Went here for dinner with two little kids. We shared dumplings, pork buns, Cantonese chicken, and Peking duck, fried rice. All of us were very happy with the meal — especially the chicken. Food was made of high quality ingredients, prepared perfectly. Have to give shout out to server Keith — who was great with the kids. Actually, everyone was super nice. Adults had some very delicious, strong cocktails. Great meal, fun time! Highly recommend

For all those looking for delicious and nutritious food I urge you to try Wuji! The original chef has returned and the food is incredible! Farm to table meets Chinese food and I’m hooked! Try the Szechuan dragon chicken, the black pepper beef and the Chinatown stir fry. You won’t regret giving this place a try. Slightly more costly than your average Chinese food but I swear it’s completely worth it! Better quality ingredients makes this the best food!

i want to give these guys a very positive shout-out. they clearly care about the quality of their food and they use excellent ingredients to produce fresh, very flavorful stuff. i tried the black pepper beef, shanghai noodles, dumplings(excellent sauce with this, by the way) and spring rolls(also good mustard sauce with this), and i was more than pleased with all four. this is WAY better than the standard churn n burn cantonese places you find around westchester. i look forward to ordering from them again and will experiment with more of the menu. i would urge you to give them a chance, too.

My first visit was excellent! But lately… Inconsistent… get your act together! Lackadaisical staff and a rotating kitchen crew does not make for a pleasant dining experience. Making a «stiffer» cocktail will not appease a guest who has been waiting over an hour for an appetizer. Watching«friends» of the bartender get their food speedily and all the attention only makes it worse. «Yeh yeh yeh… Im a friend of the chef». You guys need to clean house or hire a real GM. All the cotton candy in Shanghai is NOT gonna help!

I had read a couple of reviews in the local magazines and newspapers that were glowing about the atmosphere and«farm to wok» ingredients at Wuji. Now, of course, I tempered those expectations somewhat because I know that these publications are basically cheerleaders for local businesses who more often than not receive advertising dollars from the very restaurants they are reviewing. That said, I liked the idea of the Hong Kong trained chef, the Heritage pork, wild caught fish and organic vegetables. It seemed like the quality of the ingredients alone would separate it from the spate of mediocre Chinese restaurants in Westchester County. We were greeted courteously at the door by a young hostess who immediately seated us at a table in what I considered the back corner of the restaurant. It felt almost like an annex of the restaurant. The tables in that section are so close together that I could not even get into my seat without hitting the chair of the person sitting behind me. The aisles on either side of the table were also so tight that my shoulders were brushed almost every time a waiter or bus person passed by. I found it very uncomfortable. That particular night our waiter was training someone so this trainee«shadowed» the waiter for the evening. Given the extremely tight quarters this trainee seemed to be lurking around our table the entire evening as he was watching our waiter serve our table as well as the surrounding tables, which as I have mentioned were all in such close proximity to one another. It felt as though our entire evening was being observed. Although there were a sufficient quantity of young busboys circulating the entire evening with pitchers of water it was difficult to get their attention to have our water glasses filled. Now for the food. First we started off with the Heritage spare ribs. They were plump and lean and minimally dressed in the typical sweet barbeque sauce you have come to expect in a Chinese spare rib. Although the pork flavor was more evident, they lacked any char or real character. They were good but failed to deliver on what I have come to expect from a great Chinese spare rib. Perhaps that has something to do with the lack of fat. At the same time we had the Bao Bao Buns which were constructed on a simple bun and filled with Berkshire pork, daikon and house-made pickles. This dish was, by far, the best of the night. It had this beautifully treated pork with a slight sweetness and then the crunch of the pickles and the mild but present spiciness of the daikon. What a great dish! We then were served the lobster fried rice. The fried rice was interesting due to the abundance of little bits of vegetables in the rice. Though it was not your typical fried rice due to these additions I did not particularly mind it. What I did mind, however, was the lack of lobster in the«lobster fried rice». We had to look hard to find any lobster at all. And what lobster we did find were the«throwaway» parts… the very ends of the claws. You know, right at the point where the texture changes to this undesirable consistency which becomes void of any lobster taste whatsoever. Had the waiter ever stopped by during the course of the meal to check on how everything was, I would have asked him where the lobster was that was supposed to be in the dish. We also were served the next dish which was the Crispy Whole Fish. The fish, unfortunately was not particularly crispy though and the fish itself was way overdone. Also, the sauce was supposed to be with thai basil and chili garlic oil, all I could taste was an overwhelming saltiness with none of the above mentioned flavorings. Now I usually like a lot more saltiness in my food than my wife but I found this way too dominant. How disappointing! At the end of the meal the waiter(and his shadow) finally appeared to ask how everything was. I showed him the rice and asked him to look at the lack of lobster in it as well as the few inferior pieces that could be found. He brought it back to the kitchen to show the chef. To his credit, he did come back about 10 minutes later(just when I was wondering why he had not yet brought me the check I had asked for) with a new lobster fried rice to take home with me. I was quite surprised at the amount of the check. Two appetizers fried rice and one main course, no alcohol and the bill came to $ 80.00…$ 95 with tip. I thought this was rather expensive for the quality and satisfaction I got from this dining experience. By the way, when I got home I opened the fried rice he gave me to take home and it did indeed have an appropriate amount of lobster in it; and they were much higher quality pieces. Was that to make a point and get me to come back or was that more typical for the way they normally prepare the dish? I guess I will never know as I do not intend to return… there are plenty of other mediocre Chinese restaurants in Westchester that charge a lot less!

