I cannot say how much I adore this restaurant. They have a new chef that has introduced some southern Indian cuisine and it’s so delicious; I love the dosas. It’s a place we always go when we need a special treat.

Extremely slow service. Waited over 30 minutes before waiter took my order with only 3 tables at that time

This place is excellent. Never judge a restaurant by its Buffet. This place has outstanding cuisine, excellent service people, and an extensive menu. I have eaten here for dinner over 12 times. The waiters know us and give outstanding service. Don’t miss the sizzling chicken tika, butter chicken, lamb sage walk or the Masada naan.

We’ve been coming here for years. Food has always been good. This last time was even better. I talked to the manager to let him know how good the food was and he told me they have a new chef. Wow he is amazing. Service is on point. Can’t wait to go back. Get the bread basket!

We took a 30 minute detour on our way back to New York City from Florida. Totally worth it. The staff was friendly and most importantly the food was great. I’d come here again.

This is hands down the best Indian restaurant! I lived in Savannah years ago and this was my fav place to eat in town. Since then, I moved to LA where I have not found any Indian restaurant that matches. I highly recommend the chicken tikka masala, and the veggie somosas. Classics that this place does really really well!

I can’t live without Indian food. I believe eating Indian food can advance your taste buds because so many exotic ingredients involved. This place has improved since the last time I’ve been in it. Hopefully, the owner has listened to what most costumers been complaining. I’m kind of shocked that I ran into him, which is a good thing because most owners let their business run down in smoke. He happens to care about the food quality, service, and customers. The korma vegetable is my favorite, the vegetables are thoroughly cooked. The fish curry was also good today. They also added dessert to their buffet, which is another bonus and it tasted AMAZING. The one thing that holds me back from giving it a 5 star is the pahadi chicken, it was charred. I had to dig through the charred chicken, to find one that wasn’t burn’t, other than that my experience was great.

I have tried all the 3 Indian restaurants in the vicinity and I must say this is the best one ! The ambiance is nice and the food tastes great. They have a decent buffet at lunch time also. If you are looking for authentic Indian food, this is the place to go !

Simply an outstanding experience. I was slightly concerned when I saw the restaurant was located in what looked like an office building, but when we walked through the door we were greeted by amazing aromas and a very richly decorated décor. The meals were amazing and served quickly and piping hot. Service was excellent. Prompt, friendly and very helpful. If I lived in Savannah, this restaurant would be a regular stop! Thank you!

Too much tomato sauce in curry. Both curry and biryani were nearly free from any indian flavor. Naan had a strong fake butter taste. Would not recommend chicken curry, vegetable biryani or naan.

We loved the food but thee service was really terrible. I went with a friend and it was about an hour before closing. People were cleaning up and someone actually started to vacuum the floor! We got the food and it was great but we were given the check soon after and then we were asked many times over the next 5 minutes if it was ready. While we got our cards out we were given to-go containers. We were absolutely bum-rushed out the door!!! what the hell???

We have been coming to or getting take out from here for years! I love Indian food! The Tiki Masala is divine here, as is everything we have ever tried. The Tandori mix is super flavorful! They have never gotten our order wrong in all those years. I wanted Indian food for Mother’s Day last year so we went here. They had an impressive buffet that allowed us to branch out and try new dishes, as well as our favorites!

I noticed immediately that the taste of the food was different! Come to find out they changed the whole staff and I mean the whole staff. It was very very delicious. If you haven’t been there in a while you should visit or revisit you will be pleasantly surprised!

I love, love Taste of India. I’ve been so many times that I can’t remember the first time I ever went but I’ve never had a bad experience to date. I go a lot with family usually for dinner and the service is always amazing! The inside is really nice with great décor. I’ve even met the owner a few times and he’s a really nice guy. Anytime I get Indian food now I have to compare it to Taste of India. My go-to favorite is Chicken Tikka Marsala with a side of Naan bread. Mmmm wonderful!

