Albany, NY
Proctors began as a vaudeville theatre in 1926, now features Broadway shows, film festivals, and special events. I mostly attend film showings at Proctors, and recently attended the Breakfast Club followed by Molly Ringwald Q&A session. It’s a great venue for films, huge screen, great sound and they offered beer, wine, and cocktails for purchase to enjoy during the show. I will be seeing The Lion King in April and I can’t wait to see it at Proctor’s!

Proctors theater is an absolutely beautiful venue! We attended Rodgers and Hammersteins Cinderella last night. We had balcony seats but a lovely view, I honestly don’t think there could be a bad seat in the house. They offered wine, beer, soda, and water, prices were expensive but no unexpected. The venue has beautiful architecture and we had a great experience. We plan to come back soon!

One of the highlights of the Schenectady area. This is a wonderful venue to come and watch a play or show. Last time I came here was to see Beauty and the Beast, which was a great show. Prior to the show we walked around and saw many historical facts and cool articles about Proctors! There are many events going on year round, definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.

I’ve been coming here for over 30 years– hard to believe. It’s been through so many improvements over this time.
Tonight I saw «Matilda.» This is a sweet story adapted from a children’s book. Basically, every one of us wants to know our parents love us. Unfortunately, that isn’t what happens for everyone, but sometimes, sometimes, other adults can love us LIKE parents, even better than our actual biological ones. Life can still have a happy ending even if it didn’t have a happy beginning.
My favorite part? The swings!

Proctors is a wonderful venue in Schenectady, NY. I love that there is so much theater in our town. It is a former vaudeville house that has Broadway shows, comedy acts & musical productions. We went to Motown story of producer Berry Gordy… Great music, great singers, great night!

I went here for Impractical Jokers and the seats were amazing! Very comfortable and the décor was beautiful! The candy was a bit pricey, but that is my only negative side to this place! I would definitely go again, this place is amazing!

Proctor’s needs to address problems with their website. It seems that more often than not, when I try to buy tickets online, I receive an error message. This has happened several times now, and when I purchase those tickets via the box office on the phone, they’ve waived the ‘convenience’ fee, or as I call it, the inconvenience fee. However, today, after buying my tickets, the box office rep said he couldn’t do that for me. It is exactly this nickel and diming that frustrates customers, and these two shows will be my last at this venerable theater. There are too many other options with either more functional websites, or more understanding customer service representatives…

Proctors has a nice setup that makes every seat a good seat for viewing the performance. The seats were a bit tight but doesn’t take away from event. Now the show we saw was OUTSTANDING!!!

Alexandria, VA
The balcony view is the best! Not only do you get a birds eye view, but you get to experience the gorgeous architecture of this very antique and chic building. Love it.