Went to Wuji for their Dim Sumday’s Brunch in Scarsdale, NY and had an amazing time! The food, service, atmosphere and live DJ were all 100% on point. I will definitely be going back.

The food at Wuji was so fresh and tasty. I had the sesame chicken and, I could actually taste the chicken. It was not overly breaded or drenched in sauce. The service was great and, The clean, urban atmosphere takes Chinese dining to a whole other level. Hmmm, what to have next time? I can’t wait to eat here again.

Love this place! A 2 minute walk from the Scarsdale train station. Space is elegant yet comfortable. Bartenders are truly artists w/the signature drinks(especially Jahmar) & love the blood orange mojito… the food is traditional with a modern twist — roast pork is a favorite. And the cotton candy that accompanies the check is a fun alternative!

I typically am a viewer of rating and normally never a giver of reviews. I had to do it after the experience I had at this restaurant. Extremely friendly wait staff and the manager who was Korean was exceptional. Great food and great environment for a relax Saturday night

Ordered delivery from Wuji and really enjoyed it! The price, however, was not as nice. We ordered just enough food for 4 people and it came to $ 80. Portion sizes were on the small side, although you do get what you pay for… tasty, organic, authentically prepared food. We had a hard time deciding between their 3 types of dumplings but settled on wok-fried pork dumplings, which were great! The Peking duck mu shu was a flavorful treat, and the black pepper beef with vegetables was tasty too. The cold peanut noodles were slightly under-seasoned, but the blackened garlic string beans made up for that in spades. Overall, a terrific meal from a cool new place!

Horrible food, service, and management. Terrible experience. Manager was very rude and disrespectful. Stay away from this place! They messed up our order and then over charged us and ran our card 4 times and made us wait 45 minutes just to pay the bill. I never cook at home and always eat out and this was the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant in my life. They didn’t even apologize. I never write reviews because I don’t have the time, but I feel compelled to let others know about my experience so they will not have to endure the torture of going to this awful place.

I had the lobster fried rice. Delicious. I’m here in Scarsdale for an internship… It’s a shame Wuji wasn’t open sooner, or I would have been there more. I highly recommend supporting this new restaurant! The owner did a great job designing the inside — it’s a really cool place. It has my 5 star recommendation without a doubt.

