World Of Beer

Fun place, good people and nice beer selection. Was visiting Sarasota and staying next door at the Courtyard. Went over to watch some football. Met a few people that recomended some good beers to try, played a little cornhole, watched some football and had a great time. Highly recommended. The deli and pizza next door are great for take out too.

If you want beer they have it. Probably the best selection anywhere around us here !~

Love this bar. Servers are amazing and there are always some hard to find beers in the cooler.

Awesome place! It’s always a very decent crowd with no shitbags. The live music can be a little amateur-​ish sometimes, but I don’t think it’s fair to ding them on that — I mean, who goes to a place called World of BEER expecting top-​notch live entertainment?!? The beer selection is pretty kickass, and the staff is pretty knowledgeable about the different beers in stock. It’s almost always a sausage-​fest in there, but again, it’s called World of BEER, not World of Shoes…

If you are an IPA connesouier such as myself then you should find another place. They do have some good beers on tap, but their IPA selection is a but weak.
The service is good and they have a great bottled beer selection, but I want to come for tap IPA. Again, if you like other varieties then you are golden.

I’m 39. And I was the youngest patron by two decades. Pretty good beer selection though.

World of Beer is a great place.
But, if you are a beer lover, it’s perfect. So much to choose from, whether it’s by tap or by bottle. They have lots of fun drinks as well, and wine.
We tried the shrimp tacos and they are out of this world. They’re so tasty and fun to eat.
We tried other things as well and enjoyed everything.
The waitresses were all wonderful. The service was outstanding.
Another place to come back to!

If you are a beer or cider person this is the place. While no food is served the pizza place down the way will actually deliver right to your bar stool. How cool is that. Great music and the atmosphere is great. The outside deck is wonderful on a cool Florida night in the fall and winter.

Big outside seating area. The inside is a little tight but I usually go during the slower hours. There are lots of good food options nearby to grab snacks while trying different beers.

Love WOB — they have great beers and I am in the loyalty program. Only problem is that I find a few beers and keep ordering those so I am not racking up points as fast as I should be. The bartenders are very knowledgeable and pleasant — just a fun place to hang out!

Came in on business it was a Tuesday evening not packed but good crowd. Beer selection was eh! Lots of same olé stand by’s but some descent local brew.
The problem and this issue seems to be a company aspect as this isn’t the only WOB I experienced this in is if you are not 1. A local or drink you way around the world customer or 2. Have to literally wave your hand in the servers face you might as well be at a self served place.
I stood at the bar as three separate tenders looked my way and walked on by. Ok so i go outside snd set at an empty table. I got to hand it to them the are consistent. Three female servers walked right passed me never an offer for service or boo.
Made a phone call at the table, no service, finally an opening a patron left the bar, sat down and hand flagged a bar tender… sheeze

Felt like a lottery winner when I saw this place 50 yards from our hotel. Atmosphere was great. Bartenders were friendly and not at all douche-​y. A rarity for a craft beer bar. Needless to say the selection is killer and they have some well-​thought-​out flights available too.

Can’t go wrong here, I just wish your prices were a little bit lower or if you offered a better happy hour!

Great location near the mall. Amazing beers of course. Love the outdoor patio and cornhole. Atmosphere with live music was perfect. Staff is always knowledgeable if you want a mixed drink or try a few new things. I feel more like I’m at a buddy’s backyard but that’s not always a bad thing now is it… keep em pouring…

Awesome place!!! We didn’t have much time to really try out different kinds o beer but we were treated very kindly and everyone in the building was super awesome!!! We are excited to be members!!! They clapped for us haha so cool :)

Net: Good beer selection with good quality. Not much else. 3-​stars is good from me as you have to provide craft beer to even get 3-​stars from me in the bar category.
I see many mentions of high price; however, I don’t believe 5 – 7 $ is too high for craft beer. Don’t come here if you’d like a Bud!
I stopped by while between flights at the airport. The beers were in good condition (which is challenging in small boutique beer bars) which means they do enough volume on their taps to avoid stale beer. I am a hop-​head when it comes to beers and they don’t age well in kegs. There was enough of a selection that I had like 3 or 4 hoppy beers to choose from.
I’d give it four stars if they served some food with it. I realize that the license restriction; however, they could still have some packaged munchy things lying around to support the beer drinking habit.
They had plenty of TVs going which would be good for football; however, when I was there we were forced to re-​live our childhood TV shows. Watching them now as an adult — I thought they were better…
They ambiance is somewhat divey/​hipster, but that is fine with me since they don’t serve food.

Amazing beer selection. Although, I was disappointed to find out that they didn’t have any pumpkin beers in yet. But, I understand they’re having a pumpkin beer event in a week or two!

Have only been here once but my fiancé and I had a great time! I tried their blueberry beer which was delicious and refreshing. It was very packed when we came in so we sat outside. Service took longer than expected but considering how busy they were it wasn’t a big deal to us.
The best part was a lady had brought her huge Bengal cat to the bar and was sitting next to us outside! Awesome

My husband and his friends love this place for their selection of beers and outdoor seating. I’m told the hot dog nazi no longer owns the place, so I’m writing an update as there have been some changes since my first review.
The bar now serves everyone hamburgers and hotdogs. There are even days when they will serve ribs and brats, pretty generous. You can also ask for a binder of menus from nearby restaurants that will either deliver to your table or you can pick up from.
WOB has one of the best beer selections in the area. Wine is also in stock for non-​beer drinkers. What’s often not in stock though, are the specialty beers on the printed menu. They go fast and sell out on busy nights. You shouldn’t have a problem ordering a beer from their big binder though, and check out the chalkboard for some interesting beers too.
What’s still the same is the slow service outside. They are either really attentive or no where to be found. On a couple occasions we sat with empty glasses for what seemed like forever till we had to chase our waitress down and wave her over. The bartenders and the bbq guys are all really friendly and helpful though.
They also have tons of large flat screens and an impressive sound system for watching the game. You can also play corn hole and giant jenga in the parking lot.
