The building is beautiful, inside and out… But I felt like the dinner plates were greasy and it didnt feel sanitary… Read the reviews before going but decided to be open minded. Front desk Indian girls weren’t very warm and welcoming when they said«it’s like an hour wait» almost like they didn’t want our business… Anyways… Waited only twenty minutes so that was nice, sat down and the server was super sweet and seemed like he was trying hard. Our cook though… Not very warm, he didn’t «preform» like we had hoped… Very closed off… Not what you’d expect from a hibachi restaurant… We expected the food to be extraordinary(based on prior reviews) but honestly it wasn’t anything to brag about. The rice was so plain! No eggs, no veggies in the rice, just white rice and some brown sauce… I was super disappointed :(my guy had two rolls of sushi and he wasn’t very impressed but scarfed it down. Give this place a try… But don’t be disappointed if you’ve had better hibachi before.

I’d give 0 stars if I could, had reservations for 5:00. Kept checking on progress and kept being told«you are next» 6 sets of 4 – 6 people were called back after being told we were next. 40 min. later, still not seated. We left, will never be back.

Excellent service & food. We went with a hungry family of 5. They food was top notch. But more amazing was the attentive chef and wait staff. They were quick, thorough, and put on a great show! This was definitely one of the best hibachi experiences I’ve ever had! Highly recommend!

Was a little concerned when I read some of the negative reviews. But went with family for a Birthday outing. Food was great and Chef Honda was awesome. Did go early, no wait, seating within 10 minutes of arrival. Will definitely be back

I honestly wouldn’t even give this restaurant a one star. When you walk in it is nice and inviting, but when you go back to the Hibachi grill it is gross. The plates we had were not washed and still had white sauce on them from the time before. The cups we had were not washed either. The food was cooked so quickly that it was barely done. The food was disgusting and I would never go back. I ordered Hibachi Shrimp Dinner and the shrimp were not even deveined. The shrimp had no flavor as well as the rice. The white sauce tasted just like straight mayonnaise. The staff was nice but overall terrible experience here.

Worst experience ever at any restaurant I have every eaten ate. Manager(Qui) very rude. We had a party of eight and we found dirty dishes, forks and sauce cups. I have eaten at other locations, but this was worst. Will not be back.

The only reason why we keep coming to this restaurant is bc of my kids. They love the whole show and«white sauce». Of course everything tastes better with mayo! First of all if you don’t have reservations don’t ever just try to walk in or you will wait forever. Next they give u way too much rice. Most of it is getting wasted which is such a shame. Who would eat all this rice??? It is so not healthy! Meat is pretty good hot off the stove.

Whenever I think of having hibachi for dinner, I usually plan for a night at Miyabi, and this past Tuesday night was no exception. I used to work at the location in Augusta, GA for several years, so I know the ins and outs of how this place works. The hibachi food was delicious and plentiful, and the chef was very entertaining. I’m giving the Savannah location 3 stars because of their lack of sushi chefs. As a result, they have a beautiful sushi bar area that is not utilized and a sushi menu that can’t be prepared. This was a problem the last time I dined at this location in December. I don’t know who is actually making the sushi, but it wasn’t good at all. So, this is a great spot to come for an abundance of traditional hibachi food, but for sushi, I’ll go elsewhere until they can employ a few sushi chefs.

Food here is always pretty good. We had a party of 7 last night and they accommodated us easily. I had my usual steak, lobster and shrimp and it was good as always. The only bad part of last night was the salad. I remember the ginger dressing being thicker and not so watery. Also the lettuce was a little old for my taste. The service and chef were great so overall i am happy.

Just had a great dinner here. I went with a large group of friends and we were seated very quickly. The chef and server(I think it was Joe and Brandon) were very nice and super friendly, cracking jokes with us and being on top of all our special requests. The food was very good(my husband and I got the shrimp and steak dinners). You get a lot of food for the price(dinner comes with soup, salad, mixed grilled veggies, rice, and a small sherbert dessert). We had a young child with us who was a little spooked by the grill show(the fire) but our chef and server were great with her. Overall, it was a great atmosphere and great food. The price can be a bit high so I recommend going for the early dinner(before 6) for the special price.

Literally the worst service I have ever had, from start to finish. The hostess was rude and scowling. The server told my fiancé(the birthday boy) that he need to stop drinking so much. On his SECOND beer. And repeatedly bothered him with comments like: «You should drink some water.» «I hope you’re not driving.» and«I’ve never seen anyone drink this much in my life.» He had three beers and did not drive. It was a Tuesday night and we were out with our friends and their children. It was embarrassing, rude, out of line, and extremely uncalled for! Not to mention that we requested and paid for a birthday song that I reminded the server three times to not forget. It never happened. The only thing redeeming was Biggie, the grill cook. He was great. When we complained after the meal, the manager simply did not care. I know everyone loves hibachi but I’d be surprised if this place survives that poor a customer service ethic.

