Stopped here to get a quick bite after a long drive. In reading other Unilocal reviews of this place, I had no idea this was a «questionable» part of town. It seemed okay to me on a snowy evening. The workers were friendly. The inside was clean and seemed well maintained. Lots of selection but our chicken strips would take a three more minutes the server said. He gave us a couple extra biscuits for our trouble.

What an oasis along a «questionble» section of a thoroughfare! Clean, friendly and great tasting!

I was a bit uneasy driving into the heart of the ghetto to get my Popeye’s fix. But luckily my stomach won out over my head. Very clean location, friendly staff, quick service. Would definitely go back.

I love Popeye’s! I started eating here a few months ago and consider it a real treat for myself when I stop by and pick something up here. There are tables inside to eat at, or you can pick something up at the drive thru. What I love about Popeye’s is that you get really nice pieces of chicken with a lot of meat on them. If you want fried chicken, they offer cajun or plain flavored. My personally enjoy getting the chicken strips. They are so meaty, unlike pieces you often get at other fast food establishments. There are plenty of sides to go along with your meals, including cajun fries, cajun rice, mac & cheese, and mashed potatoes, to name a few. Many of their foods are«cajun» to add that Louisiana flair to it. The biscuits that come with the meal I can honestly say are the best I’ve ever had at a fast food establishment. Meals can be a little pricey depending on what you get, but they do offer a bunch of great cheap deals, sometimes good a certain day of the week. It is definitely worth the price!
