They have… THEBESTRIBS I have EVER had in my entire life! My coworker introduced me to this place and, no other place around can compare to their food. Very decently priced. VERY decent portions! The mustard BBQ sauce, as I describe it, it so good that once the ribs are gone you just wanna slop of the rest of the sauce with the bread they give you and make a sauce sandwich. I’ll even sit after and just lick the sauce of my fingers. It’s that flippin’ good!!! You will NOT be disappointed by these ribs! Go now! Go early! Oh my gosh, I’m getting hungry just thinking about it… If Heaven exists and has a buffet… these ribs will be listed #1 on the menu!!!

Holy damn these ribs are awesome! I got the combo and I messed up. A boat load of ribs and two chicken legs! I couldn’t finish it all. We love barbecue and this can’t be missed. Come early or they will run out.

Best ribs in Savannah! I’m new to the area but, as a self proclaimed BBQ connoisseur, I have tried several BBQ plates around the city. I found out about the heavenly sauce and melt in your mouth ribs from Randy’s BBQ when a coworker brought them to a pot luck. First of all I barely got any because everyone in the office was standing by, ready to pounce as soon as the foil was pulled back. Luckily I was able to push my way to the table and salvage three ribs for myself. The aroma alone made my mouth water like I was one of Pavlov’s dogs. Once I tasted the delicious mustard based sauce I was sold! After that, nothing else on my plate mattered, I did my best to ensure every bite of food somehow had Randy’s BBQ sauce somewhere on it! So…what I’m trying to say is, if you haven’t had Randy’s BBQ ribs you haven’t had BBQ ribs!!! Get there and get there early! You don’t want to go another day without experiencing his culinary perfection!

I just got a Unilocal account just so I could praise Randy’s bbq. My husband and I are a competition bbq team so trying bbq is part of every road trip. Although they would never please the professional judges palate, we still talk about Randy’s ribs being the best ever, bar none. A tour guide took us off the route and way past the safe part of town, pulled over in the highway median and waited while my husband ran across the traffic. At the time, Randy’s was just a couple of small smokers in front of a closed down gas station. From the pictures, it looks like they’ve upgraded! Best ribs ever!

If you are from Savannah, you already know about Randy’s ribs. Its the only time that I don’t mind standing in a long line, in the hot sun, waiting on my food. The ribs are the best. The sauce is what gets you hooked. If you are going during peak lunch time, you better get there early because it definitely going to be a line.

Get the chicken. That’s all I need to say– show up early but some chicken legs and eat them. They’re 1.00 a piece and should be 5.00 This guy is great, his staff, his followers… Love it

I was loading up a storage unit close by and can smell the smoke. Of course I had to find the source. It was 10 am and there was a line. I came back around noon with my wife and daughter still a line but well worth it. They didn’t have soda not sure if they ran out or no longer served it. We took our food back to our rv and ate so soda wasn’t a concern . The sauce had a mustard taste to it which was a first for me and it was great . I tried Angels bbq and did not like it so I was glad to find a good BBQ joint . There’s no seating indoor or outdoor . I will be going here every time I visit Savannah and since my daughter just finished her freshman year at SCAD I have at least 6 more trips to go

Don’t let the looks of this place fool you. It’s a tiny little place in the«not so good» part of town but the ribs are excellent. Definitely give them a try. Try to go earlier to avoid lunch rush around 12pm. But don’t go too late because once they’re out, they’re out.

Do NOT be intimidated by the exterior of this place. When I first came here I was afraid to go near it but the good reviews made me question, «could I be missing out on life?» The answer was yes, this place is so friendly. I recommend coming early before 3PM because the food RUNSOUT really quick. The ribs are so tender and flavorful. The bbq sauce is sweet and so damn good. I’ve been to several other bbq places all expensive and taste like sour vinegar… At this place you can get lots of bbq ribs for $ 8 – 10 and you still wont be able to finish it. I don’t know, how anyone could give this place such a bad review. They should be smack in the face with Randy’s bar bq. Now I know, why there is a line everyday, people love this bbq. you won’t find any other bbq ribs that taste like heaven.

On a rather LONG road trip from New York to Miami, I was craving something amazing to eat. My mom wanted to stop in Savannah to look at some colleges for my brother. Naturally I looked up good ol’ fashion BBQ on Unilocal and came across this gem. As 4 white jews came out of the worlds smallest car, we walked up to the smallest little joint I had ever seen. It is a small little building that already had a line outside(the building is the kitchen and you order outside). The menu is really simple, Ribs or Chicken(or both), and you cannot beat the prices. 4 people shared 2 larges and it came out to 20 bucks. THETASTEWASIMPECCABLE, I am not a BBQ girl by any means, but let me tell you if I had to eat only BBQ for the rest of my life, it would be from here. A mustard based sauce with brilliantly charred ribs that were large and falling off the bone, we got there at only 1pm and they had already run out of chicken. With a long line and the fact they ran out of chicken before 1pm told me that this place was gonna be good. If you are craving some classic BBQ and are in the area, stop here! Your tummy will thank you. You can get a small for 5 bucks or the big mama for 10!

Can’t beat the price, convenience, and food at Randy’s. I always get the $ 5 chicken meal. The sauce is by far the best I have ever had. I recommend this place to everyone new in town. Also, the service is great with friendly people working but go early because there will be a line. I suggest getting there about 11:30am to beat everyone for lunch. Highly recommend.

