Kolekole Bar and Grill

The good…
The food is decent given the portion sizes are fairly large. The prices are reasonable and given its location it’s a good place to go to if you want to stay on Schofield.
The bad…
It’s usually minimally staffed which means even when the place is empty your food is going to take awhile. On my last visit the staff messed up 3 items on our order which was tolerable but what ruined the service was the waitress bringing our food as she mentioned she was sick. I understand people get sick, but do your best to avoid serving, and please don’t tell you are sick as you place the food on the table. I completely lost my appetite and am doubtful I will return.

So glad for a bar that is in walking distance. They open up early on Sunday’s for football season. Food is okay. Been here a few times and they have daily specials. Service however is great. Waiters are good about refills and are very accommodating.
Located inside post on Schofield Barracks. Across the street from the inn. Parking is always easy and convenient. Prices are fairly cheap.

We really enjoyed the Mongolian meal night!!! The food was excellent, very affordable. Robin was our waitress and she proved all of the critics on here wrong! Great service!!! Thank you.
Update: second time here. Taco Tuesday!!! Fantastic. Kim our waitress was outstanding.

Very subpar food and terrible service. Chicken tenders were not completely cooked through and at the salad bar, everything was at room temperature. Would not recommend and I will not be back.

Ok so they do not have dedicated bar service at lunch. Little confusing to get inside or how it’s supposed run. The bar is open but no dedicated bar tender.

Good good, great prices! They have a lot of different options I always get the aloha wrap it’s so yummy. The chipotle sauce is a tad spicy for me so I get it on the side. There Kalua pork quesadilla is amazing as well as their fish and chips
Service is spotty sometimes it’s great some times it’s slow.

Pretty damn good food and environment. Only reason it doesn’t get a 5 is bc of the drunk military guys that come later at night.

Was horrible. Went in for there special that came with a baked potatoe. Sat down and order meal for 6 people. About 20 minutes after being seated and placing order they inform us that they are out of potatoes but can make us some mashed potatoes. We decline offer and deal with it. After everyone received their meal we asked where out 3 yr olds meal was and it never came out. They weren’t even busy.

The food is mediocre at best and not worth the price. I went one night to enjoy a beer and relax but they were closed when I asked the front desk at the inn why this is the response. «They don’t have enough workers so they open and close whenever.» So between the crappie inn and this joke of a bar and grill it makes a great impression for people just coming here but if you’ve been here a while you’re used to thw horrible service AND laziness!

Great place to get a few drinks and some decent food. This place wouldn’t be as amazing if it wasn’t for Natalya! The quesadilla and chicken fingers are my favorite.

Pretty much marginal food all the time. Very consistently bad. Especially everything. Oh yeah, I almost forgot, my coworker had plastic wrap on his cheese located in his cheeseburger. The cooks are really bad…

Check the buffet online before you go, it’s different every day.
The food is normally excellent

Just ate here tonight since we are at the Inn. I always get the salad bar. It’s pretty basic, but better then having to eat fried foods. My hubby got the chicken wings and fries which looked good. We eat here every once in awhile and the service is always good.

Nice quiet place to grab dinner especially when staying in the near by hotel. Nothing too special not bad either. Great with kids and great weekly deals!

Been here twice. The fish taco doesn’t taste good at all. We went back the second time and ordered the margarita chicken w pico de gallo and cilantro, and it took forever for it to come out. When it finally arrives, it has no pico or cilantro. It was just a bland chicken for $ 12.95! I ordered chicken tender w rice for my son and got chicken w fries instead. Will never go back! I should’ve just cooked the dinner myself.

I feel sorry for the place honestly first time I went I have what was supposed to be Alfredo and it was so oooo nasty it was a soup of sauce and few noodles. The second and last time I called before hand to see if they were open and packed with people etc. Needless to say no one answered and the voicemail was full we get there and there were three people at the bar that’s it. Waited to be seated finally seated ourselves someone got drinks and food took forever. Our waitress never refilled our drinks and the manager never tried to help the situation. I thought I would give it another chance hoping they had an off day but obviously they suck at their job.

When I first moved to Hawaii this was the first place I went to eat since my hotel was right down the road.
Overall this was not a bad place. The food was average and typical but the service was OUTSTANDING.
If you live on post with nowhere to go this is a decent spot to hit up.

I’ve now eaten from here on three occasions. One a dine in experience and twice for take out. My dine in experience although the service was top notch the salad that I ordered was perhaps one of the worst salads that I have most recently encountered. I ordered the Greek Salad with grilled chicken. What came out was basically lettuce which had some tomatoes, onions and cucumbers haphazardly placed on top and a dried out unseasoned piece of chicken breast on it. I then had to ask for feta and dressing. The salad was not tossed or dressed and it was just not good. It lacked seasoning, and the general appeal of a Greek Salad.
The following day since I had a Pintrest Crockpot fail and I had no food at work I decided to give them another try since I can work there from work and took a Chicken Cesar Salad to go. It was like ordering from a completely different restaurant. The salad was well dressed, flavorful and the chicken was juicy and moist.
Very confusing.

The Kolekole has undergone some menu changes since I have been stationed here. The menu has tried to progress toward the family-​oriented grill side and less the bar-​food side. All I really noticed is that they added some new menu items and increased the price over all. One of their best items (Kalua Pork Quesadillas) has been removed.
Overall, the drink prices aren’t terrible — beer pitchers are on the expensive side. I’d like to see some really good drink specials. The bar seems to be doing fine, as every time I’m in, there is a junior-​officer gathering going on.
The service at the bar is very good. The table service is questionable — and the outside seating service is terrible. This is a convenient location, being on post and all. But the customer service needs to be stepped up if they are really going to function as a family-​dinner kind of place.

The restaurant in appearance is great and very inviting but they have much to be desired in their food. We don’t mind waiting for good food but when it takes that long for food that tastes like cardboard and is cold is such a let-​down.
Don’t waste your time unless you’re coming for drinks. They’re delish!
