I’ve been here twice, helping my younger cousin shop for Homecoming and Prom dresses. One of those two times, we purchased a dress here. The place feels really upscale when you first walk in. It’s got that«boutique» feel, where there’s only a few of each dress, it’s not like most places where it’s packed to the brim with clothes. The ladies working there have always been friendly and helpful in getting a fitting room started, etc. They’ve got nice fitting rooms, big mirrors, and the place is clean and brightly lit. I’d definitely recommend this store! They’ve got BEAUTIFUL dresses.

Although the dresses are nice, it certainly is not worth the attitude the sales girls are dishing out. The 2 stars I gave in this review was because the dresses in the store fitted me. I’m a smaller size so it’s hard for me to get a dress that fits. Initially, I walked in the store and got the invisible treatment. For those who don’t know what I mean, this is when you walk into the store pass 2 staff members and it’s like they don’t see you at all. But that really was the best part. Being ignored is far better than being given dirty looks. I walked around carrying 3 long dresses around trying to find someone to help me start a room and when I finally found someone, she just gave me this dirty look and pointed to a room. Despite the attitude, I still decided to buy the dress since I was on a time constraint. I asked one of the girls that since the dress was marked down, if it meant it was a final sale. Of course I wasn’t sure if she heard me since she didn’t even bother to turn around to look at me but she did answer my question. So we proceed with the purchase and during the whole transaction she was acting like she was unhappy to have to deal with me. The service here is just ridiculously bad. I mean the only way the service could get worse is if they came around the counter after the transaction and kicked you. I can’t imagine what the hiring manager was thinking when hiring these people. It’s really sad because I would have been satisfied with neutral service. You know, the kind when the staff doesn’t roll their eyes at you when you are trying to pay hundreds of dollars for a dress?

I came here to try on my wedding dress. When I called ahead to see if they had it, the girl who answered the phone didn’t seem to happy for whatever reason, so I wasn’t too excited to be going there. But once I did, there was ONE nice girl who happened to be helping me. I got lucky I guess. Online it said the dress I liked was on sale for half the price but once I got there I found out it was on the $ 100 rack. Sweet! When I was in there just browsing they didn’t half as much as they did on their website. They must keep a lot of stuff in back. All in all, I was happy with the place just because the girl that was helping me was super sweet, wasn’t trying just to sell me something. But then again I did get the one nice girl there; I think she was new though. The other girls working there was rude and gave everyone that walked in a dirty look. I did notice there were more prom dresses then wedding dresses. I think its at least worth a shot to look in there. Especially if they have wedding gowns for $ 100!

Excellent collection. I went here to get my wedding dress and got exactly what I wanted… except the customer service. When I went to make the order for the dress, and then pick up the dress several months later, the too-young staff had to make time out of their personal and telephone conversations to attend me. If you really, really like Jessica McClintock, try to grin and bear it… or else go downtown Chicago to the Bloomingdale’s mall McClintock store, but the downtown location had less selection.

The dress selection here was pretty lacking and service was not there. I came in with two friends and as we browsed along, no one offered to help us and it wasn’t all that busy there. After I tried on three dresses, I ended up just putting them back, and then, I had to wait ten minutes while the staff member got off her cell phone so I could ask her if the dress that I was interested in came in a different color. I still love Jessica McClintock quality but very disappointed with their service.
