I came here brunch on a Saturday, the place was packed but we were seated in less than 10 minutes. Bottomless mimosas for $ 10, the first one they give is strong but then after the alcohol content decreases, my second one tasted like plain orange juice. But I informed our server and he made it a little stronger. This was a little disappointing, but that’s what you get for $ 10. For entrée, I got the Ordinary Burger, it was delicious and full of flavor. It comes with pickle and pickled vegetables on the side. My favorite was the donut sliders, simply delicious. I loved the combination of sweet and savory. Definitely recommend the sliders as well as this place for brunch.

February 15, 2016 Monday — 6PM for dinner 1 adult and a kid Atmosphere — 5 stars Food — 4 stars Service — 4 stars Background — My daughter wanted to eat downtown. I looked for something near Leopold’s as I was taking her there for dessert. Atmosphere — Careful not to walk pass the place as it is just a doorway to the stairs that take you to the basement. Rustic, Steam punkish, kinda hard to describe the place. Food Drinks — They have some great beers on tap, I ended up with my second choice. The Liquid Bliss from Terrapin was smooth, but my initial choice was Foothills Jade IPA which was out. My Main Course — I had the brisket tacos. I got a three sided hard shell taco, how did they manage it and not correct it before it came out. I had that taco first and did not realize how much taco meat I lost compared to the other taco. Little hard to complain about it after the fact. Meat was good but I did not get the mustard taste. Service –Nothing exciting but got the job done. Future — Yeah my daughter loved her food, I want to try that Bacon Pesto Burger.

Long wait(1 hour from time we sat at table until served) and cold food. Good Bloody Mary. Overall, can’t recommend.

Cold food that we waited 1 hour for. Would have been tasty had the meal been hot. House made bloody mix is solid. Grab one of those to go and eat somewhere else.

Fantastic value and brews. My wife and I didn’t plan ahead for Valentines Day, and got rejected from every restaurant we went to. We stumbled upon The Ordinary Pub and we’re thankful to have them take us in! They have a solid beer selection on tap(I got the Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale) and super affordable, yet delicious, entrees for $ 16 and under; we got the salmon and flank steak, and ordered the fried green tomatoes caprese salad. And then they gave us two complimentary glasses of champagne! My only recommendation is that you order your app first and then order your entrée after your app arrives because our entrees came out too quickly.

My wife and I arrived in Savannah around lunch time and we searched Unilocal and found The Ordianry Pub was not too far away so we stopped in. We are glad we did! It is a very cool basement space in an old building. Their beer selection was decent and their food was outstanding! I enjoyed the crab cake sandwich and my wife had the fried green tomatos cabrese. We keep stealing bites off each other’s plate. I would say The Ordinary Pub should be on your list of, «must try while in Savannah.»

Look… ignore the ridiculous reviews from so-called«foodies». Come here… order the shrimp & grits and Mac & cheese and have a drink. Tasty food, good drinks, and live music. Chef is a cool guy, came out and talked to us about his menu. You won’t be disappointed.

So, I think the restaurant has great potential, but is still working out the kinks(running out of menu items, hit or miss wait staff, etc.) I really hope that they pull it together, cause I’ve had great food hear and just so so food. Consistency is important, here’s hoping it get’s there.

This was a great disappointment. I wanted to take my fiancée out for a nice dinner and wanted to try a new place so I researched some of the restaurant week participants. Their menu sounded delectable and the reviews backed them so I decided to give them a shot. Upon my arrival it seemed pretty empty, so I was skeptical but gave them the benefit of the doubt since it was a Monday night. We were seated right away by the friendly waiter and were given excellent service while ordering drinks(which were good). We ordered our $ 30 restaurant week meals, which consisted of an appetizer, main course and dessert. I got the chicken sticks which turned out to be two extremely dry buffalo wings. My fiancée got the fried green tomatoes which were hard and underripe. My main course was a very dry(«rare»), poorly seasoned T-bone steak paired with undercooked risotto and shaved carrots. My other half got the mac ‘n’ cheese which was good in comparison but not great. The desserts were sub par. I would not recommend this place.

This place is great! I’m specifically talking about their happy hour, which I took advantage of by having 2-for-1 whiskey and half off pub bites. The fried green tomato caprese and pork belly sliders were killer. The buns on the sliders weren’t very warm, but all other components were so it wasn’t a big deal. I met and talked to some locals as well as some tourists of the cool variety… it’s in an inviting basement, everything is straight-forward, affordable, not pretentious, with warm service. Broughton street needed this place! Update: I came back with a vegan friend and they bent over backwards to make their amazing fried green tomato caprese vegan! And I had the shrimp and grits, which was TODIEFOR. The service here is stellar and the food is always amazing.

