This is a new to me bar on the up-in-coming downtown Schenectady, Jay Street. This is mostly a bar I think but they do have a menu looked like mostly hamburgs. DH and I were there on the Little Italy Street Fest so street was closed off… It was kind of a dismal day of projected rain so we decided to go in to Hunter’s and get a seat. Right at the window great spot for people watching… And who is the bartender but Rod Rhiel… great seeing him, good friend. Will have to come back and try out the food.

New place in the«Little Italy» section of Schenectady on Jay Street. Went there this past weekend and the place was really busy without being intimidating. Met the owner — he worked his ass off and still managed to be cool and friendly. Lots of drink choices and the food was great. We brought a large group of people that tried a bunch of things — my friend raved about the Reuben doughboy. I had the sweet potato fries and tried the regular fries — both really good. Heard the wings and mozzarella sticks were good, too. Great for a casual hang-out/meeting place; I’d definitely go back there when I’m in the neighborhood
