Will never shop there again. Salesman lied about the Apple care on the MacBook 12″ in order to sell it to me. Then when I needed what he told me it covered I was screwed. Worse they were not apologetic when I wanted to return the Apple care as I would have never bought it except for what the salesman stated it covered.

I typically keep my reviews to food only, but every once in a while I’ll take a step outside of my comfort zone. I came here yesterday to trade in a few games, and I also planned on signing up for their gamer’s club(awfully nerdy name, and nerdy of me) for the 20% off new games. Here’s my issue guys. In order to trade in anything, you go through customer service as opposed to the gaming department. Customer service is where all the returns and consumer complaints go. So, you’ll understand when I say that even when there’s one or two people in that line, it’s going to be a while. That was the exact case I experienced. I waited about 20 minutes to finally complete my transaction. Then I was told that I wouldn’t be able to purchase my item at the same time, and I would have to go wait in another line at check out. That just seems like a lousy way of doing things considering they’re able to do exchanges and purchases based on the customer that was in front of me. The associate who assisted me with the gamer’s club membership was friendly, but again I found myself unassisted until I had to seek someone out myself. There seems to be a lack of urgency here in regards to actually assisting customers. I find that to be the case with most Best Buy stores. The only saving grace is that getting 20% off new games is a major plus, and it’s a far better incentive than what other retailers offer. On customer service alone however, it barely garners two stars.

Still waiting on repair of my refrigerator. I have had 5 service calls with no results. When I called the Geek Squad they offered to send another repairman. They are unbelievably incompetent. I will never shop here again especially not for appliances.

Honestly I don’t know why I keep calling/coming to/or buying anything from this store. Today was the fourth occasion over a span of 3 months I have tried to call and ask a question(today it was regarding potential laptop repair, last time I was trying to purchase the new Polaroid camera) and no matter what button you press or option you choose there is a MINIMUM hold time of 10 mins to get a person on the phone. Today I waited 17 minutes for someone to answer the phone only to put me back on hold and actually disconnect me. I don’t know why I would even think to trust these people with my laptop. If I could give zero stars I would.

This store has the«soon to go out of business» atmosphere. Was eager to buy some items but the salespeople were indifferent, except for one nice salesman who had to direct me to another store. The stock here is poor(the BB on the S. Trail is much larger), and the staff are more than usually clueless about their products. Found what I wanted much more easily online.

bought 2 new samsung note 3 phones from best buy and was told i needed the geek squad plan to fix anything that went wrong with the computer inside of the phone. I have paid 14.99 for each phone for 2 years and never needed the service. They suck the money right out of your bank account. To cancel there are a million prompts to direct your call and none of which are related to cancel. After reaching the customer service rep in the phillipines, she cancelled BUT refused to refund the charges for December which was taken out in November. Today is Dec.1st I was ripped off… dont use this service. It is a direct leach to your bank account.

Treis Williams in install, did a fabulous job, he took his time, and when other customers would come in to ask him a question, he was very patient and polite, a customer came in and her daughter was mentally challenged, she was talking to him, he was so pleasant to her. My husband is very picky and hard to please, thank you for your fantastic install, I will definitely recommend you, also I want to say that while we were waiting we went in the store everyone was so nice to us, we were just looking, thank you Best Buy

I hate to write negative reviews since people’s lively hood is at stake, but what a bunch of inept people. I roamed around looking for help, and not one person tried to assist me. They were loaded with employees, when I finally approached someone, they had no idea what they were talking about. I knew more about the subject than they did. I tried another person, and they literally kept reading from the product description to «help out». Never again. Then they wonder why brick and mortar businesses are bankrupting. I’m staying g with online shopping. Amazon here I come.

Went to order a camera that was not in stock. Customer service tried their best but seemed clueless as to ordering the camera from their warehouse which had plenty in stock. Spent about an hour in the store & after they told me that it was a different package, one from a marketplace vendor, I just walked out of the store. This is the second major camera purchase I have tried to make at Best Buy only to leave disappointed. I quess that they did pretty good on black friday to where they could let a $ 2500.00 sale walk out the door.

If I could give 0 star ratings I would. This is not for the general store but specifically their Geek Squad. I have dealt with them twice since moving to Sarasota two months ago and each time I went the gentleman I dealt with had an arrogant demeanor about them like I was the slowest person they ever met or was wasting their time. I work in the hospitality and I too get frustrated at times with customers but always try to remember that knowledge I might have of the industry was obtained with job experience rather than always common knowledge and it does not mean the individual I might be dealing with at the time is incompetent or trying to be annoying. I went to them because I was working on a document that was very important to me that I lost and I wanted some help if any could be provided by an individual who was experienced in what I needed help in. With that being said so it does not seem like I am just a complaining type person who doesn’t have a kind word to say, the other facets of the Best Buy store I have dealt with have been pleasurable experiences. The store is clean and well arranged, the other members of the staff were helpful and knowledgeable and eager to assist when seeing a customer.

Yes, it’s a big box store, but their prices are pretty darn competitive and the staff is friendly and helpful. It keeps the locals employed and consumers get a chance at seeing, feeling electronics while asking a human questions in person, so I’m a fan. I had an automatic car starter installed once and the garage guys were super helpful and gave me no problems when I showed up there again when I had a question. They don’t have a huge selections of lenses like a camera store, but it’s still a nice selection of cameras and bags. They have all the latest phones and notebooks, pads and every other gizmo, so go in and have fun!
