I love this place but the coffee isn’t hot. People and service is great. Easy to park and run in. Iced coffee is particularly delicious.

I think the pink cup is such a cute touch, but I have to say that to me what matters is the coffee. Unfortunately Marylou’s coffee is not good. There are not great places to pick from in Scituate, and I was hoping this one would be good, but the coffee doesn’t have a great taste and the preparation doesn’t come from people who understand coffee.

I can’t tell you how good the coffee is, you HAVE to try it for yourself !! The Iced Twix & Iced Almond Joy are delicious. They have tons of flavors and highlight specials all the time. You have to go to Marylous !!

A decent coffee place. If you like flavored coffees you may well like Mary Lou’s more than I do. They always have young attractive ladies behind the counter and do a good job. The chain is expanding from the South Shore to northern RI. They have really good baked goods and pastries

Ere are many things I miss about Scituate and Mary Lou’s is in the top 10! Their coffee KILLS other chains in the area and their iced coffee are like magical elixirs that make your day so much better. When I lived in Scituate, I’d stop by daily and now that we’re in NC, it’s a must-stop during our visits. Who can resist great coffee in a pink cup?

Marylou’s is a South Shore phenomenon, and every time I come home and make the road trip down from Boston, I usually have at least 2 – 3 friends that want to come with me so we can stop here for coffee, and another 2 – 3 friends who want me to bring some back for them. I’ve been coming here since High School when I used to stop every morning on my way in. The thing that differentiates Marylou’s from any other coffee shop is their extensive list of «specialty coffees.» You might argue that they aren’t actually coffee since god knows what goes into them, but to have a Girl Scout Cookie flavored coffee, or a Twix, a Snickers, or an Almond Joy coffee is such a different experience that you can’t help but enjoy it. Even if weird flavored coffee isn’t your thing, they have a whole slew of regular flavored coffees made just how you like it. I haven’t seen any Marylou’s North or West of Boston, so it’s something that the South Shore can say they have to themselves(and the two in R. I I think). It’s such a townie place that you can’t help but fall in love with it. Early morning you have the grumpy old men off to work, then a little later you’ll have the commuters dashing in before the train, and then the High School kids who think they’re so cool getting coffee before homeroom, and then the soccer moms on their way home. It’s so reliable, but still so welcoming. And I think it’s the only acceptable way to walk around with a drink with the trademark pink straw. I’ll make the trip home just for Marylou’s. Once you try it, you’ll agree, it’s worth the trip!
