Wow… The customer service here is atrocious. They staffed 10+ people on a Sunday and not one greeted me. They either sauntered past me or gossiped in a circle. The cashiers were the worst. THREE of them standing around, laughing throughout my transaction. There were three greeters by the door, and not one word as I left. I’ll do it for you: BYE! ;)

The store stinks up the mall! Every time I go past it, I have to hold a handkerchief over my nose. I have chemical sensitivities, and breathing in the stench gives me a coughing attack. If this is supposed to be cologne, whatever, it smells like bad 1970s deodorant soap. They should be forced to cease and desist pumping this crap out into the mall air!

Was here this morning with my daughter to get college clothes. Since she will be a freshman, we were planning to purchase a lot of clothing, however the staff here was unhelpful and the store in disarray(seriously, so unprofessional to leave the display example sheets all over shirts I’m trying to look at. Those are not for customer’s eyes!) Manager was wandering around, looking at us as if we were stealing something. A lady cleaning the dressing rooms was the only one who seemed to care that my daughter was waiting to try on items. By the time we were ready to pay, we had two employees pass by us. Finally got someone to the register. Unsmiling, robotic rote lines… ugh. So thankful only a shirt ended up getting purchased. Never again.

I want to start by saying I NEVER leave completely negative reviews but this was unacceptable. I use to work for this company in HS and on breaks through college, and we were NOT allowed to speak customers the way the MANAGER in this store spoke to me. I ordered a bunch of colored jeans online with the intention of picking a few of the items and returning the rest. After I made my selection, I went to the Woodfield location to make my returns. At the register, I was explaining to the cashier that I wanted to return a few things when the manager leaned across from his register, where he was helping a different customer, and asked me quite rudely ummmm, do you have a receipt for that return? I answered him politely yep, just gave it to him pointing at the cashier. He responds, GOOD! When I was finished I went to browse the store. I found a pair of pants that I liked better than the ones I had(the color was more what I was looking for). So I went back up to the register to make an exchange. When I got to the cashier, the manager commented«Back AGAIN!!!» Ignoring how rude he was being to me I said yep! Just have a quick exchange. He responded, an exchange?! You just returned everything!!! Then grunted and handed his card to the cashier for authorization. After making the exchange I realized that the pants had gone on sale sine I had purchased them, less than a week ago. So I asked if I could have a price adjustment on the other items I had ordered that were now on sale. The manager snaped at me, «WHY do you want a price adjustment»??? I calmly responded, «because the items are now on sale and I ordered this stuff less than a week ago». It seemed obvious enough to me, but I get it, they are suppose to hit sales goals and me getting a chunk of my money back isn’t helping him. So I understood his frustration and tried to ignore it. He got increasingly irritated as he explained to me that he would have to return all the items and then resell them to me, and ITWOULDTAKE A WHILE. I responded that’s OK I’m in no rush. He grunted, said something under his breath, and handed the authorization card to the cashier for the return. The cashier asked me for my credit card and then went through the process of doing what he needed to do. When he handed me my bag I left without saying a word. When I got home I looked at the receipt and realized that he returned the items and re-bought them, charging me full price for a pair of jeans instead of giving me a discount. Ultimately charging me more than I originally paid for all three items combined. AND Putting additional money on my credit card. IF you are doing a price adjucement does it make any sense to be charging the customer additional money?! I will be back to get this rectified. However, after that, they can kiss my business goodbye! Having worked for the company, I always thought I would be a life-long customer. I am 23 years old, and although the Abercrombie logo tops dont do it for me anymore, their fashion tops, jean shorts, and occassionally their fashion jeans are right up my alley! However, I have never been treated like I was the biggest burden and waste of time, as I was in that store yesterday. I feel betrayed by a company I spent more than 4 years working for. I don’t know this manager’s name but the company needs to explain to him that his job IS customer service. He needs to learn the definition and start living by it, because as of right now he lacks ALL the qualities that will make that store successful!!!

This store smells AWESOME. All the time. I want to hang out here just for that amazing cologne smell. That being said, they have cute clothes, too ;) I like dressing the DH in their button down shirts. They’re great quality, and they always look fantastic. Well, they better for $ 78 a pop! Some of their other clothes can be hot-or-miss, and I am a small person, and I wear a «large» in these clothes. Nothing like making a girl feel good *eye roll* But all in all, I love the softness of their sweatshirts and the quality of the clothes. I wish the lines would move faster, but that’s anywhere nowadays, right?
