Meaney’s Mini Donuts

pals, meaney’s is out-​of-​this-​world. i consider myself a dessert expert and i give meaney’s 5 stars. that says something. first of all, there aren’t many donuts places open late at night. that’s meaney’s first plus– you can grab a donut after dinner. secondly, meaney’s has MINI donuts. i am all about miniature sized food because that means you can try lots more flavors. at meaney’s you can order six mini donuts and mix up your flavors (you can’t go wrong with getting three powdered sugar and three cinnamon sugar). next, meaney’s is cheap. you get a lot of bang for you buck. you can get 12 mini donuts for four dollars. how cool is that? plus, if you are nice to the workers, they often throw a free donut into your bag! and finally, meaney’s is in the heart of «the village» at siesta key. grab your donuts at meaney’s and then head over to the gazebo to enjoy your dessert and some music! overall, meaney’s is a unique spot you gotta try!

Yes yes yes. You will NOT be disappointed by this place, and I’m not even a big donut lover.

I went for the first time Sunday ²⁄₂₁ and I absolutely loved it! I got 3 Strawberry Cheesecake and 3 Apple Pie Doughnuts.
I know for a fact I will never visit Sarasota and not get these. I loved them so much.

Love in a bag, warm crisp sugar coated happiness made fresh as you watch. Plenty of parking. Great service by friendly yet hot sales person and in a fun area.

A perfect little donut hut in the middle of quaint Siesta Key! I’ve never seen a place like it before. I always stop here while in Siesta Key. I usually have the peanut butter donuts but all of the flavors are delicious. This last time I tried key lime donuts for the first time with my friends and it was a huge hit. There’s nowhere to sit so you have to stroll around the key until you find a place to sit. Also, it’s difficult to find parking. The service is friendly and the price is right.

So damn good.
Donuts are fresh and so yummy. The ice cream was also a nice touch and you can make a sundae with the donuts.

FRESH HOT DELICIOUS. First time in Siesta Key, had a craving for donuts and found Meaneys, thank the donut gods!!! They have a great selection of mini donuts from glazed to strawberry cheesecake, AND they’re made right in front of you, so you know they’re fresh. I would come back just for these mini donuts!

We were looking for donuts that did not start with the word dunkin in front of them, and boy are we glad we did. Freshly made right in front of you, these hit all the right touch points, god they’re delish. They have a limited selection, but the selections are classic. The powdered sugar donuts tasted like a fresh funnel cake from the fair and the glazed just melt in your mouth. We’ve been back 3 or four times since our discovery, and we’ve only been in town a week.

SOOO delicous and very inexpensive. Fresh, warm bitesize goodness at your fingertips in Siesta Key. We come at night after dinner just for these and the kids love them. You can choose donuts with powdered sugar, glazed, sprinkles, cinnamon sugar or plain. They serve them 6 on a stick but that’s good for one person (or two if talking about little kids).
It’s a tiny little stand alone shop and you see the donut machine making the donuts right there from the window. LOVE IT!

Came in from Illinois for a bit of R&R — the free taxi drivers told me about this place as a ‘must try.’ Was not disappointed! :) Fun little donuts, fried right in front of you. Cinnamon sugar topping, recommended by the chefesse, was top notch!

The donuts were crunchy on the outside and warm and chewy on the inside. Amazing! They melted in your mouth. MUST STOP! I did not plan on coming here, until it popped up on my Unilocal as I was walking by it checking out the area from Sun Garden Café, a great breakfast joint, to Siesta Key. I am glad I did check this little joint out, as I enjoy sweets and donuts.
The size of their donuts is comparable to donut holes, which means you can eat each one in one bite! The donuts themselves have nice flavor and texture and come with a selection of different toppings to be put on them.
I did not enjoy the strawberry cheesecake ones as much as I thought I would. It was a tad too sweet for me, but it was still enjoyable. The peanut butter chocolate mini donuts were delicious, rich, and thick. It was a tad too much sauce for me; however, I was able to use the leftover sauce on the other donuts (powdered/​cinnamon).
My favorites were just the plain old regular flavors: powdered sugar, cinnamon sugar, and glazed. As said before, you can use the leftover peanut butter chocolate sauce from the peanut butter chocolate donuts.
There is a gazebo near by for some shady seating. I wish they had interior seating with A/​C as it can get pretty hot and humid during the summer; one of the few complaints.
I recommend coming here for a nice, sweet treat, especially if you are going to Siesta Key already.

homemade cake mini donuts fresh and hot! I got the strawberry cheesecake ones and my wife got the chocolate peanut butter ones! both were fantastic! I usually avoid Siesta Key because of traffic and parking issues. But they’re attached to a parking lot with plenty of parking! I would go back out there for donuts again!

