Tried the chicken Italian panini and it was on point.
Incredible flavor very well put together, one of the better sandwiches I’ve had in a while.
The service is friendly the price is right and the quality is excellent.
It’s a hole in the wall, but as the other reviewers mentioned that is no reason to pass by.
The sides were blah but everything else was perfect.
I’ll be returning for sure.

I’m not gonna lie… I walked up to this place a bit skeptical. The area surrounding it, and the upkeep (or lack of) on the building had me really questioning what I was getting myself into. Everyone was very kind and super accommodating. Prices are more than reasonable and definitely worth every penny. All of my doubts about this place went away when I opened up the packaging to behold my beautiful sandwich. I got the chicken italian panini. chicken, salami, pepperoni, pesto mayo, spinach, provolone (i switched to american) cheese, and peppers. WOW. being an italian + from philly, i did not have high expectations. however this sandwich blew me out of the water! the flavor combined so well I felt like I was eating something from Rachel Ray herself. well put together, everything staying in place, and the best taste of M Y L I FE. (the panini was so big that i only ate half and am eating the other half for lunch tomorrow!) ahh!
I gave this four stars because the atmosphere really was outdated and not well kept. I would order this panini (and maybe even venture out to other sandwiches!) again and again.

We were looking for a quick bite and found a review of this place on here. Reviews didn’t lie, it’s a hidden gem. Food was fresh, delicious and not pricey. Service was great. Very very pleased with this selection!

Everything’s fresh and presented well. NO money has been frittered away on location, storefront, or dining area. Essentially, this red brick building with a sand parking lot straddling residential and industrial neighborhoods, looks like a social services office that Tallahassee forgot. You enter a single, speak easy sort of door, and immediately order at a window that looks on the bustling kitchen. You will see everybody smiling. There is a good reason for this. Slide down the hallway, turn right and wait for your order to be brought to the table. It comes before you can select a retro table and pull up a chair.
I had crab chowder. Spiced, thick, and golden. Delicious. Now I am joining all the smiley people in this place. Then I opened the take out carton holding my chicken almond raspberry salad. It is named that because. well, you get the picture. You don’t have to guess because it has the name of a movie star or a politician. Straight to the point, and also delicious.

Very god fresh and fast food. Wonderful service, a really good place to go for lunch or even pickup food for home.

I must say that my fellow Unilocalers absolutely nailed this one. It’s not a place I would have ever stopped and tried given the outside appearance. I honestly thought it was some type of elderly breakfast diner, but man oh man was I wrong. It’s a phenomenal little sandwich shop with some of the nicest employees around.
My wife and I both ordered the pressed Italian 8 inch sandwich. First of all, it’s less than seven dollars which is an absolute steal. It comes with a choice of chips, potato salad, macaroni salad, or three colored pasta salad. It’s fresh, tasty, and made with care. Whenever I do a review on a sandwich shop I always make it a point to let you guys know that I’ve ordered sandwiches from dozens of different places, from local mom and pop shops to big name restaurants. I grade them all on the same scale regardless of price, and I’m happy to say that this place ranks near the top.
«So why then did you give it 4 stars and not the ever sought after 5?» Well, because a dining experience is more than just the food. The décor was severely outdated, it isn’t the cleanest place around town, and the soda fountain machine was rusty and looked like it hasn’t been wiped down in a while. Don’t let that keep you from trying this place! Go for the food, but it isn’t fine dining and shouldn’t be expected to look like it is.

It is a very unassuming place. In fact, if you were driving by it, you would not even notice it. It’s one of those «Don’t judge a book by its cover» kind of places. If you’re in the area looking for a great place to get a sandwich, GO! These people take pride in what they serve. I would not have gone there if not for seeing it on Unilocal.I never give 5 stars, but this time I had to do it.

