This place has some brutal ratings that I don’t believe are warranted. To be honest, I’ve walked by O’Brien’s for at least a decade, if not more, and stopped dozens of times without ever ordering anything. I’ve stood and watched waiting for customers to buy a sandwich to see the quality of meats available and constantly see a growing line at Dunkin Donuts without much action at O’ Brien’s. The bar is sometimes full, but rarely do I see people order a sandwich to go. The lack of photos keeps the suspense high but works against this vendor in regards to drawing customers in. We don’t know if the quality rivals that of Subway or a traditional deli. This time, however, I ordered a sandwich and can relay a few comments. Namely: *Sandwich meats are far better than Subway *Unfortunately, like most true delis would, their bread isn’t baked fresh. You can expect average, grocery store style bread *There’s little value. Price is higher than you’d expect, even in an airport. *The quality is still better than anywhere else in THIS food court. *The meat that comes on the sandwiches isn’t premium deli quality, but meats for a good airport sandwich. Would I come back? Sure. As long as work is paying for the meal. Otherwise, it’s higher priced than I’d be willing to pay — for what you get. I tried a turkey and corned beef, by the way, with no sides. They didn’t look appealing.

My advice, wary traveler… skip this restaurant, I wish I had. I ordered a chicken caesar salad… how hard is that to make? Apparently for these folks, impossible. For $ 11.20 I received a sad, small portion of romaine lettuce, a few semi-raw and flavorless chicken chunks, and some gelatinous goo supposed to pass for dressing. I returned the salad and they swapped me for a cheaper corned beef sandwich. This was better than the salad, but that’s not saying much. The rye bread was on the dry side and the meat sparse. Flavor was about a 4 out of ten. A small, stale pickle accompanied the uninspired sandwich. At least they were nice to me…

If you must eat at an airport, might as well stop here. Suggest eating at the bar as the bartenders are very attentive and you get to watch the world walk by. Not the best sandwiches, but certainly beats MacDonalds!

I got a Chicago style dog to-go. The hot dog was good(I wish all hot dogs came with pickles and peppers) but it was definitely not worth $ 7. I’d go elsewhere next time I’m passing through ORD.

I think based on other reviews that management has changed. There were three of us that loved the food and the service. Ricardo was the best service provider I have had in a long time. The only gripe is that the drinks are super expensive and the place needs more seating. Hot dogs were great and so was the Cajun chicken sandwich. Every time someone walks in, the entire crew welcomes them and tries to accommodate as best as possible. I am a legit review, and would gladly return.

Well, actually, negative 1 star. While waiting for our flight on St. Patrick’s day weekend, being in the spirit of it, we decided to have a beer and eat there. I wanted to eat a traditional fish and chips or corn beef sandwich, shepards pie with a Guinness. They didn’t serve any of it. What kind of «Irish“named bar doesn’t serve Irish beer??? Hey, they had German and Mexican beer there! Well, their version of f&c was something which appeared out of a frozen dinner. I played it safe by ordering a burger. It was served on a paper plate with packets of mayo and mustard on the side, cold potato bun and«DRY» as hell meat. It taste a lot like my company’s picnic burger. My wife said it reminded her of Disneyland burgers. Lol! The service was friendly, but the 2 bartenders were too busy to clean off our table and check on us. I’d avoid this place for food. If it’s «just» a beer, it’s just ok. This place was not worth the $ 10 burgers & $ 8 beers, but then again, it’s the airport where price gouging is ok

Train wreck, expensive, lousy service(rude and slow) food is terrible. Had breakfast, burnt omelette, lousy potatoes, cold in uttered toast. All with a free screw you attitude. Stunned they are still in business.

If you are at the airport, you want to avoid this place. We had a long layover and pulled up a seat at the bar to watch the game. The guy behind the bar, Kent, was rude from the moment we sat down. Even getting menu was a lot of work for him. We each ordered burgers, which according to the menu came with fries, slaw and on a pretzel bun. They came on a regular bun with fries only. When I questioned this they said hey were out of pretzel buns and didn’t have the ingredients to make slaw, though both are on the menu. The burgers were very dry and not good at all. Between the horrible service and horrible food you are better off with fast food in this part of the airport.