Best ribs I had in Savannah. Wife and I shared a $ 10 large order for lunch and had leftovers. Beautiful smoke ring, quality meat, at a great price. Highly recommend!

I checked out Randy’s from referrals of co-workers who preferred this place to Trick’s BBQ. I like Trick’s so I had to check it out. Randy’s certainly gives you A LOT for your money. I got their $ 8 plate(medium) which was quite heavy and filled with ribs and two pieces of bread. I didn’t count the ribs, but I ate about three or four, became overly full, and have a bunch left over. My husband got the $ 10 plate and he is a beast when it comes to food and he didn’t even eat all of his! Definitely more food than Trick’s for the same price if not less. The sauce is similar – sweet mustard base. Randy’s is a bit tangier than Trick’s, which is on the sweeter side. I was pleased to see they have deviled crab as a side and I grabbed one of those as well, it was tasty. I would go back when I’m super hungry, dying for some REAL ribs, and don’t mind the 10 – 15 minute wait in line(go early to avoid).

Come early before they out I don’t even eat mustard, I hate it but the sauce is sooo good. Stop by this place to get your food early even if you are not hungry… you can always save it for later right. I always visit around 11. $ 5 rib plate(no tax included) $ 33 piece chicken $ 10 combo ribs/chicken… many more I always get extra sauce. The food is so much and grilled on point that you won’t be able to eat all of it. FYI. When you see cars lined up the street you will know that you are in the right direction.

Ever been such a food snob that if it doesn’t immediately taste EXACTLY the way you expected… you deem it unworthy? That is my typical reaction to BBQ. As Antoine Ego said in Ratatouille: «I don’t like food I LOVE it, and if I don’t love it… I don’t swallow.» I have criticized BBQ joints across this great country for years because my opinion of BBQ is steadfast and true to the cause. Don’t ruin a delicious pig, and you won’t have to hear my mouth. A mouth which makes a determination of how good your BBQ is with the first bite. But every now and then the first bite(as well as the first look) can be incredibly incorrect. THESCENE I happened to be eating at another restaurant and having a great conversation with the locals when the subject of BBQ came up. Out of 7 people in the restaurant, EVERYONE of them singled out Randy’s as the best in the city. Maybe it was because of it’s close proximity to our current dining location. No matter, it was enough to spark my interest. So after enjoying the best Oxtails of my life at Sister’s, I decided to drive over an get a to-go order of these so-called best ribs in the city. THEEXPERIENCE Located just across from the Department of Children and Family Services, this little blue shack had an impressive line of hungry customers. Being me, I didn’t hesitate to jump in and ask the group«what’s all the hub-bub about this place?» The reaction was the same as back in the restaurant where this conversation started. People love his place! Some mentioned they were surprised there was any food still available(particularly chicken) considering it was almost 1pm. ***TIP — Evidently this is a restaurant that cooks and serves only a certain amount of food. Once it’s out, it’s out! I was told by several customers by 3pm it’s slim pickings. I was waiting my turn in front of the pick-up window when the side door opened and out popped a fellow who pointed and asked what am I having. Dang it!!! I hadn’t even looked carefully at the menu when this dude ambushed me by surprise. Without hesitation I said ribs, which he proceeded to explain come in small, medium and large. Not wanting to look like a tourist and ask too many questions, I asked for large. THEFOOD Randy’s uses a Carolina style mustard based sauce, something that took me by surprise when I opened my styrofoam container. Another thing that surprised me were no sides(not even slaw) and the thin way they cut the ribs into individual pieces. Immediately my opinion began to formulate and I fully anticipated disliking this BBQ. Sure enough, my mind took over and the first bite was not to my liking. The meat was dryer & tougher than I like, the orange glowing sauce looked sort of disgusting and the thin sliced ribs were just freakin’ weird! Since I was already full, I just decided to save them for later and microwaved them that evening at the hotel for dinner. THEVERDICT To my surprise, after microwaving them using 40% power so as not to recook them, these turned out to be some of the best ribs I’ve ever had. Maybe I was just too full to appreciate the first bite or maybe I let the off-putting look of the sauce cloud my taste. Either way, the flavor of the ribs were sooooo tasty and the sauce only proved to compliment the flavor. Slightly tougher than I prefer, but still well within the boundaries of great BBQ. Here’s to new experiences! Unilocal100[93]

BESTRIBSEVER!!! If it weren’t for Unilocal,I would have never visited Randy’s. Thank you, Unilocal!Randy’s isn’t in the best part of town, but its safe enough to stand in line a few minutes while you wait on food. They men have a pretty efficient system going and run through the orders quickly. The menu is small– Ribs, Chicken, crab cakes and a few sides. My other half usually orders the $ 10 rib box which is enough for us to split and get full(its 10 ribs total). The sauce they use is nothing extraordinary by itself but combined with the ribs the sauce is AMAZING! I would eat these ribs every day.

This place is kind of a anti-tourist trap. What I mean by that is that it is as ‘no frills’ as it comes(not in a tourist attracting way), it keeps abnormal hours, and it is in a fairly ‘economically depressed’ section of town(I believe the child services building is across the street). In other words, you aren’t going to just happen upon this place… You’ve gotta be brave and go find it. It’s really more of a barbeque stand than restaurant. The smokers and grills are right in front of you. The menu varies. It’s cash only. What I like most about this place is that it tastes like ribs and chicken from a family barbeque(ie homemade in a good way). If you’re hungry for barbeque and wanna see the Savannah that’s not on the postcards, this may be your spot.
