You expect little from any restaurant at a Oasis. Very very little. It’s food-court mall«food,» so why bother, right? Grab and go, back on the road. Jaffa Bakery is really, really good! I’ll put them next to my favorite Middle east favorites any day. The falafel were light and flavorful, the chicken shawarma was so juicy and good, and the chicken kebab! Perfection! Get the combo plate and make your mouth very happy. And ask for the red sauce on the side. It’s not spicy hot, but it’s tangy, spiced, and has an orange aftertaste that is a perfect compliment to the kebab. Fresh, delicious, and delightful!

I was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was here. If only because its a restaurant in an overpass. You typically expect much quality from oasis food places, after all they are littered with KFCs, McDonald’s and Taco Bell’s. But I needed something to eat and had some time to kill before I made my airport pick up so I gave this place a try. It was very good. I got a felafel wrap, which is kind of misleading as it was a typical felafel«sandwich» in a pita and not something crazy and new in a giant tortilla. Either way it was delicious. I got mine with some baba ganoush thrown in and a little hot sauce. And I have to say that it was some of the better felafel that I have had in quite some time. The lady behind the counter was very friendly as well. It was just her and there were two people in line in front of me, but she kept apologizing for the wait and felt so bad that she gave me the extra piece of felafel i asked for for free. So I bought a cookie, I don’t know if they were homemade or store bought but the strawberry/cherry she didn’t know which was which cookie was awesome. If you are going to eat at this oasis then you should eat here. Prices are reasonable, the food is good and it’s not Taco Bell. What more could you ask for? Fun Fact: Elephants are the only mammals that can’t jump.

Everyone behind the counter is nice. I’ve come here several times and had the breakfast sandwich. They make it on the spot and put it on yummy fresh croissant. Pretty cheap for being fresh too. Today I stopped in an had some delicious soup. The baklava is to die for. Prices are decent considering the other places here. Freshness is priceless in my book. Falafel is good but I’m not big on that. The fresh squeezed juice is the best!
