I’ve been to Candlelight a bunch of times, the good is pretty good but the staff tends to be kind of rude, not terrible, but not friendly either. There wings are a local masterpiece though. They serve pretty classic American bar good, burgers, wings, fries, mozzarella sticks. BUTTHEYONLYTAKECASH, which is a bit annoying in 2016

The wait is the only downside here. If I had their buffalo wings(hot) and waffle fries once-a-month for the rest of my life, I would die happy. My children like the wings as well, so it is more than just the spice. My family showed up at 5:15pm on Sunday and had to wait 90mins with a 4yr-old. That would have been a killer-blow except that everyone there is super-nice.

Awesome little dive in Westchester… perfectly saucy hot wings… full wings too not wings pieces. Classic apps like mozzarella sticks are crispy and fresh and I was thrilled with my first ever broccoli poppers. They’re the graceful combination of bacon, processed cheese sauce and just the right amount of broccoli dust to make you feel like you’re eating your veggies. Shoestring fries… omg let you tell you about these crispy strips of heavenly fried awesomeness… We had cheese sauce with slices of fresh jalapeño peppers just floating on the surface like sunbathers floating in a pool of salty, creamy, orange yum! Also a first for me was dipping my fries in a viscous Brown and fatty gravy. I loved this place and will go again.

What!?! Rudest staff ever. Food was… well these are chicken wings, Bowling alleys can do this. The delivery is only walking distance so don’t waste your time. The hype is all I see here not the follow through. Great food is great food, this is not great food. It is just chicken wings and the place is nothing special. I really can’t get past the rude staff and the extremely high prices. I will never eat this stuff again.

BELIEVEINTHEWINGS. These wings are GREAT. Actually, they’re what wings are supposed to be: decently coated in sauce, cooked evenly, occasional crunchy bits. We ordered 1 teriyaki and 1 buffalo along with waffle fries and a cup of chili(for him :) Those fries were also what waffle fries are supposed to be! Freshly made and thick enough to enjoy. The chili was good too but it was too thick for my preference but had good taste(especially with the cheese and onions on top!). We washed it all down with Broken Bow Very Berry sour beer. The place is pretty small and it was a full night but the servers moved quickly. Thumbs up to them! ***please keep in mind this place only accepts cash! We had to drive to the nearest chase lol***

One of the iconic restaurants in Westchester County. And dare I say, the BEST Wings in the entire Northeast Corridor! Read into that if you will when it comes to including Buffalo, NY joints ;) Anyway, classic old school(and its authentically as it celebrated 60 years this past summer) roadside bar feel, with some great local craft beer selections. Yeah it is tight, especially at peak hours, but the wings are worth it.

Literally the best wings in existence. I’ve travelled to Buffalo for the yearly Wingfest to compare these to legends such as Duff’s and Anchor Bar. I have to say, those wings don’t even hold a candle(light) to the wings you get here. Even though it is 30 minutes from my house, I have driven there about 100 times to indulge in the most amazing experiences in any person’s lifetime. If you’re reading this review and have decided to pass over this amazing restaurant, then you’re an idiot. Get hot teriyaki sauce.

Best wings I’ve ever had! The sauces are delicious. I’m a fan of the spicier side so I switch between the hot and very hot although I’ve heard hot teriyaki mixed is also delicious. The place is vey small and can get super crowded on weekend. I went for lunch n a Thursday and there was a wait. Service can be suffer a bit because of the volume but it’s not enough to ruin my meal. That’s how you know it’s good. definitely worth the wait.

A bit pricey, a bit cramped. One who is unused to carrying cash– I was a put off being unable to use my debit card. They surely could improve with regards to bookkeeping. The extra spicy wings were good– if I should return I will kick it up a notch. Remember, CASHONLY!

Waffle fries are crispy and amazing. Wings are huge and u actually get to separate the wing from the drumstick yourself. This place is kind of unique in the way. The blue cheese dressing is funky fresh with hunks of cheese in it. Yumm. It’s the little things. Just ask my azn friends. Service is usually hit or miss. Went during off peak hours and was never waiting or wanting for anything.

Best wings I e ever had. You can order just legs or if you don’t specify you get wings and legs connected! Never seen that before but it’s awesome. The buffalo sauce is to die for so buttery and delicious. My boyfriend and I got the medium basket of wings to share and we were perfectly full! It’s a small spot so be prepared to wait but it’s worth it for sure. Will definitely be back!

What’s not to like about candle light? Wings are great and you can order them however spicy or not spicy you like. The drinks are okay as well. The only thing that can suck, specially during the spring/summer is the wait time to be seated. I love their waffle fries. The desert cookie with ice cream is GREAT! Nice place to hang out with a few friends. Would recommend it.

