Great Service. Great Cocktails. Enjoyed the food. We had the deviled eggs, tater tots, tiki chicken wings, and chicken herb flat bread.

Worst bar in Sarasota. Explains why it’s never busy! They should probably fix their sign that says«Broadway Bar.» If you know anything about business, you might want to advertise your establishment with the correct name! Oh and probably treat your customers & employees with respect. Remember, word of mouth matters! :)

Love the crab cakes and the tater tots. Dog friendly too. Owner and wait staff are friendly. Good cocktail and beer choices. Love this place

Really enjoyed both the food and atmosphere of The Starlite Room! The BLT was delicious as well as the grouper sandwich. Cocktails at the bar were made to perfection. Entertainment by crooner John Russo topped off the evening. Looking forward to our next visit!

We ordered tater tots and mac and cheese that was great. Buffalo flat bread real bad. The bar tender never asked us how we were doing or if all was good. I had to ask him to take lousy Flatbread off bill. Won’t be back

What a strange experience! We didn’t have a reservation, so we were seated upstairs which was fine. Our waitress then proceeded to complain throughout the entire meal how difficult it was to bring us bread/wine/food from doest airs and that she’s have lost 10 pounds from all the running around. The«food runner» who brought our salads and entrees brought our food to the wrong table twice! That said, the food was actually quite good. The mussels were in a delicious sauce and would have been close to perfect if four of them hadn’t been closed up and therefore inedible. The tuna entrée with risotto was fantastic, as we’re the fish and chips and the goat cheese omelet. So…good food, lousy service. I guess it’s better than the other way around!

Love the hip mid century vibe of this place. We have been twice: the first time I ordered the short ribs and pierogies. Everything on the plate was cold, really cold. So I sent it back and when they returned it the carrots were still cold, the peirogies were tough and inedible but the short ribs were PERFECT… like the best I have ever had. The husband had eggplant rollitini and the eggplant was completely uncooked. We went back with friends and stuck with simple burger and fries with no complaints. I feel like their prices are a little high and they are trying to be more upscale but the food and service just isn’t there yet. I give them 2 of the 3 stars just for atmosphere and the other star for the ribs, the glorious ribs.

So, went back to the Starlite Room after opening night of a show, to have a bite and this go around was really wonderful… first, I have to say that anyone who supports live theatre the way that the owner Tyler does, is first rate in my book. He is a great guy with a huge heart. I was so hungry and looking forward to a good meal. I was told that crab cakes were the special but opted for the turkey club only to find out that there was no turkey to be had. So, I decided on the crab cake entrée and it did not disappoint at all. I also ordered a side of broccolini. The crab cakes were delicious and served with an amazing and spicy corn remoulade. The entrée also came with tasty heirloom carrots and mashed potatoes. The flavor combinations were just great! The other great part of this restaurant is the service and the care that the owner and his staff put into the experience. You can feel that they truly care that their guests are satisfied and happy. Until the next time!

Cute bar! Love the style. I’ll have to come back and try the Martinis. I had mojitos and they were good. I came here with group of friends for dinner. There menu is very limited. Everyone ordered the special, surf and turf, and really enjoyed it. I had the salad and the dressing was doused all over. :-(. I’m hoping to try this place again and have a better experience. On a plus, there was live jazz music. I believe it started at 7pm. There wasn’t a lot of people in the restaurant, more in the bar than anything.

I REALLY wanted to like this place. It has a cool vibe and it clearly is a popular place for cocktails. In fact, the bar was packed, while the restaurant was virtually empty. That should have been a sign. Here are my ratings for the entire experience:(0 – 10) Bar atmosphere — 9 Quality of Drinks — 8(had the French 75, which was pretty solid) Prince Edward Mussels — Priced well, looked like a nice portion, but were sold out when i tried to order them. Spinach and Artichoke Dip — 2(totally forgettable and tasteless) Onion Straws — 3(I was really looking forward to these, but they were not worth the wait) Mac and Cheese — 3(Forgettable) Char Grilled New York Strip — 6(my 6 year old ended up eating the whole steak) St. Louis Baby Back Ribs — 2(I’m from St. Louis, you sir are no St. Louis Ribs. In fact you were essentially a plate of chewy fat with a few bones in them). Service — 5(Average) I decided to pass on dessert because all of my other dishes were pretty«meh». I might be back for drinks, but I won’t be back for dinner. There are just so many other places to try here in SRQ.