Went to Miyabi expecting a wait. Boy did we get one. My wife and I were told 20 minutes for a table and waited for an hour. Went up several times after the 30 minute mark passed and was told«you’re next, just a few more minutes». At the hour mark I asked again how much longer and was told about another 20 minutes. Seriously??? The host actually said to me «people that are seated just won’t get up». I worked as a restaurant manager for 8 years and that is the last thing you tell an irate customer who is now leaving your restaurant. I am currently writing this review while in Tangerine Sushi Bar down the street, which we waited 5 minutes for a table and the restaurant is still packed. You just lost a customer for life Miyabi.

This place has good sushi, it’s very fresh and well prepared. The entrees are traditional and the reason I go back here vs other similar places is the white sauce is right. Many places make their shrimp/white sauce sweet but Miyabi’s has the right mix. All of the employees are very nice and it’s kid friendly. Food doesn’t take very long and the portions are large for a reasonable price.

The food is delicious, yes, but it is so so expensive, which is appropriate for date night but not just a night out with the family, but you do get tons of food for what you pay for. It is a basic Hibachi grill where they cook in front of you. Also, this place is usually super busy so expect a wait time.

Great experience! The staff was friendly and very accommodating, even thinking to bring out ice with the hot soup for my son. The chef was personable, entertaining and the food was great. Had to wait about 25 min to get a table, but that’s okay since the waiting area was gorgeous. Great date night, friends night out, birthday celebration or whatever the occasion! Pretty well priced as well.

While visiting Savannah, Miyabi’s was literally next door to our hotel so we walked over a little bit after 5pm for dinner on a Friday night. It is probably best to arrive early if you don’t have a reservation(which we didn’t), because by the time we were finished which was around 6:30pm, the place was already packed. When we arrived, the hostess informed us that there is a 15 minute wait. We probably waited for about 10 minutes and then we were called with another party and the hostess showed us to our table. It is a hibachi style table so you will sit with other strangers. Fortunately the people we sat with were normal and even the kids were well-behaved. It is your usual Japanese hibachi steakhouse… they bring you onion soup, salad and then the cook arrives and starts doing his little tricks with his cooking utensils. I ended up ordering the steak and shrimp combo. It was delicious however the fried rice was disappointing. They do give you a butt load of fried rice though! Holy cow, it must be a pound of rice per person, no joke! Our cook literally shaped the rice in a 2-inch thick rectangular block, divided up the portions and slapped each square mound on our plates. So, the reason why the fried rice was a fail is because they do NOT add all the usual ingredients in fried rice. There was no egg, chicken, veggies or sesame seeds! WHAT??? The cook just added oil, salt, lots of butter and soy sauce. Eww! That’s not fried rice! But I will admit that it actually tasted better the day after when I had leftovers. Maybe it’s because it hardened a bit while in the fridge and it wasn’t as oily or salty. I don’t know. And the sushi was crap. Sorry, but I have had better sushi. We ordered the crunchy California roll and a roll 16. Both were deep fried rolls and they just didn’t have any flavor. Boo… felt like I was eating rubber. Everything else was good. Our server was on top of everything and our cook was a little cheesy. I may or may not check out another Miyabi’s again. I had tried going to the one in Augusta but they told me there was a 3 hour wait! I’d rather go to Toki for some good Japanese food.

We ate here last Friday night. The place was packed and we had to wait 45 mins. We sat at the bar and had a drink until we were called to a table. We sat with a nice family of five and another couple. Service was excellent and the food was amazing. We enjoyed the showmanship of the cook and he was very funny. Would dine here again.

Love this place! You should make reservations and may still have a wait! But the chefs our awesome! I would ask for Shawn, he’s great and loads of fun. You will have a great time! Tell Shawn that David and Matt from the blooming idiot florist sent you!

this place was good. You do get a lot of food and it is pretty much like your standard Hibachi grill. They didn’t take too long to seat us– even though we had reservations so we shouldn’t have waited at all. The only thing that could improve was the attentiveness of the servers, took forever to get a new drink each time!

My boys and I visited Miyabi for the first time based on the recommendation of a local. We were seated almost immediately and were treated very well. One of the ladies even took a photo of us by the front door. We enjoyed ourselves and the food was delicious. Will definitely eat there again when we return and we will be returning :)
