My boyfriend and I go bowling at sayville lanes every Tuesday so we decided to grab some food here before we went in. We hadn’t been to a Ruby Tuesday’s in ages so we didn’t really have expectations walking in. Service was prompt for us but not for others. I saw a couple waiting to be seated when the hostess was no where to be found. Décor could use a huge facelift. Carpet in a restaurant really throws me off. Makes me feel like I’m in the 90’s in a skeevy restaurant. We both ordered a bacon cheese burger and added on the salad bar. I felt the menu was super boring when it came to burgers. They all had the same ingredients just a different grade of meat. Waitress told me they only had three different cheeses — cheddar American and Swiss. BORING. When the burgers arrived and I picked it up, it basically poured out grease. I literally only ate half of it because it made my stomach hurt. Fries were like fast food fries. I was excited for the salad bar but felt pretty unsatisfied when I got up there. The only meat option was little cubes of ham. The lettuce looked a little wilted and I didn’t feel there was much of a variety of ingredients. It was all basic Cobb salad ingredients. My boyfriend was disappointed that the only croutons were pumpernickel, but I liked them. Overall, wouldn’t go back. Rather have Applebee’s or one of those chains.

Took my daughter and her friend to the Emporium in Patchogue for a concert. My wife, other daughter and myself went to Ruby Tuesday for dinner. We were seated immediately even though they seemed pretty busy. The restaurant was a typical Ruby Tuesday, quite large though. Our waitress was very friendly and it was just her second day on the job. She made only one mistake but her polite personality made up for it. She was very personable and down to earth, just a regular person. My wife and I had soup and salad. Their salad bar is very good, lots to choose from. My wife had the broccoli and cheddar soup and I had the chicken tortilla. My wife’s was very good but I was very impressed with mine. Both were nice portions, mine came with tortilla chips to dip in the soup and the soup was spicy, which I liked. It was definitely different and good. My daughter had the bacon cheeseburger with fries. It was also very good. All the food came out hot and tasty. We were not rushed and our waitress came by several times to see if everything was ok. She even asked us if we wanted desert. When the bill came we told her we had a coupon and took it and agreed that coupons are great because eating out can get expensive. Another good experience at Ruby Tuesday’s. I would return if I happen to be in the area again.

I have mixed reviews about my dining experience at Ruby Tuesdays of Sayville. For starters when my wife and I walked in we were not greeted for a couple of minutes. When the hostess finally came up to us she did not say hello and just told us to follow her. She threw the menus down on the table and just walked away. Her appearance, in my personal opinion, was not very professional. Although the greeting was not great our waitress was fantastic. The food was great. We had the mushroom sirloin. Yum! For dessert we had the apple flatbread, which was very filling and delicious. Unfortunately, we wanted to leave an exceptionally great tip for the outstanding waitress but didn’t feel comfortable because I’m fairly certain we saw the same girl that sat us taking money out of the tip book while cleaning a table. Although we are not 100% certain, we still were hesitant to leave the tip unattended. We come here often and have never seen such unacceptable actions from an employee before. Prices were reasonable, and the restaurant was a little outdated but overall a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Manager came and asked us how everything was which I thought was very thoughtful. I will definitely be returning soon.

Eating dinner Ordered hickory bbq chicken with fries and salad bar Salad bar I give 4 stars kind of messy and plates didn’t look clean I would recommend tables over booths. The seating in booths is so uncomfortable. Hour forced to sit hunched over cuz it’s so uncomfortable. Bbq glaze is so not delicious. Ew! The chicken is seriously dry. I’m not going to eat it. The French fries taste good. The flies are annoying flying around. Sprite is good.