This is a true gem. The entire staff was friendly and attentive while answering our questions and taking our order. We got there just before one on a Tuesday and there was plenty of seating in the casual dining room. There was easy parking behind the building in the lot. I was reminded, in the best way, of the no-​frills, attention to detail of the most authentic sandwich shops Tampa has to offer. This owner CARES about the food, as other reviewers have mentioned. Feeling totally satisfied and will return.

This is my new go to spot for lunch in Sarasota! I ordered the raspberry pear salad (I highly recommend it) for delivery and I was extremely impressed with the freshness of the ingredients and the taste! If you order for delivery, be sure to order well in advance as they get extremely busy during the day.

Do not let the looks of the place fool you. These people care about their food and you can taste it in every bite. My favorite is the grilled veggie sub followed up by a warm brownie (I mean, I did eat veggies after all… I deserve a brownie). Salads are substantial and plenty enough for a full meal.
If you go at lunch, be prepared to wait a little because this place is a hidden gem and people flock to it at lunchtime.
The people who work there know all of the regulars by name and are super friendly.
Seating is somewhat limited with probably less than 10 tables but most people are getting takeout so I have never had a problem getting a table even when they are busy.

Outstanding Soups, Salads and Sandwiches. The soups sell out fast so get here early. This place is small, and the seating is limited to about 9 tables. I could eat here everyday. If I used one word to describe this place it would be WOW!

Had lunch delivered to the office. Food was outstanding and reasonably priced. We will be going back for more, hidden gem in Sarasota. Highly recommended, looking forward to trying other menu items. Great lunch spot.

The people who run this are just THE BEST. I’m a vegetarian, and never have I ever encountered a restaurant so eager to modify dishes/​suggest meat alternatives/​etc. (without acting like I’m a snob for not eating meat!). Their sandwiches are perfect– bread is always toasted just right.

First visit after doing a Unilocal search in the area. Based on the favorable reviews, we decided to check it out. My wife had a «pressed «veggie and I had maple chicken with Brie and thin apple slices. DELICIOUS! Tasty and fresh!

Yummy yummy all the way! Very welcoming owner. You gotta come try it out. The soup is outstanding. The sandwichs is out of this world!

I love this place so much! Owned by the friendliest people who greet you by name. Everything is DELICIOUS! I wish they were open all the time. I usually get the club sandwich with cucumber and onion because it is pretty much the most delicious sandwich I have ever had. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Sarasota. It is definitely a well kept secret.

Great reviews, really? The service was very polite, very friendly and they seem like nice people. I saw that everyone was busy working. However, the food was average at best, nothing you could not make at home. I could not help but notice the general lack of cleanliness. When asked if dine in or take out, I opted for dine in, then after peaking into the dining area I optioned for take-​out. The tables were clean as well as chairs. It was everything else, the floors, the walls, the ceilings, the A/​C vents and so on. It makes you really wonder how sanitary the place is. Anyways, you don’t see that stuff if you take out or opt for delivery.

Don’t let the location or the outside appearance fool you. Maximillian’s is by far my favorite place to go for lunch in all of Sarasota /​Bradenton. In fact, a coworker and I drive 30 minutes all the way from Lakewood Ranch to go here, because the food is that good!
Everything on the menu is delicious, you really can’t go wrong with anything as all of the ingredients are fresh while being of high quality. I usually order their Apple Walnut Salad and it is by far the most delicious salad I’ve ever had. Reggie and his team set a new standard of quality for me, which nobody else has been able to reach at this price point.
Another awesome thing worth noting is the customer service. Everyone is always so happy, polite, and super friendly there. If you go a couple times they will even remember your name and favorite menu items. Customer service that awesome is super rare these days. I recommend Maximillian’s to everyone I know and I will definitely be a lifetime customer!

This place is sort of hidden, but its definitely worth the search. I always get the Chicken Walnut Salad. Its really fresh and the portions are huge! Its a must go! They deliver too.

A small place on 10^th Street between 301 and Orange Avenue. It is a walk in order and sit down type place but the food is really excellent especially the chicken sandwich. I always get the chef salad which is enormous. It’s worth a quick stop if you only have a half hour for lunch.
