A good and messy Reuben We stopped in today for lunch, and I went with the Rosemary Reuben. I love Reubens and I also like to try offerings that include the restaurant’s name. I feel a restaurant is particularly proud of the dishes that include their name, or should be. And this was a sandwich to be proud of. Messy, warm, and very good, both the sauerkraut and the corned beef had noticeable flavor. I lost some of my sandwich to my wife, who was also quite impressed. They have seating inside and out, and added indoor seating from when it was The Savoy. The décor was pleasant. Service was professional and our food arrived in about 10 minutes. We parked in the angled spots in front, and found our view mostly blocked as we backed out onto Orange Ave., so if there are spots around back(I don’t know), they may be safer and easier.

Party of 5 for dinner on a busy night. Everyone was very satisfied with their meal. Anytime 5 people can go to dinner and there are no complaints that’s a win in my book. Even though it was extremely busy the noise level was very reasonable and we could actually converse. The service was attentive and food was well paced. Give it a try, If you like hot, freshly prepared, tasty, clean, food you will not be disappointed. We will be back. Make a reservation.

we were very disappointed with the service at Rosemary. we booked an early seating and our waiter, Alvin, rushed us from the moment we sat down. We asked for a few minutes more with the menus and he took our order right away. He reappeared several times during our meal asking if we were finished and when we asked for a few minutes before receiving the bill, he brought it right away and hovered over the table for immediate payment. I understand that it was a busy Friday night and as three older women(two in our 80’s) we were easy to push out the door; yet we were asked to leave after less than one hour and our waiter made up some story that someone waiting outside needed to sit down so «could we leave right away after paying the bill». We had hoped for a quiet and restful evening and yet were rushed from the moment we entered the restaurant. If we had wanted fast food we could have gone to McDonalds…

Disappointing dinner after multiple positive lunch visits. Meat loaf was flavorless no garlic on the escargot blad potatoes… Wont be going back…

We went to The Rosemary on a Friday night. The evening started out a little shaky when we arrived for our reservation and had to wait about 30 minutes for our table. It turns out that the restaurant had been overbooked(by a substitute person taking reservations.) When we were seated, the owner, George, immediately came over to our table and apologized, and asked us to select a bottle of wine, compliments of the house — nice touch! It only got better from there. The food was outstanding(tuna tartare, grouper, meat loaf, veal chop, sea bass) and the service was so pleasant. To top it off, they brought out complimentary desserts for the table. They turned what might have been a negative into a more than positive experience for all of us. We will definitely return, and will definitely bring others with us!

1st time visit & very positive impression, fantastic friendly professional service, comfortable ambience, Saturday night full house & didn’t feel cramped or too noisy but a nice busily background buzz Started with the roasted pepper Bisque which was excellent paired with provided bread 2 entrees were ordered the Pork Osso Bucco & the meatloaf, both were excellent but the gold star goes to the Osso Bucco, super tasty & flakes off the bone, really well done Apple pie alla mode & Chocolate tart for dessert completed the meal Wine is very decent with some good by the glass wines, I can highly recommend the Russian River Pinot Noir

My wife and I had lunch on 2÷5÷16. We arrived at 11:45 and were promptly and cordially seated inside. Only 3 other tables were occupied. Within 15 minutes the restaurant was full, including the tables outside. We each ordered omelettes(breakfast is served until 2:30) and they were delicious, as was the apple pie dessert. The atmosphere and décor are charming and our waitress was attentive. We plan to go back soon for a dinner experience and we highly recommend this for an excellent dining experience. Harry Cohen

There were six of us for dinner. Four people had salad and had to send them back because it was old lettuce. The people who ordered soap loved theirs. The salmon entre was really great. Also the Pork Osso Bucco was really good tasting and a large portion. The fettucine was like any other fettucine you get in dozens of places in town. They only serve wine at this restaurant. I thought it was nice but a little overpriced. Hard to find parking since only street parking available.

Don’t waste your time. The food was bad and the service was worse. Never refilled our coffee or cleared the table and held us hostage waiting for the bill. I had the Migas, which is two scrambled eggs with 1 slice of pepper jack, on a sea of out-of-the-bag tortillas chips that were covered in out-of-the-can salsa verde. No meat with the dish(which is a common theme on their menu), so I ordered a side of sausage. I received two previously frozen meat links. To summarize: this restaurant is trying to be something it’s not. It’s trying to be gourmet, but is barely making greasy spoon. Still charging gourmet prices. Just add it to the list of bad restaurants at this location.

A quaint spot with very good breakfast(fishcakes and poached eggs with key lime béarnaise), lunch(opened faced ahi tuna tartar on grilled rye) and dinner(braised pork shank and seared sea scallops on vegetable risotto.) The staff is so friendly and the place is clean and bright. I can see going a few times a week. Al fresco as well.

Cute place with yummy quiches! Love the location which is near Station 400 and Blue Rooster, and the service was great. Our waitress was super nice. However my Rosemary potatoes needed a hint of rosemary. Mine were a little bland. Love the Rosemary mint soap in the bathroom. Made me think Rosemary mint iced tea would be a hit at lunchtime. Offering some fun flavored coffee at breakfast would make me return too.

We decided to try The Rosemary yesterday after having learned that Savory Street Café was no longer in business at this same location. We met friends from Canada there and were absolutely delighted with the look of the new place, its ambience and menu. It was quiet and had a very relaxed atmosphere. I chose to order one of the quiche dishes and it was sensational. {I also make my own quiche and it was just as tasty!!}. We all enjoyed our meals and we plan to return when more friends come to visit us from New York in a couple of weeks. We hope to see The Rosemary flourish in 2016 and beyond!!!

Newly opened and renovated in The Rosemary section of Sarasota. The menu is moderately priced with choices which will meet any discriminating diners palate. The meatloaf was exceptional, as was the salmon, scallops and the plat de jour mussels. No one in our group was disappointed in their choices. All of the entrees are carefully presented and plated beautifully. Service is excellent. Reservations, particularly in season, are suggested. This is definitely a «comeback»! Art W.
