Absolutely amazing. I have been going here for many years, and it is consistently incredible. The chicken fried rice is perfectly cooked, and the seasame chicken is always crispy and delicious. The best part of the meal for me, however, are those scrumptious wanton crunchy noodles that are placed on every table with duck sauce and mustard. Even the wanton soup and tea are delicious, although the tea can be very hot to begin with, so you might want to blow on it a while before sipping. If you want the best Chinese food in Scarsdale this is the place. Only Jades Spoon compares in terms of quality and flavor, and they aren’t a full sized establishment like Seven Woks is. I can’t recommend this place enough! You won’t be disappointed!

DONOTWALK — RUNAWAY from even the thought of dining at this«restaurant». I have never even written a review on Unilocal, but my horrible experience inspired me to warn potential new customers. The food is old school, mediocre at best. The value of the preparation and the portions make it overpriced, unimaginative chinese food. The only thing that keeps this restaurant functioning is the benefit of their location and no nearby competition. Not only is the food completely disappointing, but the rudeness of the staff makes the experience one where you leave the restaurant shaking your head in disbelief. We were practically chased out of this restaurant on a slow night where they obviously forgot that the GUESTS in the dining room came in to have a nice meal and were paying customers. The staff proceeded to clear the table while we were still eating after already having experienced problems with the food preparation. Then, they turned the majority of the lighting off while we were still seated at the table. This restaurant takes the concept of bad customer service to a whole new level.

Literally the best Chinese food in westchester and maybe even NYC. The perfect match is the best dish. And the filet mignon in a brown sauce is amazing. Their egg rolls are to die for. It’s my favorite restaurant in the world.

I am a regular. The food is great. The service is prompt and kind. My family and I always leave happy. My favorite dessert is the fried oreos. Definitely different but delicious.

A good staple Chinese Resturaunt in the neighborhood. We have never had a bad meal here. I only gave it 4 stars because it is a bit pricey. But overall would recommend it.

I’m amazed that anyone could equate this restaurant below a chain Chinese joint… I’ve been coming here for as long as they have been open and outside of a slight period where the fried rice had some white clumps in it(a couple of years ago) it has consistently been quality, tasty Chinese food. I no longer live here but when I come to visit it’s the first place I want to get food from. I’ve had Chinese food around the world and spent time in China. Is it original Chinese food? Yes, depending on the region you are discussing … No if you are thinking of all the other regions. The difference is. It has American ingredients. The shrimp is always fresh and tasty. The pork in the fried rice is a good cut of pork… The egg foo young has the right about of grease… And the shrimp with lobster sauce has the right amount of corn starch… For me… They have been in business for over 25 years. They must be doing something right. I think they do a lot of things right.

I can’t believe how good the Chinese food is here. Without a doubt, you NEED to go here if you are a fan of great Chinese food. Perfect Match is the best entrée, because it has an amazing peanut sauce. This place beats any other Chinese establishment in the area.

I am going to give this two stars for tonight’s dinner. I had the steamed tofu with mixed vegetables. My friend had the sesame chicken. The sesame chicken was hard inside and they did not give us enough sauce for that. We carried out and ate at home. I think that’s the worst idea because they don’t give you everything you need. One package of soy sauce for an entire meal that isn’t seasoned, such as the steamed tofu. The spring rolls did not seem fresh. My friend insists on seven woks and she is over 90 years old so I am not going to change her. I do like their Mushu pork, usually but decided not to get it. Ah well.

I think I’ve been eating Seven Woks since I was old enough to chew. Seriously, my entire family loves it! Back when I was way younger and my grandmother was still with us, she always loved to get the whole family together at this place. I have such fond memories of being with all my cousins — we got one of those huge tables where the food sits on a round thing that can then be spun around, and it was always fun to see how fast we could spin it before our parents yelled at us. Sorry! I guess I was a bad kid!!! But eating this food makes me think about my childhood and my family. It’s also really good! I can’t even eat other General Tso’s, Seven Woks has basically spoiled me. Their fried rice, dumplings, spare ribs, shrimp toast… man, all of those dishes have been staples in my family for decades now. It’s been so long since I’ve actually eaten in there, but we do order take out every now and then. They’re always consistently good, and they still remember us — they ask about how the family’s doing and all that. What can I say? I think every family has a place like this, that they really have a strong connection with. The food is always great, and the people running this place are the nicest around.

Have been here many times; usually not bad. Tonight every dish was horrible. Tasteless and worse. Even tea was watery and the Chinese noodles soggy. Both waiter and staff just shrugged when I complained. Strongly suggest going to another restaurant or cooking for yourself. Haven’t paid for such slop before. Also very noisy place that smells when you enter it.

