Greasewood Flat, you will be sorely missed! This was among my absolute favorite spots in the state of Arizona! Living just down the street, the sound of live music coming around the mountain always gave us a great feeling! It was our«go to» Sunday afternoon spot and THE place to bring out of town guests. It is a shame that they leveled the entire property for a new housing development. Boo City of Scottsdale!

We had the opportunity to be at Greasewood Flat on their last open day. It was our 3rd time there and each time it was a unique and wonderful experience. The food is great, the drinks are reasonable, and the people couldn’t be friendlier. With the live music and dancing in an outdoor old wild west setting, there is no place else like this on Earth! it will truly be missed. There are rumors that they may re-open at a new location. If that is true, we will be there on opening day!

I know that it’s closing… I’d much rather be at the Four Seasons, which is surrounding it. Food not so much. Music not either.

This was the low point of our week long stay in Scottsdale. It’s a good thing this place is closing. Not only is it dirty and the food meh(as other reviewers have noted), but we had a horribly racist experience. It was shocking. If they weren’t going to close, we’d report it. As it is, we are just letting other Unilocalers know, because it is totally unacceptable in this day and age.

This is a really cool outdoor venue, live music, dancing or just hanging out with a cold beer and burgers. Peoples are cool and come from everywhere. Nice place to chill for sure, I will be back.

The food was just meh. There is so much good to great food in the area, eat first then come here for drinks and the music. There is a difference between rustic and dirty. This place is just dirty. Bathrooms where DISGUSTING. It could be because it’s closing and the owners don’t care anymore. If you want the same type of place that is clean with better food go to San Tan Flat.

The food was worth the wait! Stood in line for 45 minutes but was distracted by the entertainment and ease of socializing. Had a couple of local brews and ordered their famous Bacon Green Chile Cheese Burger. WARNING, all of the burgers are ½ pound so you better be in the mood for some serious chowing down. So sad this place is closing its doors in less than a month from now. The land is owned by the state and will be up for auction.

This is my go to place when I feel like enjoying a burger, cold beer and some country music. For me this place is about the ambiance. Watching dad dancing with his little girls and seeing old friends catch up. I’ve been creating memories here for years and if it’s true that it is closing than my heart will feel heavy. I’ve celebrated here, been in love here and witnessed beautiful sunsets at Greasewood. This is by far my favorite sleazy, boot wearin, joint. Very few places offer this type of laid back feel.

The food is nothing special. However, a place like this you aren’t going for the food. You are going for the great atmosphere(dancing and live music). That being said it gets five stars for that. Be sure to bring cash though!!! NOCREDITCARDS! However, its a shame this place won’t be around much longer. I remember coming to this place when visiting Scottsdale as a kid.

I was torn between a 3 and 4 star, as the place is fun. We came hear Saturday with friends after hiking. No issue w needing to dress up, as the theme is bikers, Cowboys, dust, and beer. Grab a picnic table and bring cash as there is no credit cards taken here. My green chile cheeseburger w bacon was good, but not quite good enough to give it 4 stars. The local AZ beer selection was fun, and anyplace that offers PBR in a can… well you gotta go at least once!

Great experience atmosphere, their house special burger was good, messy but good. Your wife has to like and be able to eat at «dives» in order to take her to enjoy it with you, but if she is good with them then go & you will have a great time.

Such a marvelous place! Sadly it won’t be around for much longer. :-( We went there for my wife’s company Christmas Party and had just a wonderful experience. Fire pits everywhere, super cool 1800s/1900s décor and some very good food. Words cannot really begin to describe this place! A must see in the Phoenix Area before it closes! I think I read it closes in March 2015. Someone mentioned that the original owners kids were selling it to a land developer. Such a shame.(Not sure about the truth behind that, but very believable) I had a burger right off the grill, and it didn’t disappoint. My wife really enjoyed her veggie burger. Sides were very good as well. A few bars scattered around the property with lots of different beers and cocktails. They even had a nice live band playing. Sort of a Rockabilly sound to it.

In town from Indianapolis and went there for 1.5 hours late afternoon(4p). Great attraction. Sad to hear this Scottsdale landmark is closing it’s doors late March ’15. My wife and I took our 17 month old there with us yesterday to experience the music and scenery. We have been going there for years. the food is good and the beer choices are extensive. Friendly staff and a crowd full of people who are out to have a good time. I highly recommend you giving it a shot if you’re in the area.

Love this place so much! It’s such a fun country-style outdoor(and indoor) bar/hangout/food spot. I always get the chili, coleslaw, or beans-which is dirt cheap and still delicious! They always have a guy playing guitar and singing original twangy tunes. They have horseshoes and lots of seating-I’ve never been here at night but I’m sure it’s a good time. Our bartender Mary was a sweetheart and treated us to a sample of some rum chata + fireball which tasted like a shot of cinnamon toast crunch. There are some adorable donkeys and horses on the way in, so drive slowly!

Such a great place to bring out of towners on a beautiful AZ breezy day. Great green chili cheeseburgers!!! They have animals… donkeys, roosters & baby rattlers. Live music on the weekends. Big biker bar. Lots of seating & parking. I wouldn’t recommend driving home, having had to many adult beverages bc police patrol the area a lot. Yeeee Hawwww!

Sign the #Petition!!! Save Greasewood Flats! #Sign the petition to keep a bar that has been around since the 1930’s alive. A traditional #cowboy watering hole that brings tourists, bikers, and locals together for live #country #western #music all in one. #Scottsdale is either moving them or closing them down.

This is like a little mini western town so it was really cool in that aspect. I did enjoy that part of it, however each saloon has different drink prices which is odd since it’s the smallest little western town I’ve ever seen. The one to the right is cheapest per my friends. They had some great live music playing in the center stage. Supposedly they have the best burgers so I had to try one. It was pretty decent it was not bad, it was nothing special either. I got the bacon green chili burger. My friend also ordered a cup of their chili with cheese on top and that wasn’t bad either it was also mediocre. Overall I enjoyed the nice little pit stop in this quaint little western town and having a drink with some great tunes and friends was fun.

Party in the woods. This place is quite far up in North Scottsdale or Pinnacle Peak area, but it is a placed that is housed in an 130 year old bunkhouse and there are mostly good qualities about the legendary establishment. We went on a Friday night, but the bouncer said it was unusually slow for this night. 1. Rolling Rocks are only $ 2 inside(credit Ok) 2. Other Draft beers outside are $ 5(cash only) 3. Two burgers took 25 minutes to come out of small kitchen. They were good($ 8.50) and cooked to order, but nothing makes them famous nor would I place it in my top 10 list. Plus, get a fryer installed, chips are pretty boring. 4. The money hanging all over the walls and ceilings are great and memorable. 5. Lots of areas to sit and hang out and no cover. 6. Not a bar/pickup place, mostly groups and tourist families on this night Pretty much everybody needs to have a beer here once or twice. Worth the drive.

Greasewood Flat is Americana, cowboys, and peacefullness. Greasewood makes you think that this is what Arizona was meant to be… not pavement and Scottsdale. The burgers are juicy, but it’s really the band, the firepits and the people that make this a true Arizona icon. I took my parents here while they were in town from Washington and it was BYFAR the highlight of their trip. I am just bummed that I am moving in two months and I just NOW discovered it.