This place was an interesting experience. This was the second time I’d been here recently, primarily for the salad bar. For a chain place, this location does an excellent job of cooking their bourbon salmon — most chains overcook the heck out of fish, but these guys don’t. The Thai shrimp apply was very good, and i combined this with the salads bar for a light summer dinner. The Thai shrimp was excellent, sauce a winner. The salad bar is fresh and well-tended. The wait staff seemed nice and attentive, and didn’t screw anything up. They also have a nice large bar area with plenty of tables and TVs so you can enjoy a game while you eat. What dropped this place from a three-star to a two-star was the total lack of professionalism. When I came in, the hostess was actually sleeping on a bench seat. Later, when I went to the salad bar, she was laying down on the bench texting. The second unprofessional situation was a girl who was either an assistant manager or bartender, couldn’t tell for sure, was all over her boyfriend. She was wring but sitting with him at the bar. After hugging and kissing hum, she began massaging his crotch in plain view of my seat. GROSS!!! The third unprofessional thing that was going on was the dishwasher kept coming out of the kitchen, really nasty and dirty, and helping himself to drinks behind the bar. Above average chain food, but really strange activities by the staff.

Lunch date with mom. This is the 2nd time we have gone here and have not left disappointed. Hostess was sweet and welcomed us with a smile. Started with the salad bar: Clean and fresh with quite a few options to make a nice salad, dressing are fresh. Salted margaritas were perfect, thank you to the bartender. Mom was very pleased with her steak perfectly cooked and juicy, thank you to the chef. I had the ½ rack of ribs and southern style chicken fingers. Rib meat fell off the bone. literally finger licking good. Chicken fingers… juicy, with a light seasoned breading. Kyle was our server. he approached us smiling, was very attentive and would join in our conversation. He made us feel as if we were visiting a friend for lunch. Thank you Kyle, you were fantastic!

I went here for lunch yesterday and here is my gripe… I often have to take out clients for my job(about 3 times a week) but I have to pay for my own food which can get very costly. Since I wasn’t too hungry I ordered an appetizer as my meal which was the Thai Popcorn Shrimp 5.95…it was ok, the shrimp are very small but the saucy was ok, but there really wasn’t much of it but I wouldn’t say it was bad. The problem, I get the bill and was charged for an entrée 9.95…what? Exactly what did I pay 4 extra dollars for? I have no idea but I would never, ever go back. The appetizer description says ½ pound of shrimp and I have no idea what that would look like but I am pretty sure I received an appetizer but I am hoping it was a mistake because I left a very generous tip because the waitress was so sweet and I didn’t notice until later.

I have never really been a fan of Ruby Tuesdays, but for some reason I do come here 2 – 3 times a year with my wife, usually when I get a coupon in the mail. I boycotted them for a long they do not carry Heinz ketchup. Not joking. Not even sure how they stay in business as they are never really crowded. They are one of the few restaurants that still offer a salad bar which is nice. Burgers are not bad, but they charge extra for a «prime» burger(better quality meat). Plus, don’t forget they don’t have Heinz ketchup to top it off. Do NOT get the steak, it’s quite bad. Fatty, grisly and freezer burnt. Meal starts off with a couple of fresh baked biscuits which are pretty good. Decent place for a burger and beer. Otherwise, not so sure. PS. I like that they have Pepsi products here

My boyfriend and I go here all the time, mainly for the salad bar. The burgers and chicken entrees are tasty too. However, we went last night and we noticed that there were a lot of operational problems. First off, there was a ten minute wait, but about half of the tables we could see were empty. I Don’t think I’ve ever been to a resteraunt where that happened. Maybe they were just understaffed that night? Second, all of the tables in our area didn’t have utensils and everyone had to ask for them. Third, I ordered something with no mayo, came with mayo. The waiter offered to bring me a new one but there was only a little bit on there anyway so I just stuck with it, then I realized a major problem, my chicken BLT had no bacon! Just pickles instead. Very weird. I didn’t complain about it because, well, I’m not one to complain and it seemed like the whole staff was stressed out. We shared a dessert and it was pretty good. I’ve been going here a long time and there always seems to be some kind of issue with waiting for a table, or for the server to come over, or the food. But we’ll keep coming back for the salad bar.

We arrived around 4:30 on a Saturday so the restaurant was pretty quiet. I got a pretzel burger and my boyfriend got the Asiago peppercorn steak. We both loved our meals, I just thought that the cut of steak was small considering the price(around $ 15.99). There were more mashed potato and onion rings(the sides) on the plate than the steak. We both got the warm chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream for dessert and both were delicious. Our server Jillian was as nice as can be. We might go again but I would personally opt for TGI Fridays which is a little more reasonable price wise.

