Shoyu Sushi

Great place and food! Cozy and clean.

Tried this for the first time and must admit the Unilocalers with the bad reviews (but no helpful constructive feedback on the place or the food — just negative comments and innuendo) had me think twice… I am glad I discounted these reviews.
Food was fine and service was good. The sushi plate with the salmon, tuna and yellowtail along with a roll was the dinner. Sushi was fresh and tasted good. Tuna was high quality dark meat tuna and the roll was eel and avocado (it was heavy on the BBQ sauce). It was however more tasty than expected and higher quality. The sake was American which is not drinkable so I had to send it back and they were accommodating and replaced it with a lovely Ozeki sake.
I must complain to Unilocal.Why are reviews that say that the people in this place look Asian etc permitted? This is discriminatory and the review says nothing about the food or service. Not sure if there is a forum for complaints but someone needs to look at these reviews.
I will go back.

Dudes these this place is a Chinese restaurant pretending as a Japanese sushi restaurant. Just because they look Asian doesn’t mean they are Japanese. Real Japanese sushi bars are Azuma, fujinoya, and sushi nanase.

Man this place rules. Easily the best sushi I’ve had in Westchester. Fish is outstanding, absolutely perfect in every way. My new go to sushi spot. Five stars.

2 cases of food poisoning after a meal there yesterday. Off our list. Deserves no stars. Awful.

I love this place, they have an awesome menu lots of variety. The waitress are always very attentive and Polite. This is one of the hidden gems of Scarsdale.

Definitely a new customer at Shoyu. Friends and I ordered sushi salad soup and chicken teriyaki for delivery and everything was amazing.
The woman on the food with whom i placed my order with was very attentive and accurate. Delivery came quick too which was a plus.
Can’t wait to dine in or order delivery soon!

Definitely on my top 10 list for sushi in Westchester County. Their menu has a nice selection of entrees, regular rolls, special rolls, etc. — all of which are fairly priced & relatively inexpensive.

I almost gave this place 2 stars, but then thoughts yeah it has a big enough menu for everyone. It does what it does nicely. But for sure I have had better sushi, like Azuma for one. This is a good place in the area, that’s it. The thing that bothers me is the smell of the kitchen, I hate that!

This has got to be THE BEST sushi place in Westchester that I ever tried.
I actually stumbled on this place one day, and now it’s my place to go to.
The sushi is Very fresh always. The servers are also very kind and inviting.
The place is very authentic Japanese inside. To the right, beautiful tatami-​like wooden booths, and to the left regular booths, and tables in the middle.
It is smaller than most restaurants, but very well spaced and decorated with a lot of creativity, but not overdone. I love this place, and if you love sushi this is the place to go! :-)

Hands down, the best sushi in Westchester. I’ve eaten there and got take out many times, and am never let down. The sushi is always fresh and delicious. They have an extensive menu and a lot of variety. You won’t be disappointed
