Great food, fantastic service. The menu is mostly Italian but they play on their location near the coast to offer some unique seafood options which is really cool. I’ve had a number of their pasta dishes and they are all top notch, but my favorite by far is the lasagna. It among the best I’ve ever had! Servers are knowledgeable, friendly, and take great care of you while you’re there. The real wow factor though is the restaurant itself. It is absolutely gorgeous… like something you would expect to see in Paris with the attention to detail in its finishes and decorations. Long story short, this is a Savannah experience worth having.

We had a very good dinner upstairs in the big room. Its a very attractive room, although a little noisy with all the guests. The food was very good and the service was excellent. There were cloth napkins and cloth table covers and all the staff was professional and attentive. You should have reservations. We called the day before, and we got reservations for 8:15pm on a Saturday night. That’s a little late for us, but it worked okay. The menu was full of interesting sounding dishes, combining Italian food with seafood. I chose a stew that had various seafood selections in it: shrimp, mussels, calamari, clams, and linguine noodles. Unfortunately most of the clams had not opened up when cooked. I asked the waitress if that meant that they were bad. She asked the manager and he came by. He said that they were probably just undercooked, and he would serve me more clams if I wanted them. I said yes, and then there was a long wait. Finally additional clams arrived. They were fine. Later I learned that the cost of my entrée had been deducted from the bill. That was nice. Its hard to find parking in this area of town on a busy Saturday night. All in all, it’s a very nice place.

Wonderful French /Northern Italian food restaurant in Savannah. The Crispy Duck was excellent, the Poached Pear Goat salad delicious. The service is friendly and professional. This is a gem I’m Savannah.

Ugh– visited on recent busy Saturday night. It was evening before Valentine’s. The two women working front desk as hostesses were useless, horrible. They did nothing to make you feel welcomed and prepare you for the long wait. They were immature and robotic. Expect a lot more from a restaurant that bills itself as one Savannah’s best — not. After a ridiculous wait, they finally seated us immediately next to the hostess station, just barely inside the restaurant. Copious traffic and people standing over you at this location. I said no thanks They reply to me that, «most guests tell us they don’t want to sit there.» If so, what dumb owner keeps putting guests at that table. One that only cares about throughput and bottom line, certainly not the guest experience. After no apology or assurance from the lame hostess staff about getting another table, we bolted and stepped next door to an equally busy restaurant thats name starts with A. What a difference– a staff that was alive and greeted us with a smile. They squeezed us in and we had one of the best dining experiences in recent memory — food and service. Time to wake up Garibaldis — at least make an effort to show you care and hire a staff that has some professionalism and a pulse. Everything lacking at Garibaldis, we fortunately found at the wonderful restaurant A. a few doors down.

My experience at Garibaldi’s was excellent! My boyfriend and I are from out town and we decided to go here for dinner. We had no problems with reservations. We found the bottom floor a bit too packed so we requested a table in the top floor. We immediately got a table without a problem. We were also served fast! Our waiter was so sweet and attentive. I highly recommend anyone to try the lamb!

I definitely recommend this place. I have lived in Savannah for a year and a half now and pass by it everyday when I get off of work(Juan’s Barbershop). My partner and I were meeting his coworkers for a birthday dinner for one of them. We arrived before everyone so we found a seat at the bar and a had drink while we wait. Bartender greeted us and was very friendly. Then our friends arrived and we made it to our table. Everything in the table was presented nicely and comfortable. Server came and got drink orders and was very knowledgable and professional I had a glass of the house Cabernet and my partner and others had the special drink which was a blueberry ginger margarita in the rocks. Very tasty. Our server then took our orders and spoke about the specials which all sounded amazing. My partner and I ordered the potato and lump crab soup as an appetizer. I had the Mahi with Bacon and Vidalia onion cream sauce served with whipped potatoes and French green beans. My partner ordered the lasagna. Food came out in a timely manner. Not a long wait but we did have 11 people in our party. Everything came out very nicely and plated perfectly. The mahi was AMAZING! The flavor of bacon onion cream sauce and mahi was the best thing I think I have ever had. The lasagna was perfect as well. Very large portions, might I add. Then dessert orders were placed. We shared a almond berry basket(which I have had at belfords and Pink house). This was my favorite so far. The combination of almond berry cinnamon ice cream and chocolate drizzle was astounding. Not to mention the praline basket it all sits in. I highly recommend it for special occasions or a nice dinner every once and a while. Business casual is a good dress for the place. Some were in jeans and a button down, some in suits. Great job guys! I’ll be back for sure!

It was a great fine. In Savannah for the winter, on a recommendation from a local, we tried it. On a Friday with no reservations we showed up. It was crowed, but the staff showed us up to a little service bar up stairs. It was only 4 seats but it was perfect, we felt like we were at the chefs table. The added bonus was we met Jersey John, the bar tender who grew up just a couple of towns away from our home. It was such a pleasure talking with him about South Jersey. Upon his recommendation, my wife had the Grouper special and I had the Veal Parm. The meals were fabulous, tasty and a fantastic presentation. If you looking for a little duck in to, try the up stairs bar.

The service was great: the host greeted us warmly, sat us promptly and our server, Lance was very friendly. I really enjoyed the interior décor: black walls with gold ceilings. My husband and I shared 4 appetizers, an entrée, dessert and a total of 3 drinks. The shrimp risotto cake was the best app but it was extremely heavy and didn’t sit well in our stomachs. We ordered the lobster pasta which was flavorless. Luckily, I’d asked to have olives added, otherwise I would have been even more disappointed. The food was pretty good but not worth the $ 135.

Nice looking place, but basic bland Italian food served up, nothing special. Menu says expect to wait because every dish is made to order, really? Not. Think Olive Garden at best.