Located in Sayville off Sunrise Hwy, easy enough to get to. Been here a few times and seem to have an issue every time but the kids line the place. This time made me NUTZ. Ordered appetizers right after we got drinks. Only two apps, nothing ground breaking. Wait 15 mins and they come. Two minutes later the entrees come. I hate that more then anything. Come on, it’s common sense. Hamburgers were extra greaser this time. Needed new buns because two of my kids weren’t happy. I know it’s Ruby Tuesdays but common man. Bad service, the server is a hit it miss in these kind of places.

I went here last night and ordered the fish tacos. My mom had a steak and my dad had a burger. Her steak was cooked well and her dish was good overall and the same goes for my dad’s burger. My fish taco on the other hand was so disgusting I actually spit the first bite out. The fish wasn’t the issue– although it was overcooked. The other toppings tasted as if they were left in a dirty dish bin. My mom agreed that it was smelled like old, dirty water. I mentioned it to the waitress who brought the manager over. She apologized and said she’d take it off the bill but then came back over and said that we were making it up and the food was totally fine. She claimed she checked all their greens, including the ones in my fish taco that I watched the waitress throw out, and everything was fine. My mom has co-owned a restaurant for 15 years and I’ve been involved with it since I was 10 so it’s not as if we don’t know food. She did take off the bill but then charged for a salad bar(which came with the fish taco for free) So instead of paying $ 9.99 for the tacos she charged me $ 9.49 for the salad bar. Anytime one of my customers complain I take the item off the bill and offer them a free dessert. This woman did not care one bit about our experience or us going back. She didn’t even offer to make me another dish. She said if I wanted something else I’d have to pay for that dish plus the full salad bar price. I suggested she charge the add on cost of a salad bar to a meal which is $ 3.50 and she said she wouldn’t do that because I obviously filled up on the salad bar. I honestly can’t believe how awful this experience was. I’ve really never been treated so badly by any type of establishment before. Generally the food is about what you’d expect for a chain restaurant but after being treated so poorly I definitely won’t be going back.

good service and i like their new menu. pretzel burger was delicious! $ 2 triple prime upgrade was a miss — we’ll save the $ 2 next time. salad bar was clean and pretty well stocked EXCEPT for the croutons. i made four trips to check and they were never replenished. however, the biggest problem my party had at this restaurant was the complete lack of exterior lighting. when we left after dark, there were no lights on in front of the place, the sign was dark, and the entire parking lot was dark. this is not only bad for business but a horrible safety issue. at night on a main road is a bad place for someone to be alone in the dark. thankfully i was with three other people but all of us were surprised by the lack of exterior lighting — and all of us took it as a lack of concern for the patrons of the restaurant.

You know I don’t understand the low rating. We had a great meal. The four of us had salad bar. Great! I love salad bar. Only problem was the rolls. The should give a dinner roll. chicken pasta with broccoli was better than I expected. Dessert well. I was stuffed. I tried the double chocolate cake. Ice cream was so good. Not the cheap vanilla. It was the yellow creamy vanilla. And the cake with strawberry sauce was delicious. Four adults all very satisfied.

We haven’t been here in quite awhile. We had good turkey burgers here a few years ago. There was a coupon in the Sunday paper so we went here on October 7th. We were greeted with a smile by the host, seated promptly and served by a very nice young lady. They started us off with a complimentary plate of 4 garlic biscuits which were delicious. We ordered 2-for-1 light beers. We both had the blackened tilapia. The food was of very good quality, although the tilapia recipe seemed pretty basic. We ate every last bite. The vegetable side dishes were also good. The value we received, especially with the coupon, was teriffic. We intend to return. The atmosphere created by the very pleasant young people was what we appreciated the most.

Only reason they are getting 2 stars is case they are cheap and their watermelon soda was tasty. For a dump like this we waited a LONGTIME for service but our server Chris was a nice guy and seemed like he was the guy working on a Tuesday afternoon. The guacamole dip was good. My grilled chicken salad was pedestrian at best but Carol’s bacon cheeseburger looked good and she said it tasted ok.

Absolutely empty when we stopped in after bowling next door. Nice server but the food was a bit cold and the drinks a bit warm, but the prices are reasonable, even considering the little you get in terms of quality.