We arrived at 1245 on a windy and chilly 34 °F degree day. The location felt warm and cozy. We quickly got our table. Our waitress was awesome and friendly. We ordered the tomato soup and grilled cheese, Mac and cheese, and of course the bottomless mimosas. The mimosas came out quickly and so did the food. The food was delicious and affordable. Food, drinks and service was superb! Definitely will be coming back! #thebrunchlife

This is an amazing place for a high quality and unique burger for a great price! My wife had the mushroom burger and I had the«ordinary burger» — both were amazing. The half pound burgers were made of 50⁄50 beef /pork! Wow… They both had bacon weaved into a top layer and it was extremely good bacon. I would have paid $ 15 for this $ 10 burger! And the beer selection was great as well.

I had this place bookmarked for awhile and had been meaning to stop by. Well as things would have it after my original destination had a 30 plus minute wait this became an option. There was no wait maybe because it was freezing and raining but who cares. A word of advice don’t sit by the stairs if its cold & raining, we were greeted warmly and taken to a table. Our waitress was super nice and explained their menu and even put up with my tea drinking friend who complained about the tea not being sweet enough. Our food arrived fairly quick and was good. On Saturdays they sell brunch and that menu is different from their normal lunch menu so just be aware of this. I’d like to come back & try some of the items on that menu so that means I’ll be back. Good food, nice service, and reasonable prices not bad.

Very cool underground bar/restaurant. Small and not loud. We tried the shrimp and grits appetizer, the Mac and cheese with the shrimp, and the steak, and all were very delicious, lots of flavors. We will definitely return when we’re back in Savannah!

Okay — what is going on here? Seemingly great reviews but not crowded at all. Are the reviews being pushed in trying to create a buzz to get people to go or are they real? Well, I decided that instead of going to an old favorite before heading out of Savanah the next day to see for myself. Yes, the place at 8:00PM was indeed relatively empty. The menu in front of me was a little different from the web site. Then three of the beers on the draft list were not available. Yet, all of these turned out to be extremely minor issues. The bottom line is the service was great. The food was awesome and the drink still had loads of choice. For me I had the Bacon Pesto Burger described on the web site as 50⁄50 blend beef and pork, woven bacon, fried green tomato, buffalo mozzarella, basil pesto, and arugula on brioche. Served with sweets and beets. I was looking forward to the«sweets and beets» but they were replaced with spicy chips. Overall a nice combination — the burger worked really well and was cooked to perfection and the chips were spicy but did not overwhelm. I started with a tomato basil soup that was unusually thick(in a good way) and the combination was really almost too much but I was glad to have made the extra stomach stretch to try both. On the beer side I wish they did flights — there is enough on the draft menu to make this happen — but with two choice selections for dinner it made for a wonderful last night in Savannah for this trip. Bottom line — go here. Make it crowded. Keep it in business. Everyone will be happy.

Great lunch spot with some local influenced pub fare. Braised pork sliders, shrimp and grits, delicious crispy fresh salads. Average lunch will cost you around $ 10(+$ 3 for a big side house salad). Very tasty craft cocktails, really liked the blueberry Arnold Palmer and the Cucumber Fauxijto.

Very cool underground bar/restaurant. Small and not loud– it’s a Friday night and people are able to talk and enjoy some drinks. The décor gives off a cool underground vibe. Bartender was attentive. Menu is a one pager so options are somewhat limited, but food is good. We had the bacon pesto burger and the Mac and cheese. Mac and cheese is delicious(and I’m not one who typically likes Mac n cheese). If you’re not in the mood for alcoholic drinks, try the non alcoholic mixed drinks which are on the lunch menu only. They’re deliciously refreshing! The dinner menu doesn’t display the non alcoholic mixed drinks.

I love this little place and their awesome vibe. A friend and I ate here for lunch, and our server was amazing. We were the first customers of the day, and even with the place all to ourselves, we didn’t feel awkward at all. The décor is so artsy, and it almost reminds me of your cool friend’s basement apartment. The lights hanging all around are gorgeous, and they create a nice ambiance – especially if you’re trying to wine and dine someone. I had the salmon gastro plate and it was beyond amazing. Not overcooked at all. It was the perfect meal to start off my day. All in all, this will be a favorite haunt of mine. I love the food, the service, and the space.
