Umm. we left less hungry than when we arrived? Limited selection of mediocre food printed on a difficult to read menu. We were seated in the upstairs dining area, which felt very reminiscent of a doctors office waiting room. Falls short of the contemporary setting to which they aspire. The smoked trout appetizer, served on «crisped potato skins» were hollowed out potato halves with a teaspoon sized dollop of crème fraîche and a disproportionately small amount of smoked trout. It was also the same volume of food as a single entrée, since you’re basically getting 3 – 4 Idaho potatoes. The short ribs and and the gulf grouper piccata arrived within minutes of ordering, as if the were already prepared and sitting beneath a heat lamp. Felt very much the style and quality of a cruise ship restaurant. Carnival, not Crystal.

Had a FABULOUS meal. My partner had the The mustard Crusted Tuna –fabulous — and I had the Herb Seared Faroe Island Salmon with purple change quinoa /butternut purée — YUMYUM Excellent The bonus is the location. — if you are going to the Asolo theatre make your reservation early.

While on a trip to the museum(also great!!) we stopped in with family for lunch on a Sunday. Fresh salads, creative sandwiches and specials, fresh and delicious food. We sat outside and drank in ht e FL air. Server was attentive an knowledgeable. We will def be back and it’s good to consider even if you’re not doing the museum. Well done!

While visiting the Ringling Museum, we decided to stay for dinner at The Muse Café. The menu looked fun and interesting so we gave it a shot. I’m so glad we did! Our server was a darling girl from England/Minnesota. She was helpful, polite, fun, bright and very tolerant of our verbal sparring. She had spot on recommendations and our food was very good. We enjoyed the fried calamari, the KFC(Korean Fried Chicken) and the crab cake appetizers. Our entrees were the flat iron steak(cooked to perfection), the crab beignets and shrimp with grits(decent) and the braised short ribs(not my favorite). The desserts were also pretty good(the apple galette and key lime pie). The restaurant menu was very cleverly done and the food well executed. It’s convenient for theater goers or for visitors to the museum. Great service and good food. A solid choice!
