The best Thai food in San Diego! I’ve tried other places but none compare! Try the Panang curry… I get it all the time and never get sick of it! They don’t mess around with their spices either. I can handle spicy but with their curry I get a 3 at the most. The service is really friends too!

I’ve spent many months in Thailand, and I can report that without a doubt this is the best Thai food I’ve had in San Diego. In fact the food here is as good as anything I had in Thailand. My favorites are the shrimp panang, the satay chicken, the massaman, and the Thai iced tea. Love the Thai iced tea! The cute little thai waitress is a delight, and the prices are very fair. My only complaint is that they are not open 7 days a week. Oh so good!

We are 0 for 2 — the first time, my husband and I had stomachaches. The next time, my husband had full-on food poisoning from their pork noodles. We are talking losing 10 lbs, getting stomach bruises from nonstop vomiting, missing Christmas Eve celebrations food poisoning. We aren’t going to give this place a 3rd chance.

I can’t believe I’ve lived in Santee all my life and just found this place! My boyfriend and I stopped in and were seated right away. We ordered appetizers and entrees and received it all within 10 min!(Which was especially nice since I was starving) loved everything we ordered especially the Orange chicken! Will definitely be coming back

This has been are go to place for thai food in Santee lately. They tend to make it spicy so on a level of 1 – 10, a 5 was just right. I would recommend the panang curry with chicken, very good! The chicken satay is bomb also. We have only ordered take out, but there wait time has been accurate every time.

Amaze-ing! The orange chicken is something I could eat every night… At different spice levels, of course.

Sab-E-Lee is one of the best places I have experienced Thai food. The food was great, the service excellent. I wasn’t expecting such great experience at this place. I fully recommend this place, you will leave fully satisfied.

So glad to have delish Thai food in town. Cute and cozy dining room, timely take-out, and a lunch menu that won’t break the bank. Recently, I had a moment to stop in for a weekday lunch, with an unexpected twist. For whatever reason, I responded to a homeless guy in the parking lot that apparently has an appetite for Thai food as well. I said I would grab him something on my way out, but I would either conveniently forget and drive off, or maybe he’d get impatient and move along. Nope. He tracks me down inside the restaurant and pulls up a chair. It’s not exactly what I had in mind for a lunch date, but it’s only a few degrees of separation from having drinks next to some stranger at a bar, except I’m still sober and I’m kinda weirded out about what’s happening. I had Panang curry for lunch. The waitress asked me what spice level(1 – 10). It seems so arbitrary and sometimes ends up either too bland or burning hot. I asked for a 5 and it was good enough spicy for me to get all hot and sweaty plus trigger some endorphins, but not painfully uncomfortable like a food challenge tapout. Lunch service was curt and efficient, with little idle chit chat as expected. My unexpected lunch guest seemed to enjoy his lunch. I could only stay for so long, but wished him the best of luck with his future endeavors and went to the cashier to pay the bill. The lady looked puzzled because she thought I knew that man. I explained the story as I paid the bill. If you’re near the Santee area and in the mood for Thai food, then check out this spot where everyone is friendly and approachable, especially from the parking lot. Happy Holidays, y’all.

The best Thai food in San Diego! I’ve been here about 4 times and have never been disappointed. I got takeout tonight… Crab Rangoon, tom kah soup, and chicken drunken noodles. Everything was fresh and hot… I like spicy everything… I think spicy level 4 – 5 is perfect… anything above 5 in my opinion would be too spicy. The crab Rangoon were cooked perfectly. And the soup was piping hot after my 15 minute drive home.

Great food, reasonable prices! I’ve had tom yum/tom ka soups, drunken noodles, pad see ewe, panang curry, larb salad, fried fish, pineapple fried rice as well as various appetizers. I haven’t been disappointed yet! We love that we have such a great Thai restaurant in Santee. The restaurant is in a more deserted strip mall so you always wonder if there’s anyone inside. Rest assured, there are and though it could benefit from a makeover, I find dining there nice and quaint.