Excellent Menu, not a bad item on it. Be sure to try the appetizers! Fantastic especially the deviled eggs with crispy prociutto. Service great and very good value for the money.

I LOVE this room! And if you’re into vintage and(take the cute booth where you can sit next to each other), adorable décor than this is the place for you. Meatballs… Meh, okay. Lighting, YES! And apparently the fish dinner was phenomenal! #mcm mmmmm love this place!

The vibe was cool and what I expected. I loved that. The food was«ok» and I would probably try a steak or Prime Rib next time. I bought the French Dip with fries before a concert at the Van Wezel. They must get busy before shows, they knew exactly how to hustle us in and out of there. That was awesome! The reason for the 3 stars was my drink — a classic Whiskey Sour served in a short water glass with a lime??? What??? Not a very tasty sour either and lacked the right glass and garnish. For such a classic looking place I thought a classic drink like a whiskey sour would have been perfect. Next time hopefully.

Any place that has class enough to feature Michael Royal, one of the best jazz pianists in the country, is okay by me. Atmosphere is easy, great food is pretty easy, and both are easy to come by, but not great jazz players. Call and find out what nights he’s playing and go have your mind blown.

Very cool place in a supper club motif. Try the Starlite Old Fashioned. The prime rib and NY strip were very good. Service by Tyler was excellent.

What a pleasant surprise! I typically go for more upscale fare, but I also love to try new restaurants. So when we saw the new sign, we decided to check it out. On our first visit, Tyler, the new owner, was very welcoming and personable and — obviously really proud of his new venture — gave us a tour of both floors.(They were still working on turning the 2nd floor into a lounge.) The casual, warm atmosphere matches that of the staff, and the bar is a fun place to have dinner or drinks with friends. We’ve been back 3 more times since and have not been disappointed. The fish and chips rival any other in Sarasota. Their house-smoked salmon appetizer is a nice light meal — more than enough for an entrée. Their jalapeño margaritas were amazing. Our servers were all friendly, cheerful and courteous, and never pushy. We really enjoy the staff — some of the nicest in Sarasota! Everyone here is doing a terrific job(especially considering they’ve only been open a few months!) and give a great value. Keep up the great work!!!

The Starlite Room is one of those rare places that you stumble across and wish it was in your town! We were in Sarasota visiting some friends, and were sick of the mediocre beach side restaurant scene. And we found the Starlite Room and we are glad we did! The atmosphere is amazing and the food was there to back it up. The prime rib was so good so so so GOOD! I also enjoyed their Starlite Old Fashioned. I cannot wait to visit again!

Must read whole review… There’s a twist(food is awesome). I was a bit hasty to judge the Starlite Room room in the early days. They didn’t quite have all the kinks worked out, and I was unable to place a to go order because their phone system was not properly setup yet. I was angry cause I was really craving a pastrami sandwich. Now… All I can say is that I’m sad I missed out on that amazing sandwich for the past few months. It is one of the best pastrami sandwiches I’ve ever had. The short ribs are also excellent, and I was very fond of the homemade key lime cheesecake. All around awesome experience. Definitely come here. I’d love to see this place around for a long time to come.

Great new place downtown for dinner and or drinks! The atmosphere is reminiscent of old hollywood. The food and service were excellent. I had a ny strip, frittes and ceaser both were delicious and classic style. Great building 2 nd floor soon to be a swanky lounge. Recommend checking it out now before word gets out.