I live in the Low Country of South Carolina. I have to drive about 30 minutes to get to an Indian/Pakistani restaurant. Taste of India is worth the drive. I only eat dinner here, since I cannot show up during lunch time, so I have never had the buffet. I usually wind up ordering about $ 80 worth of food for me. Some of the order is for dining in and the other part is for take out, so I don’t have to drive to an Indian Restaurant three or four times week. By far, Taste of India has the best Tandoori chicken dish out of the three Indian Restaurants I go to. The other two restaurants are Naan Appetit and Pakwan. Most of the time, at Indian restaurants, the chicken is too dry. Theirs is moist and that is the way it should be. I don’t have to drink after every bite to wash down my food. As far as the other dishes I have ordered, their Chicken Tikka Masala is very good, naan is average and their Chicken Vindaloo is quite delicious. The reason I say the naan is average is, every once in a while, it is too thin. The reason I took off one star is for the fact the service is inconsistent. It all depends on your server. Some of very good and some are… not good. It doesn’t ruin the experience, because I care about the food, first and foremost. That, to me, is the most important thing.

We used Taste of India for our wedding reception in Savannah. Working with Sandy and Raj was a pleasure — they were able to put together the perfect menu and were always approachable. On the day of the event, everything was perfect! Our guests LOVED the food and we got so many compliments — given that half of our guests are Indian, it was wonderful to hear how much they loved the food. It was truly delicious and the service was perfect. I am craving the delicious masala chai, butter chicken and mango lassi til now!!! If you have not already been, TOI is worth checking out. We can’t wait to go back to Savannah and eat there!

FANTASTIC! Our family of four has been to this restaurant countless times and is never disappointed. FOOD: delicious! Very fresh, well seasoned, and tasty. We love to get the garlic non bread, Chicken Ticca, chicken Ticca masala. Amazing! SERVICE: Spectacular! Always seated immediately, all waiters are very attentive and nice. SETTING: Very authentic. You literally feel like you are in actual India. Comfortable chairs, lively Indian music, And gorgeous décor.

Horrible. We arrived half an hour before they closed the buffet and were greeted with — The buffet is closing in half an hour. It was basically empty too, and everyone had to scrape the serving dishes. They said they would refill them, but they didn’t. Food was unmemorable and service made it worse.

I have been eating at Taste of India for three years now and the restaurant has completely gone downhill. The service is terrible. The buffet is lacking — to put it mildly. They are incredibly stingy with their meats– lots of sauce, no chicken or lamb chunks in sight. Today’s buffet had fried tater-tots on it. I’m not making that up. Fried pre-frozen tater-tots. Really???(see attached photo) Last time they had tilapia tikka masala that was so fishy I couldn’t eat it. I went back to give them another chance and I was even more disappointed. The naan was so stale I could not bite through it. When I asked if they had any fresh naan the waiter told me it was fresh and walked away. I know, we live in Savannah GA and there isn’t a large Indian population so I don’t expect perfection … but today was the last straw. The food simply isn’t good and I refuse to eat there just because it is ONE of TWO Indian restaurants in town. Their takeout portions are super tiny. You get maybe one measured cup of rice per entrée. If you order a Dal, they don’t give you rice with it for take out orders. Again, lots of sauce, no meat. All in all, this place is such a big disappointment. I won’t be going back– for the buffet OR the takeout. Total waste of money.

I’m a big fan of Indian food and the food here is delicious. Everything was exquisitely prepared, especially my chicken tikka masala. I ordered mine spicy and couldn’t have been happier, even if it made my nose run a little! One of my friends ordered the mild version and ended up wanting it spicier. Our server was very accommodating and brought out a bowl of spices so that he could get it hotter. The spacing for the restaurant is very cozy and not too brightly lit at night, which creates a nice atmosphere. Hopefully I’ll get a chance to try the buffet at some point! I’ll definitely be back to eat here.
