Everyone here is so incredibly nice, patient, and helpful. I always have a great experience and the selection is top-notch. I consider myself a casual comic reader, but they always have fantastic recommendations and have helped me expand my horizons. I live almost 30 miles away, but gladly drive that distance to come here.

This store is amazing. I go there so much they know me by name. Great selection of new comics, old comics, kids comics, graphic novels, and action figures. The service is great, staff friendly and always happy to help in any way possible. If you love comics and are in the Scranton area, stop in and tell Dave, Josh says hi.

I’ve been shopping here for years! It’s the best comic store ever! Dave, the owner is always very helpful and extremely knowledgeable about his comics. Matt and the rest of the staff are excellent, too! Thank you!

Comics On the Green is located three blocks from the Mall at Steamtown(where we parked) and a block from the Lackawanna County Courthouse, so it’s not hard to find. They have both a street and indoor entrance. The shop is not overly large and appears to have been two smaller shops merged into one. They had a large stock of new books on several shelves. LARGE well stocked selection of Graphic novels spread across several bookshelves. The shop stocked a decent amount of longboxes from various eras with a wide variety of titles including a few budget boxes. Side room of the store had a nice selection of various toys and collectables, but they don’t stock many gaming items like Magic The Gathering or HeroClix. Shop had significant foot traffic during my visit. Owner was busy but friendly. Comics On the Green is a really solid shop making great use of an oddly shaped space. 2016 update: Due to the closure of another shop in Central PA, this is now the best shop in Eastern/Central PA outside of the Allentown and Harrisburg metro areas, so I’ve changed my rating to five stars.

Excellent selection. I am not a comic book person, but my husband is and I almost had to physically drag him out of there. He was giddy with the diverse selection and knowledge of the staff. He wants to live in Scranton now, simply for the comic shop.

The last surviving comic book store in NEPA. That I like anyway. The staff and owner is awesome, the selection is amazing, and the can get you almost anything. Also they have awesome deals. I just scored Action Heroes archives vol 2 a $ 75 book for $ 19.95. And 22% off Tuesdays on TPBs I can’t pass it up. This is my new comic shop. And will be my forever comic shop.

A great comic shop in downtown Scranton. The owner was super nice and knows what he’s talking about. I went in looking for a rather obscure graphic novel to give as a gift and with very little information on my part he knew exactly what I was looking for. When purchasing for myself the action figure selection always impresses me.

My favorite comic shop ever and I’ve been to a lot. Dave and his staff carry a very wide selection of comics, figures and collectibles. If it’s not there they’ll do their best to order it for you. Always friendly and personable. If I lived closer i would be there every Wednesday.

I live in Philly and I absolutely love coming to Comics on the Green every time I come to Scranton to visit. The staff is superbly friendly and knowledgable. Although Philly has some good shops, I would easily put Green ahead of any of them. Furthermore, I travel quite a bit and I very rarely enjoy a shop this much. A true gem.

Very cool comic shop near the courthouse in downtown Scranton. Owner is friendly and has a great selection of back issues, TPBs and action figures. The first time I stopped by, I noticed the smell of old paper that is unique to comic shops; it’s not an offensive smell by any means but rather a scent I associate with the best of comic shops and used book stores.

The only place I’ll go in Scranton for comics and radical action figures! I got like 3 Doctor Who figures for less than $ 20! they have a giant Silver Surfer statue which is cool to stare at for a long time, friendly staff and they also carry some local comic books, which is cool. The one guy also knows a lot about bass guitar, which comes in handy if you want to buy comics and talk about Flea
