Poorly run take out Chinese restaurant with little in taste to redeem itself. One time I didn’t have cash and tried to get the 5.50 lunch special, they charged me for the dinner combo for 8.50 to make the $ 8 credit card minimum, but still gave me the lunch portion. One time I ordered online and they forgot about my order and only started preparing it when I arrived 20 mins later. Fried rice should be crisper, egg roll needs more filling, and general tso’s(and similar dishes) need less sauce. Rating reflects speed and price.

I always go to this Chinese restaurant and pretty much order the same thing, sweet and sour chicken. The sweet and sour sauce is the best in comparison to other Chinese spots here. Hot and sour soup is good too. I agree with the other reviewer that the wonton is not good, lacks flavor, so I add my own ginger to it. The only complaint that I have is that they NEVER thank me for my business, as a business, I think this is an important aspect to thank your loyal customers. I hope they see this.

I had to order yesterday for delivery even though its less then a mile away. I was stuck at the shop, Was happy they have order online service and it was here within a minute of the online time estimate! The shrimp fried rice was very good and fresh as the egg roll was, And with lots of lunch specials at good price even though im pretty much a bring lunch from home fellow I will order again when caught at work with no lunch

As a lover of Chinese food, going a week without it is tough, however since being in Schenectady I have been without, tonight I gave in and tried this restaurant. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Disclaimer, I am not comparing this to Chinese food from hong kong, Arcadia, flushing, Vancouver, sf, or any other chinese food Mecca, I’m just comparing it to your local Chinese restaurant and in tems of that, it passes. The beef and broccoli, was solid, I have found this is a great staple at most hole in the wall americnized Chinese. The o and sour soup was good as well. Kung pal chicken was fine, I would eat it again, but wouldn’t go out of my way to order, one friend got sweet and sour pork, which they said was good, but honestly how can someone really screw that up. The wonton soup was bad, skip it. And of course, even though two dishes would be enough for 5 people, since spersizing is what we do here, they threw in pork fried rice, just cause. Ad of course that was solid, another guarantee at most basic restaurants all in all I would be happy to eat here again and I will, many times.

The food was okay. I stopped for lunch takeout at No 1 Chinese Restaurant, which is located near the former Popeye’s. This Chinese takeout restaurant with open kitchen has quite an extensive menu including the standard Chinese dishes, as well as chef’s specialties and Szechuan specialties. The prices here are pretty good, most dishes are priced under $ 10. They offer 41 Lunch Specials served with choice of rice and choice of appetizer, soup, or soda($ 4.80-$ 5.30) and 28 Special Combination Platters served with pork egg roll and choice of rice($ 5.85-$ 7.50). Also, 2 Drum Sticks are only $ 1. I ordered the L12 Roast Pork Lo Mein($ 4.80 plus tax) with Pork Fried Rice and Hot & Sour Soup, which was ready in about 10 minutes. The portion of food was generous for the low price. However, the pork lo mein dish was very salty tasting, which had lots of roast pork strips, shredded vegetables, and firm noodles. The lo mein would’ve tasted pretty good without the excess soy sauce in the dish. The pork fried rice(golden color) was decent and had a firm texture with roast pork cubes and onions. The hot and sour soup resembled a light brown egg drop soup, which had lots of egg, tofu, mushrooms, big pork pieces, vegetables, and bamboo in a mildly spicy broth. Overall, the food was okay, and very filling to eat. I definitely needed a huge ice cold Diet Pepsi with this lunch.(2.75 stars) DELIVERY: $ 12 minimum order
