My wife grew up in Asia and has been here 20 years. She is a sous chef, and finding Asian restaurants that meet with her O.K. has been a 20-year-long adventure. Based on the reviews on Unilocal,I took her here today, and I found salvation. Like the old Life cereal commercial — she liked it! If you don’t remember the commercial — See . Anyway, the place is clean, the prices fair, the food is excellent and obviously very fresh. The soups have very generous portions of meat, and the fried chicken(on the menu its listed as «Salt & Butter Chicken Wings) had a crispy crust and juicy meat, and the wings are big. The flavors were right on. So far, this is the best of our quest.

First time here and I must say it is such a nice clean restaurant inside. They are friendly and attentive. We ordered the pork & shrimp rolls for appetizers. Very fresh they were served with a peanut sauce on the side. For entrees we got the orange chicken(we asked for it spicy) was decent. We also got the Singapore style noodles. Delicious. Of course hot tea which I was pleasantly Surprised to see they had the tea leaves.(Fond childhood memories). The meal was good, nice atmosphere, and inexpensive. Sure hope this place sticks around. Got a full order of salt & garlic butter wings to go. All I can say is SOOOOGOOOOOD!!!

Had the Chicken noodle phở and the 3 piece order of Vietnamese rolls — all very good — a bit more salt for the phở(and I’m not a big salt person). Hoisin sauce got it going. Nice, chill atmosphere– the family and one other couple besides me — will be back!

The restaurant has great service and even better food. It has a really friendly atmosphere and the wait for food is 10 – 15 minutes. The beef noodle soup(phở) tastes delicious and is a nice portion size. The family owned business is fairly new, so please spread the word! Wouldn’t want such a nice place is close down!

The waiters check up on us often and the place is literally spotless. It’s the cleanest restaurant I’ve ever been to, and the Christmas lights are cute :). Phở is delicious.

Prices are great, easy to feed a family of 4. Food was great as well. I liked the interior, clean, pleasant place to eat. I understand they had to close for awhile but are re-opened. I think not many people know about this little gem in Santee, and it can be easy to miss. I hope more find out and visit as I would like to see it stay around. The specials are great and include soup and main entrée.

I came to this place so excited to try it because of the great reviews! I had. Cold so I was really craving phở. I drove all the way here and it’s closed! Update your hours on Unilocal please! Major fail.

Better phở than phở ca dao across the way. I was a little suspect of the reviews for this place because most reviewers only have 1 review and it happens to be for this place. But, the phở says it all for me. Pretty tasty… They seem pretty new to the area, but place is clean. They have a lot of items crossed off the menu, which is weird, but I wasn’t planning on ordering the squid with sweet & sour tomato sauce anyway. These seemingly Vietnamese items are probably too hardcore for the average«bro» from Santee, so I’m assume that’s why they’ve been taken off the menu. Anyway, good phở and I will certainly return when I just have to have a bowl of phở.

My new best place to eat in Santee, no MSG. They have a really good variety of food to pick from Vietnamese to Chinese. Some of the food remind me of the taste from back home. The price also reasonable and it’s a plus that they are really clean. :)

It’s about time Santee has a good Chinese place. Extensive menu items. People inside were raving how good the food was and the place is clean. Staff is friendly. Prices are good also. Make it a point to try this place so we can keep them in business, spread the word

We tried this restaurant for the first time this evening. The Vietnamese egg roles were not bad. The Singapore noodles my son ordered were dry and didn’t have much flavor. The Kung Pao chicken my wife ordered wasn’t bad. I ordered the sweet and sour pork. The pork was dry and hardly had any batter on it. There wasn’t much flavor to this dish either. The service was good, and the staff was very friendly. We were frequently check on during our meal, and our water glasses were kept full. We did over hear some of the other customers state that they were enjoying their meal. The prices for the meals are reasonible. Personally I thought the quality of the food was mediocre at best. We may have just had bad luck, so we will possibly try it again in the future.

Wow!!! Best phở in town! It’s a new world! Love the traditional Vietnamese egg rolls and the special bowl! Large! It up! The two gentlemen were very kind! Going to bring my family here… plenty of room in the restaurant.

Great place and family owned/operated. Wait staff is very friendly and comes by frequently to make sure everything is okay, and if they think you are dissatisfied with anything they do their best to fix it. Fusion cuisine of Vietnamese and Chinese with a large menu. The front page has the cheapest meal combination deals(generally $ 7) and comes with soup, egg roll, rice, and the main course; other dishes tend to be in $ 10-$ 13 range. I’ve been here three times since they opened, portions are good sized and the food seems like authentic home-cooked food. I’ve had three dishes: Kung Pao Chicken, Chicken Curry, and Lemon grass chicken. Kung Pao Chicken and Lemon grass chicken I would recommend, good flavor and portions. The curry chicken less so, seemed to be curry powder so wasn’t quite what I was expecting. I haven’t had the phở yet, but can’t wait too as the two other phở places around Santee aren’t that great(imho). Every time we’ve went, we have been greeted at the door, shown to a table, and an appetizer of 1 piece of crispy fried chicken brought to the table(generally thigh/leg) which is nice. The three dishes I have ordered all come with a generous portions of sauce, but tend to be light on the salt(which I prefer). I like the spicier dishes, but even though these are marked as spicy I would say they may be a 3 – 4 out of 10, but there’s plenty of chilli oil and the like to increase the spice. Egg drop soup is also nice, thick and savory. All in all a great little place that is very clean with a nice ambiance.

Heading back to the office from my meeting and feeling hungry so I was going to stop by the corner neighborhood Mexican restaurant with a big sign 12 tacos for 8 dollars something… As I turned into their parking lot, I saw a banner on the adjacent building that advertises Vietnamese-Chinese food and the not too common name of «New World». So, I veered my to the next parking lot and wanted to give the new restaurant a try. I would not have seen the restaurant if I did not decide to get a burrito. They just opened and it is not on the main strip. I was the only customer at around 3:40PM. The décor is very pleasant and it was done with taste. I can tell that it was done on a budget but very tasteful and someone has maximized their dollars. I was greeted immediately once I stepped in the door and was told to pick any seat. The menue is a bit different than your typical chinese/vietnamese restaurant since they had a few items that are not typically found. One of which is «nui» or pasta soup and stir fry dishes. Sounds very good, but I was hungry and needed something large and quick. So I ordered the large phở bowl. The soda was free since it was their Grand Opening. The chef came out with a sample of fried chicken drumstick. It was probable one of the better tasting fried chicken that I have tasted. The batter was a Asian type batter(thick and crunchy) with the right amount of seasoning. The chicken was fresh and tasted clean. I devoured the leg. A few minutes later the large bowl of phở tai came out. Before anything else is added, I tasted the broth alone, then the noodle then the beef slice. I’ve eaten at many other restaurants in San Diego and the broth is one of the top five with regards to taste. The noodles is a little harder than I would like, but that was the only negative. The beef slices were plenty and thick with avery good clean taste. They were not thinly sliced like most places. I dont like it too thin because you really can’t taste the meat. After I put all the fixing and sauces, I practically drank down the phở bowl. The owners were very friendly helpful with explaining the menue. I hope more customers will find them. I intend to come back whenever I am in the area.
