Crispy and well seasoned. Every bite of every segment of a single fry has crunch as if they’re blessed by the gods themselves. The burger was juicy and tender, ginormous, and simply delicious. I had the garlic mushroom burger, and I put every burger joint I’ve been to that had this kind of burger to shame. The mushrooms were thick and plentiful. Topped off with swish cheese and nice tomatoes. I need to make a road trip down to Santee again just for these burger.