Uninspired, insipid, almost inedible Chinese food. Extremely high prices for what is undoubtedly equivalent or worse than any hole in the wall, greasy spoon Chinese takeout place. The chow mein was swimming in a non distinct ‘brown sauce,’ with globules of oil floating around, separated due to reheating. Everything was stale and certainly not fresh. After complaining to the manager, she shrugged it off and actually giggled to herself as I walked out. Alka seltzer is next on the menu for me…

The best dish is the Chicken with pine nuts, the bbq spare ribs are also good, otherwise the #1 chicken special, singapore noodles and wonton soup are not very good. This is really a place to go if you’re in the mood for Chinese and aren’t looking for anything special. Cost: ~$ 10−12/entrée.

It’s not China town good but it’s the best in the area. Fried rice is fresh and not that packaged yellow stuff from most places. When they have lobster its amazing and they give you the entire lobster not just little chunks of claw.

The thing I like most about this place is the service. Everyone is so nice, and the restaurant is so big and nicely lit. The food is Americanized Chinese food, which some reviewers seem to have a problem with, but it is what it is. If you’re looking for more traditional Chinese food, you’ll probably have to leave Scarsdale — or even Westchester — and journey into the city. If you’re looking for Americanized Chinese food, this place does it well. The presentation of the food is excellent. I can’t say that it’s the tastiness Chinese food in the area(I like Chopstix on Garth Road, although that place is definitely more take-out than sit-down), but if my family is looking for a dine-in Chinese restaurant, this is our number one choice. We haven’t had a bad experience yet, and the friendly waitstaff keep us coming back. The place is always packed on the weekend, so that must say something as well.

Seven Woks is my least favorite Chinese restaurant in the area. It serves derivative, uninspired Chinese food. The menu is chock full of the Americanized recipes that suburban Chinese restaurants served in the 1960’s and 1970’s. It has been blissfully unaffected by regional cuisines, good ingredients and interesting recipes. The appetizers are the best part of the menu. The main dishes are chicken, beef, pork and shrimp in various combinations with bland sauces. Seven Woks is busy, nonetheless. It is filled with families with young children and septaugenarians with no remaining taste buds. If you want Chinese food that’s not challenging, or that reminds you of the bland stuff you ate when you were a kid, this is your restaurant. I would rather eat at Aberdeen or Central Seafood or even Hunan Village II.

Fresh ingredients, fabulous food, nice sized portions. Always crowded on the weekend but they do take reservations. They accept MC, Visa and Amex but not Discover.

Are you serious? This place is over-priced chinese food. They seriously cannot justify the price because the restaurant is actaully decently sized compared to a ghetto americanized chinese place. This place serves americanized chinese food btw. Yes i have to admit that i love their house special chicken and their mooshupork, but c’mon. It’s good but not great. What’s worse is how busy this place gets. I remember this place used to always be empty. I stop by last night and its packed to the wazoo. Even worse is the takeout area. I see hordes of people waiting for their takeout orders. They told me that my order will be ready in 20 minutes. I show up in 20 minutes, and I don’t leave for another 20 – 25 minutes. RIDICULOUS!!! I’ prefer chopsticks over this place anyday. It’s cheaper and the service is faster.

We left satiated, but not completely impressed after eating at Seven Woks. This restaurant is located in the busy Golden Horseshoe and is a decent option if you are looking for a fast sit-down meal. For the slightly elevated prices of common«Chinese» food dishes, however, we expected more than what local take-out places offered. Date of Visit: 3÷20÷2011(Sunday Dinner) The dinner started with a small, complimentary side of wonton crisps — my favorite snack by far! For the main courses, I ordered the Beef with Chinese Grill Sauce, while my friend requested the Perfect Family, which was a combination of chicken and shrimp. The sauces in these two dishes were simple, but tasty nonetheless. The meats and shrimp were well-cooked. Yet, these dishes were not really memorable. The service was well above average. The servers moved a million miles a minute and wasted no time in serving food and setting up new tables. After we placed our orders, we had to wait no more than five minutes. We were quite amazed at this speed considering that there were a lot of other patrons. About 30 minutes elapsed since the time we entered to the time we departed. The environment is spacious and was clean due to the attentiveness of the workers. Tables were covered with new cloth after parties left and spills were taken care of promptly. While the price of dinner was not outrageous,(it was a few extra dollars compared to take-out), we expected a more notable cuisine. This preconception may have been partly due to the obviously enhanced décor. However, Seven Wok is still a perfectly good place to go if you are looking for a convenient, fast and palatable meal.