If you want to know what it’s like to walk up to heaven, go to Meany’s. We spotted this place on the way into the village and knew it would be a must stop. After almost eating my entire breakfast, we walked our happy selves over for some dessert because that’s what you do on vacation.
The choices are: powdered sugar, cinnamon and sugar, Bavarian cream, chocolate delight, glazed goodie, apple pie, peanut butter cup, chocolate coconut and strawberry cheesecake; as if any could be bad!
We went with the chocolate delight because what’s better than donuts, hot chocolate fudge and rainbow sprinkles? I’ll wait.
To.die for. So good in fact that we stopped in our tracks in the middle of the parking lot to eat them. Six, hot, deep fried, chocolate pieces of heaven. I don’t have to tell you we’ll be back because I think my drooling review speaks for itself. If we were there for any longer than a day and a half I would have gone back five more times.

This is the second time I have come here and I love it!
It’s in the little town in Siesta Key and you can’t miss it.
They taste so good and there’s a few to choose from.

Meany’s mini donuts is a great little place to get fresh hot donuts, ice cream, milkshakes, lemonade or coffee. Located to the right of the Lobster Pot, this little outdoor window ice cream stand type establishment is an awesome place on Siesta Key to get a snack or grab dessert. Very inexpensive, approx 3.75 for 6 donuts, 4.75 for 12 and 5.75 for 19 (at the time of this review and may differ depending on of you get one of the specialty flavors).
The donuts are of course, the signature item here! With flavors including plain, powdered sugar, cinnamon sugar, glazed and other specialty flavors including apple pie, Bavarian cream, peanut butter and more! My favorite is the glazed treat which is 6 fresh donuts covered with glaze and sprinkles =).
If you like donuts or even if you think you don’t like donuts, I think you shouldn’t decide until you’ve had one of Meany’s fresh mini donuts.

Excellent service and very friendly guy! The donuts were made fresh so they were warm and delicious. Almost gave it 5 stars but I would’ve liked a fork perhaps because my hands got so sticky and the napkins don’t take off the stickiness. Oh and the Bavarian crème was perhaps a bit too much for that tiny donut. But I guess that’s just depends on your taste buds and how sweet you want your donut. But great to go at night, loved the atmosphere and very friendly place!

Venturing around Siesta Village, I looked around with my eyes wide open, & saw a pretty decent sized line, not horribly long. Pulled up Unilocal,and saw 4.5. Let’s see what’s up here.
The place next door use to be an outside laundry mat. So I’d never been to either. Like I care about doing laundry outside in the hot hot sun of Florida, no thank you. Well, now it’s a sunglasses & souvenir store, so I go to check out both places.
Anywho, itsy bitsy teeny tiny cute little donuts. Say it fast and repeat. They have glazed, powdered, sprinkely, chocolate coconut, strawberry cheesecake, apple, bavarian to name a few.
We got 3 little minis in two diff flavors. 6 in all for the non math peeps. With tax, $ 4. We don’t love love donuts, but these were crispy and light with yummy flavor. Try it out & you will be happy with glee.

Being the big donut fan, I had to stop by here while I was in the Siesta Key area.
Shortly said, these are mini (like the title) circles of fried batter with toppings/​cream on top. Not sure if it was my timing (about 11:00 AM) or it was just the way it was, but my donuts were rather mushy on the inside. Would have preferred that they were somewhat more dry and not dough-​y wet. Not my usual donut experience, but I enjoyed it!
Minus the donut base, I loved the toppings! Had the strawberry cheesecake and the bavarian cream mini donuts. $ 4 for each of about 6 donuts. The strawberry cheesecake and bavarian were pretty good! Not too sweet, and you can taste distinctly the strawberries and cream.
There’s a parking lot on the side for you to leave your car and head up to the little store. Inside, there’s mini markets of stores where you can buy Siesta Key trinkets too. Across the street that day were farmer markets too. I would recommend it as a good spot to walk off the donuts after you indulged them!

3 words… OH MY GAWD. These have to be the BEST donuts I’ve ever tried. Sweet GEM
Had a funnel cake craving and the powder donuts SURPASSED my craving and expectations. Also ordered the chocolate delight with sprinkles. #BEAST