My wife and I had a wonderful meal here. My DW had the whole crispy flounder and I had the bone in Veal chop, both were excellent. Our server Olivia was fantastic. When we sat I thought the music choice was odd. Then I realized there were 6 songs playing over and over and over. I heard the following at least 5 times: Have You Never Been Mellow — Olivia Newton John Stray Cat Strut — Stray Cats What’s Going On — Marvin Gay Fooled Around and Fell in Love — Elvin Bishop Suffice it to say if I never hear«Have you Never been Mellow» again it will be too soon. I emailed General Manager, Sean and never heard back. Staff said there was a problem with satellite feed and that these was Sean’s favorites!!! Sean its 2015, maybe get a USB stick, they hold thousands of songs. I only had to endure this for 90 minutes, I feel for your staff. Have You Never Been Mellow, Have You Never Triiiiiiiied…

We were staying in Savannah for our anniversary and wanted to try somewhere local and different. After reading reviews and much discussion, we settled on Garibaldi. We had reservations and arrived a little bit early but they sat us right away. There are dining areas on both the first and second floor. We were led to the second floor to a table by the window which was nice. The dining room was elegantly appointed with large mirrors and chandeliers and wall sconces which made for a wonderful ambience for our anniversary dinner. All the servers were all attentive and polite, even the busboy(Hakeem), was a joy to talk to. We started our meal with a glass of wine and the fried green tomato parmigiana appetizer. The wine selection was good and the fried green tomatoes were also good. The bread was tasty also. I ordered the Chicken Milanese with green beans and mac n cheese. Their mac n cheese was a little different as it was actually shells instead of elbow macaroni but it worked. It was tasty and the chicken Milanese was delicious. My husband ordered the Chicken Picatta with green beans and roasted potatoes. It was also excellent. We found out that this is the«sister» restaurant to The Olde Pink House which we have also eaten at a few times. Even though The Pink House is more well known and is a Savannah institution, I much preferred Garibaldi. I would definitely make a return visit we are in Savannah.

First off let me explain that I’m an actual Italian from NY. This place is almost an insult to Italian food. The place was empty when we got here and they jammed us up against a christmas tree(tree was beautiful) the table was off balance and instead of seating us at another table the jammed corks under the table. They also spilled our drinks. I ordered two dirty martinis straight up. The first one came with no olives, the 2nd one came with olives after I asked but wasn’t dirty and the olives were like salad olives still Monza but tasted like antipasti. This place skates by because the south has low standards. I live here I know!!! My meal, a staple Veal Parm. The Garlic bread was definitely store bought with out a doubt! The veal was the size of three fingers under a massive amount pf breading, the sauce was also of the store bought variety but I’m sure they probably made it. I had to ask for shredded cheese??? And it took like five minutes for him to come close for me to even ask and another five to get it. Oh I forgot to tell you why this is an insult to Italians. They offered us a spaghetti spoon. WTF??? I have never heard this in my life. Twist your fork it’s not like you can compare a fork to chop sticks. Lastly the timid waiter offered us a desert menu. I said only if you have Canolli. He said no. I literally laughed in his face. An Italian restaurant without Canolli?!? Bottom line this place is in business because the south get blinded by the taste of Ragu and Spaghetti-o’s because it is «Italian» and the place is pretty. Do yourself a favor and go to Little Italy in NY or anywhere else in the tri-state area! Savannah to JFK on Jet Blue is $ 59 each way

We had a group of 16 people here for dinner, and I must take off one star because they were unable to sit all of us together at one table even though we made reservations. With that being said they were very accommodating, and tried their hardest to make it work. The ambiance was very nice, the lights a dim so it’s a pleasant dining atmosphere. It would be perfect for a date night or a romantic evening out. The menu is extensive, so there is a lot to choose from, especially if you like sea food. Everyone in our party loved their meal, so I don’t think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. Overall it was a very pleasant dining experience, so I would definitely come back here again!

Dinner will take 90 minutes to 2 hours. They will likely take 30 minutes to take your order. Totally worth it for the chef to make your food. The best Crispy Duck I have ever had — also amazing mushroom. Risotto. The drinks are expensive so drink next door at the Scottish pub at half the price. It is a fine dining experience without feeling snobby. Pick what you like and you won’t be disappointed.

Our favorite spot for a delicious dinner. The risotto was divine and the lamb was cooked to perfection. We enjoyed sitting at the bar and a few house wines. Brett the bartender was sweet fast and funny. Great spot to finish a fun girls weekend in Savannah!

Great Italian meal in the heart of touristy sea food places. Beautiful place with high ornate ceilings which gives it a fancy feel. You can dress up or down here and the wait staff will treat you like the queen of England. They are so well trained in service standards you will feel like royalty. They have a great selection of wine, cocktails, and other drinks. I ordered the seared sea scallops which came with risotto and asparagus. It was perfectly cooked and paired great together, I ate every single bite! The Rosemary bread to start was amazing and you have to be very careful not fill up on it. I also suggest the pear and goat cheese salad to start wow. Wow. Wow. So good!

I had a really great experience at Garibaldi’s. I did find the menu to be a little larger than what i expected when dining with a fine dining establishment. I got the feeling that they were torn between wanting to be an Italian or seafood place. That being said I went with the seafood and was pleased with the decision. Meal started off with Bloody Mary Oysters. These were pretty good, oysters on the half shell with Bloody Mary mix and sliced jalepenos. Blackened Georgia grouper was the main course. Couldn’t have been fresher unless I cooked it on the boat from which it was caught. The waiter was really knowledgable and even recommended a wine that went well with both of the main courses which my dining companion and I were enjoying. You certainly need to try the place if ever in Savannah, GA as I certainly will when I return.