A: Standing in a long line, waiting for chicken wings. Q: What is something you do during The Great Depression, Alex? I already knew what to expect of this place from reviews and a feature on Fios1 Restaurant Hunter, so we went mid-afternoon on a weekend and the line was almost out the door already. Expected that on a weekend evening, but not mid-afternoon. There are few occasions when I will stand in a long line for food; chicken wings are not one of them. So we got takeout. The wings and legs were decent sized compared to what you might get at other places. The meat on the legs was a bit tough, but edible. The teriyaki sauce was a bit bland and salty but the scampi sauce was pretty good. Also a bit salty. Large fries were indeed large… and for $ 9, should be. Pretty tasty. Not too potaoey. The onion rings were really good. Not too generous with the celery, though. Then again, have you priced celery lately??? I’m actually asking you, the gentle reader, because I haven’t. I don’t quite get this place. There’s a lot of parking, but the inside dining area is small? There’s an outdoor area that perhaps fills up in the warmer months. I’d go back and try a couple different flavors of wings, and definitely get the onion rings again.

Candlelight is all right. I have heard a lot of great things about this restaurant, but I wasn’t really that impressed. Their food was greasy and it was pretty noisy when I was there for dinner.

I the #skinnyfatbastardnyc found myself in Scarsdale, NY and was craving some wings and upon my research found this place that can be easy to miss. Cons: Long wait to get a table+Cash Only. The food itself came out pretty fast once order was in. It is pretty busy as I guess everyone in town comes here to get their wings fix. You can also order and eat at the bar for faster service. What I ordered WAFFLEFRIES: Delicious, Just the right amount of crispiness. Dip it in ketchup or blue cheese sauce. It was hard for me to stop eating them all. I had to share :( Hot & Teriyaki WINGS: DOPE. This sauce is a bit spicy with Teriyaki and it hit the spot! I recommend. Don’t worry it is not scorching hot just a bit of spice. BUFFALOWINGS: I liked their Buffalo wings as well. Good sauce good flavor. BBQ Legs: Their BBQ sauce was ok. A little too sweet for my liking. I would say stick to Buffalo and Teriyaki or Hot & Teriyaki as both were delish! You need to request Blue Cheese sauce and celery for them to include it. It’s free but you have to ask for it. Good spot that lived up to its reputation for very good wings and waffle fries. Waitstaff is nice, but it can take a bit for them to get you seated.

I don’t understand the hype. How were there so many cars lining up here on a random weekday? I don’t understand. The wings were very saucy indeed– but also very very salty. I couldn’t get past 2 wings before my face was swelling up. 1 star for the games that kept my dad distracted. 1 star for the friendly service(even though we waited 1 hour). I like that it is a family institution though, so maybe they have their fans there. But personally, I wouldn’t return.

I was in the what I would call the middle of nowhere to take my sister to her doctor’s appointment. She was taking awhile, so I figured I’d grab a beer at the bar down the road. It was small, with mostly wood décor, figured it was a townie bar. The waitress let me sit where I liked, and I ordered a beer I saw on their TV beer menu, Broken Heart Stout from the Broken Bow Brewery. I whipped out the Unilocal app to see what Unilocalers had to say about this place and to my surprise there were 400+ reviews for this small town bar. Everyone says the wings are the best, so I ordered some wings and cheese fries. I don’t know if the wings were the best I’ve ever had, but they were pretty damn good. Each wing was fried to a crisp, lightly coated with buffalo sauce, and served whole. No complaints there. The fries were really good too, I guess the cook knows how to fry things well. It was a pretty large portion for the price, but I was surprised that the side of jalapeño cheese sauce cost $ 4. Actually, the whole thing came out to be a bit pricey for around 4:00pm on a Monday. I figured there might be a happy hour special or something at least for the beer, but I guess not.

After reading many reviews saying it’s the BESTWINGSEVER, i was a bit skeptical. BUT, it did pretty much live up to the hype. while the wings weren’t the BEST i’ve ever had. they are certainly in the top 5 places for wings i’ve ever had Pros: — wings are crispy on the outside, hot and fresh on the inside. pretty good amount of meat(medium sized wings/legs) — sauce — we got the hot teriyaki — LOVEDIT! good amount of heat/fire along with the savory and sweet teriyaki side. awesome. Cons: — price — a bit high. it cost basically $ 9 for 10 pieces… that’s almost a dollar a wing!!! I wish it were sparta… but this wasn’t sparta, this was madness. While I really enjoyed the wings, a big reason i can’t give this place a 5 star rating is because of the price (I also like how on their menu they have $ 8.50 for 10 pieces and $ 17 for 20 pieces. That’s basically saying.[insert sarcastic voice] «WOW, i can get 1 for $ 1 or an even better deal… 2 for $ 2!!!» — no credit card. if the meal is going to cost at least $ 15 per person, it’s ridiculous that it’s cash only. — they charge for extra blue cheese… smh — long wait times. my friend and i were lucky because it was just us 2 and we JUST missed the dinner rush, but I saw some people waiting for quite some time. If you go for dinner, try to go before 6pm now now… it may seem like there are many more cons than pros BUT don’t be fooled! this place is still great(i just wish it were cheaper) and i’ll definitely be back to have more wings, but also to try their waffle fries and broccoli poppers!
