Being from the Northeast, where we have had independent sub shops forever, I am not a big fan of the chains like Subway, Jimmy John’s or locally, DeAngelo’s(their sandwiches are pretty good, but overpriced). Having said that, Jimmy John’s is not bad. Maybe slightly overpriced, but decent quality of product. Service is a little slow(they weren’t busy), and employees seemed to be as interested in their personal conversations as their customers.

Good luck if you try this nasty establishment. Swear I saw bugs behind the counter. Gross, rude and unless you live really close expect to pick up as hey deliver in only the tiniest radius. Pitiful. Awful. Many other better options for subs.

Worst delivery service ever. I live 5 minutes away and they have consistently taken over 45 minutes to an hour to deliver one sandwich.

Not sure about other’s experiences, but the service was extremely quick and good. Order was exactly as I wanted. No complaints from me.

What’s to say, Jimmy John’s is a great place to grab a quick bite and the delivery is by far the best in the business. The stores are always clean and the service is always fast and friendly. I really don’t have anything to complain about at all. The reason I gave it 4 stars is simply that I can not give 5 stars to a fast food restaurant. I don’t feel as though that the five star rating is applicable. I definitely come here often and I enjoy their food. If you’re in the area, stop by and grab a bite. It’s exactly what you would expect of all of the Jimmy John’s.

Service sucks in this place. Management needs to learn the meaning of customer service.

Hubby went in to grab lunch after a big day of shopping. Was back out to the car in under 5 min. Sandwiches were good and the pickle was AMAZING. I like the speed at which they do things because when you’re sitting in the car with two kids ready for a nap, every second counts!

Five people standing around and every, and I mean every single table was absolutely filthy. Floors were dirty, and in the 20 minutes it took to eat my sandwich I didn’t see anyone with a broom. Sandwich was standard quality but what a mess!

Okay, after going by Jimmy John’s since it opened about a year ago on Cattleman, my husband and I decided to try one. What a mistake! Somehow our sandwich tasted like sardines or anchovies… it had a fishy taste, and I am not sure where that would have come from. Other than that, we ordered it with vinegar and oil and mayo… couldn’t taste the vinegar at all. I think they should focus on «correct» rather than«fast»

How sad to see a franchise go down the toilet. I actually worked at one of the first of two original Jimmy John’s in Charleston, IL in 1987. I generally avoid bread, so rarely get subs from anywhere, but on rare occasion will break down to indulge. I did eat the Italian sub on Ringling about a year ago, and don’t remember it being as bad as this one on Cattlemen recently. I ordered the Italian sub, brought it back to my office only to find that it was primarily lettuce, w/tiny bits of meat and cheese and almost no condiment all for the wonderful price of $ 6. For the same price at Publix, I can get a Boars head with literally about 3 or 4 times the ingredients, and a FAR better sub than this craphole. AVOIDTHISPLACE and remember. If it’s from Publix Deli, it’s good for your belly.

Fresh sandwich. Got the Italian and the meat was fresh but before they finished making it, I asked for mayonnaise and the girl said she would have to remake the whole sandwich. Really? Add it to the side of the bread. The food was better than the service and would come back here for a sandwich.

Pretty crappy sandwich. They’re so obsessed with giving me the food fast that they don’t take the time to ask how you want it. I always avoided going here because of the annoying commercials. Today I finally walked in and it sucks so bad that I’m writing this review instead of eating. I think I’ll go next door to Chipotle and call this an $ 8 learning experience.

Ugh. I never understood the hype about this place. When I was in college, my friends would constantly get Jimmy John’s, most frequently after a night out at the bars since JJ’s stayed open late. Even when in a very inebriated state, JJ’s didn’t taste that great to me. I just don’t get it. While out running errands today, hunger hit me, and I was in the mood for a sub. Jimmy John’s was in the same plaza, so I decided to give it a whirl in hopes that maybe I was wrong in years past. Why, why oh why did I second guess myself. I decided to go with the #4 Turkey Tom, because you can’t go wrong with a turkey sub, right? Wrong. I asked for everything on it minus tomatoes and cucumbers. Luckily I was standing behind the counter, because as the guy started making my sub, he immediately started putting tomatoes on it. I kindly reminded him that I had asked for no tomatoes or cucumbers, so he takes the tomato off and proceeds to take a napkin and wipe the tomato juices off the bread. Gross. I didn’t pay attention for the rest of the assembly, and I wish that I had. When I arrived home to eat it, I was grossed out. The amount of meat is so sparse, in the first place. The lettuce was wilted and browned and was sopping in mayo. I couldn’t even taste the mustard they supposedly put on it. There was no salt or oregano seasoning, and only vinegar, no oil. Seriously disgusting. The only good thing about this meal was the bag of chips I thankfully got with it. JJ’s was advertising all over that they cater, and I cater multiple times a week for my job. I can honestly say that I wouldn’t even subject my most hated office to this food. Spare yourself and get a Publix sub instead. Trust me on this.

Always a good sandwich! I generally frequent the location near work in downtown Sarasota but fortunately Jimmy John’s has a standardized product so this location is equally good. The #13 Gourmet Veggie Club is my favorite. It’s excellent with very tasty 7 Grain bread but if you’re looking to cut some calories order it as an Unwich. You’ll be surprised how good it is.

I have ordered from here many of times and have never had a bad experience. I change up the way I like my sandwich and every time its made right. It’s hard for me to get away for lunch and they save me with their super fast delivery.

They had a customer appreciation day today — their $ 4.99 subs were a buck. Went out for one(my first time at JJ’s). There was a long line out the door, but it moved super quick and I scored my sub and left super fast. I ordered the veggie sub. I can’t say whether they made them skimpy because they were churning them out for a buck or if that’s the way they always are, but it was pretty lean and nothing special. It was ok, and just ok, and I wouldn’t go out of my way to go back. Come to think of it, I don’t think I’d go back even if I were in the plaza.

They advertise everywhere that«We Deliver», so I thought I would try them. I am 1.8 miles away and they refused to deliver since I was” outside the delivery zone”. As much as I wanted to cancel the order at that time I decided to give them a shot and pick up the order(less than 5 minute away, but outside the delivery zone!). Turns out it was not worth the trip. It was a big log of bread with hardly anything in it. I would not recommend this place and won’t be going back.

I still love the food here(read my glowing review below) but have to knock them down to 2 stars. We often pick-up and this was our first time dining-in. They have VERYLOUD head-banger music playing. As we were the only customers eating in the restaurant I asked a management type to turn down the music. He advised the sound level is dictated by corporate policy and they have it less loud than policy dictates. I really thought he was kidding when in fact he was not. There is a certain irreverence to their«style»; funny signs, T shirts with flippant sayings etc. and I guess the core market is 16 to 25 or so. But come on, I saw people of all ages picking up food. Doubt they would lose much business if the sound level was more reasonable. Maybe they’ll turn it down when they get hit with a class action suit from some ambulance chaser for damaging the hearing of their employees. I mentioned this to a friend who was trying it on my recommendation and he told me once he heard the volume level he left before ordering. Food: 5 star Atmosphere: 1 star

unfortunately I didn’t have a chance to eat here because I was so appalled by the attitude of the staff. I simply asked if I could have the turkey just warned in a microwave for 10 secs, because I’m pregnant and my doctor says no cold deli meats. well, instead of a no we can’t do that, one of the employees, a large girl with glasses rudely yelled show then your shirt, adding«no HOT sandwiches» treating me like I’m a complete idiot! ridiculous! I will never support this franchise after that, going to go to the one on ringling from now on.