We heard some bad reviews from friends about service and food execution. So with those reviews in mind, we took the plunge on a Friday night. While we were seated promptly, we did not have a server or busboy come by until nearly 7 minutes later. The place was crowded but you need to do simple things well. We did tell out waiter we needed to be out within an hour. We shared some spring rolls, calamari salad appetizer along with the spicy fried rice, and tangerine beef. I had a glass of red wine. Overall, the food is not healthy with lard or peanut oil they cook with and the sweet sauces. We probably will return but it is expensive Chinese which many people expect better quality food for higher prices. Service still needs to improve.

Please invest in small spoons! I recently went there eager to try and and a 7:30 high table was the only thing available on a Saturday night. Firstly, I’m used to Chinese people at a Chinese restaurant, but you will only find one in the kitchen. The décor is modern and inviting. The service is ok, no real complaints. I ordered a few dumplings which were very good, the shrimp, pork, and veggie. You should ask for the hot sauce other than the bottle stuff they give you, the chili oil is quite good. One issue I had is that they gave regular size spoons with the sauces… come on! It’s a no brainier to give small ones with sauces. The chicken dish I ordered came out look warm. The server didn’t offer to do much about it. I also got the half Peking Duck which was just ok, the cut wasn’t normal for duck so you had skin separate from the meat which is not well balanced. You also need a decent amount of fat which I didn’t see. All in all a decent place for people who don’t know too much about Chinese food. it does what it’s supposed to in Scarsdale but I wouldn’t say it’s authentic. The thing I did like is that it’s fresher than other Chinese places.

Disappointed tonight. Did take out of sesame chicken. Tough and chewy. Sharp contrast to previous take out experiences of same dish which were very good. Kitchen getting sloppy?

Our first but not our last time! Stopped at the bar to start. Interesting selection of craft beers. Highly recommend the dai dai IPA. The four of us shared 4 apps and 3 mains and had plenty of food left over. For the apps we had pork buns(amazing), ribs –portion and rib size were generous and the flavor was exceptional, spicy shrimp lettuce wraps(huge hit) and spicy eggplant another huge hit. For mains we had tangerine beef, cooked to perfection crunchy outside with a moist inside. Another shrimp dish that was great and a chicken dish. The cotton candy as a finish was fun. Let me finish by saying our waiter, Joe, helped make the night a success as well. Finally high end Chinese with excellent execution, right in the heart of Scarsdale village!

An organic Chinese restaurant in Westchester county. How brilliant is that? Finally we do not have to worry about MSG and the over use of mystery oil. This restaurant is bringing us into the 21st century! The owner Tor seems to be there all the time. The chicken was plentiful as were the outstanding noodle dishes. Proud to have a restaurant of this quality in Scarsdale. PS the décor is beautiful. I realized tonight that i forgot to mention take out! It is Nirvana. They try to call you right before it comes. The chicken and noodles were delivered piping hot!!! Best take out we have ever gotten in Scarsdale!

Wuji is off to a good start. It’s in a handsome space. The staff and restaurant have the feel of an expensive restaurant. There are good cocktails and craft beers. We sampled just a few dishes. The shrimp dumplings, dragon chicken and shrimp fried rice are very good. The ingredients are good and the food is well prepared. The food seems to be interpreted a bit, but is good. Wuji is almost a bit too precious. I have always been ambivalent about Chinese food in upscale restaurants– never liked Shun Lee. The food is more expensive than most Chinese restaurants, but the service and space are much more formal. Overall, a good place.

We just had a fabulous dinner at Wuji a new Chinese restaurant that opened recently in Scarsdale. The restaurant offered«half portions» or «full portions» so we ordered lots of dishes to sample their menu. We started with an order of lightly pan fried vegetable dumplings and chicken spring rolls. Both dishes arrived and tasted spectacular ! It was the beginning of an incredible evening of exceptionally prepared dishes. We then enjoyed sesame chicken, roasted string beans, Peking Duck, prawns with mixed vegetables, stir fried vegetables and spicy fried rice. What impressed us was how each dish tasted so delicious, it made us feel the chef was only thinking of making us happy. We arrived around 6:15 and we were able to get a table without a reservation but by the time we left, the place was packed! Make a reservation and you’ll be glad you did!