As a huge Thai-food fan in general, this place really hits the spot. I’d have to say they’re probably the best in the area by a good margin. The prices are reasonable and the quality has been impeccable the past 10+ times we’ve eaten there. Our typical order consists of usually about 4 – 6 items and a few custom requests, so you know the attention to detail is there. Some favorites are the Drunken Noodles, Chicken Pad Thai, King’s Curry, but everything so far has been amazing! The first time I ate here, the ambiance was homely and pleasant, with that small hole-in-the-wall type feel, and I noticed lots of locals arriving to pickup their takeout orders. Following that trend, we seem to call in an order at least once a month now! They’re a small family restaurant where the quality of food is high and the customer support is extremely friendly and welcoming. They’re doing a great job! Try them out, you’ll love their food!

This is the best thing to eat. It’s more than fresh and the flavors are right on spot. The yellow Curry has the perfect balance of spice’s. If you are ever in Santee you must try this treasure of a restaurant.

I love Thai food… and I was excited to try this place out. I ordered the pad Thai with chicken and the fresh salad rolls. First of all, both dishes look good. I did not notice the fish sauce smell that some other reviewers mentioned. I got my pad Thai at a level 3 for spiciness. Ummm… holy cow bat man… what does a ten taste like!!! I have to assume they made a mistake. I usually get a 5 but since it was my first time here, I tried to be safe. I almost couldn’t eat my food. Call me a wuss if you will… but that isn’t a 3. The salad rolls were alright. The peanut sauce is delish. Prices are average. I did take out so I can’t say much about the service other than my food was ready relatively fast.

I really enjoy a good hole in the wall restaurant! This restaurant sits in an empty strip mall, so it is a teeny bit hard to find. The décor is cheesy but cute bc thats how most hole in the walls are decorated. The food is good. We ordered the 3 flavor fish and pad see ew. I really enjoyed the noodles but the fish was just okay for me. Im glad I tried the fish but i would not order it again. Overall a good experience. I think the linda vista location is better.

This is not a fancy restaurant but it is a restaurant that always has consistently good food. Like most Thai places its better to go during lunch hour because the prices are a lot better then. My favorite is the garlic fish it is spiced just right. On a spicy hot spell they tend to be more on the hot side even in the water where you say you only want spices to taste more like four or five. I definitely would recommend this place. Most people say they like beef phở noodle but I still would go with the garlic fish. The beef PHO noodle here as tomatoes added two weeks to me doesn’t quite fit and I am not one that likes tomatoes the garlic fish is perfect though. The service is a mixed bag sometimes they come every few minutes asking if you want more water etc. but the last time I went there and they did not ask me at all. All in all I rate this is one of my favorite places to go though.

If you are wanting to make your tastebuds tingle with delight, you must check out Sab-E-Lee 2. The flavors are magnificent and will leave you wanting to try the whole menu. Like others have noted, start low on the spiceness level on your first order or two until you figure out what you body can endure… it can get purdy darn spicy if you order«10 spicy» It is a very casual environment — nice if you are not looking to get all fancy but are looking for a great value and awesome Thai food.

So so good. Love the shrimp pad Thai and chicken satay. Their peanut sauce is so good. The food is pretty spicy. Make sure you let them know if you don’t want it too hot. Sometimes they don’t ask. There have been times that it was too hot for us. Mostly we do takeout after a long day at work. The people working are great. They engage the children they don’t ignore them. The parking lot is adequate. They are closed one day during the week. Can’t remember when so check that out before you head over.

Geezus! This place blew me away. Ordered: Bags of Gold, Drunken Noodles and Shrimp & scallop dumplings in choice of curry(went with panang). Everything was absolutely delicious! I only recommend for them to get rid of the carpet. The smell wasn’t strong but it did make me hesitate eat here. The place wasn’t so appealing to the eye; pink and pale pink walls, the bathrooms(yuck). I would most definitely go back. Loved the food. Four stars instead of 5 only because of the carpet, restrooms and ambiance; fix that and it would be a 5 star joint!
