I should have heeded the prior comments about this Uhaul! Went to get refill on a propane tank and asked attendant to only fill it half way! When he filled canister full and I asked him why he smiled and said he didn’t hear me! And then he said, it’s less than $ 20! I asked for the manager and the attendant pointed to a business card! Clearly had done that before! If I had cash I would have given him $ 10 and left. I will be writing to «the business card» and UHaul! Don’t use this location unless you have no other options!

I wish I could give this place zero stars. I rented a trailer from here and confirmed the rental before I left my house. When I got there, the trailer was still out being used. And when the guy called the previous renters they said they wouldn’t have it back till the following day. Well, I needed it right then! The guy blamed me and said«this never happens.» So as I stood there called a bunch of other uhaul stores in the area he barely did a thing. Then before we left he changed the story to «this happens all the time» seriously!!! Wtf?!? I would never go there again!

DONOTGOHERE! Had hitch and wiring installed by general manager. He short circuited my car’s electrical system and couldn’t drive the car off the ramp AND I still did not have functioning hitch wires. He denied all fault even though my car is still on his ramp not functioning. I had to take to a car dealer and found he pinched factory wire and the Uhaul manager still denied any fault for 2 days. Finally Uhaul corporate handled the situation and found him at fault and reimbursed me for repairs. Manager gave false information to me on how to proceed with complaint and tried intimidating me by saying that anything I do will cost me more money… repairs, lawyers, etc. That is when I spoke to Uhaul corporate office. Got hitch wiring installed at other Uhaul site correctly. Thanks Uhaul corporate and no thanks Scotch Plains Uhaul.

This is my first time dealing with U-haul, the manager is okay, nothing to brag about. When I went to place my order I was charged extra for something I didn’t order. They seemed to have corrected the issue, after I called complaining twice. The only employee I can say great things about is Calvin. He helped me pick all of the boxes needed for my move, helped me take them to my car, and was such a pleasant and knowledgeable employee. I probably would not go back to this U-haul. Overall I wasn’t satisfied with the customer service from the manager, or the woman who placed my order.
