Visited this place regularly over the past couple months. Great service, awesome food, and chill atmosphere. Definitely can say this is my favorite Thai place in the area… spice levels are on point… texture and taste are equally as impressive. Definitely recommend.

This is the most authentic thai restaurant that I’ve visited in the U.S. The ingredients are all super fresh, delivered from New York directly(we’ve seen it!), and the spices and herbs are put together deliciously. The owner is a sweetheart — while chatting about the food, he brought us the leaves they used for the curry and we even got an additional very traditional desert that was actually just done by the crew for themselves. I highly recommend the curries, and also especially the«drunken noodles»! I always look at the interior which in this case is high end but not over-decorated, and the whole place is spotless clean, too. All that comes with a genuine, outstanding hostility. We visit family in Scranton regularly and we will be back at this wonderful restaurant!

Took a pit stop here before heading back home and the name sounded oddly familiar. Why? Because I’ve been to the one in Bethlehem, PA! This is 1 of 3 locations they have within the surrounding areas. I recommend visiting them. It wasn’t too busy when we arrived, it was right before dinnertime around 4:30 but it was nicely decorated and had a ton of seating. Unless they have a huge party I think you could get sat any day. The waiter was nice but a little odd. When we mentioned we go to the Bethlehem he seemed fumbled about the locations and confused. Nice, but not a real«people-person» like most waiters. I ordered the Pad-See-Ew vegetarian and a bubble tea to-go. My +1 ordered drunken noodles. The waiter told me when we were ready to go he would get my bubble tea ready, it was really strange because he made it right after I ordered it and let it sit back there until we were ready to leave. We were the only people there who ordered one and he made it before we even got our meal. I find it a little strange to make it before when you say you’ll wait. The food was good, not as good as the other location or mind blowing but good. The bubble tea, I probably wouldn’t order it again. It wasn’t a bubble tea per se, more like a frozen smoothie with bubbles that were rock hard. Not the bubble tea I’m used to experiencing. I definitely say visit this place, it’s not too bad, I don’t recommend a frozen bubble tea unless that’s your thing, then ignore me and order away!

I love it here. The food is always perfect and the staff is very welcoming. If you don’t like spicy food ask to make anything mild and they will. I like spicy food and order everything«medium spicy».

I’ve never actually eaten here, but my boyfriend and I come here quite frequently just for their bubble tea! They are very, very nice whenever we come in, and the place is very clean. I love the Thai tea and he loves the mocha. I’d like to try the food here soon too!

I ordered a meal that said on the menu it came with soup. «Lunch served with soup du jour.» I arrived to pick up my meal and there was no soup. When I asked about the whereabouts of said soup, the host fumbled for an excuse saying it was«eat in only» for soup inclusion. It doesn’t say this anywhere on the menu. After I showed him that the menu said soup included, he mumbled«customer soup» a few times in an obvious effort to frustrate me. Mission accomplished!

The atmosphere and décor are very nice, and the staff is friendly. There is one waitress that is often there and just one of the sweetest people. The food is great, and if you like spicy, you’ll definitely have to convince the staff it’s ok to make your meal spicy. My favorite is the kee mao dishes and all of the bubble tea(this was the first Asian restaurant after the Vietnamese place closed to have Bubble tea which in itself is amazing).

I ventured away from my usual drunken noodles and sampled the yellow curry. I asked for medium spice but didn’t have much kick. I ate the whole thing but did not have the yummy curry goodness I was hoping for… Calamari appetizer was not as crispy as I like either… Service is great and fast. I think I’ll revisit neighbor Thai joint next time for a showdown.

Having always visited Thai Rak Thai to get my Thai fix, this was my first time at Thai Thai. I was there for a birthday dinner with a large group of people. The staff did a great job of handling the large party. The Thai salad is huge and delicious. I had pad Thai which was also fantastic. Overall great experience.

I had the Tom Yum chicken soup(the large hot pot order), the vegetarian spring rolls, the dumplings, and the pineapple bubble tea. Everything was really tasty. The spring rolls especially stood out for their exquisitely well done filling of fresh stringy vegetables and the light crispy wrapper. The Tom Yum soup didn’t blow me away but I liked how simple and fresh it felt in comparison to some other thai places where it seems like a chaotic, angry bowl of spicy soup. This Tom Yum was like a serene hot spring of deliciousness. The atmosphere felt fancy without being overly so. The only thing that would keep me from going back as frequently as I’d like to is how quickly the bill can mount to a «Oh, I didn’t want to pay that much…» figure. Try it out!

A good choice for interesting and tasty food. The drunken noodles were pretty good. The crispy duck was tasty. The sauce tasted like it would go good on anything like mashed potatoes. The winner was the appetizer curry puff. Very tasty with the cucumber sauce which was more like honey. If we were around longer we would have liked to try their curry dishes. Very friendly staff and clean restaurant. Overall very good food if your wandering around downtown Scranton.

Super friendly wait staff and hostess. I had steamed mussels for appetizers and drunken noodles with chicken. My steamed mussels tasted fresh from water and the aroma from the lemon grass, red onion, and fresh basil were incredible. I love the dipping sauce with it too. My main dish drunken noodles were very rich and flavorful. Only negative for me is no adult beverage on the menu. :-(

Big fan of both the location in Scranton and Wilkes-barre. It really is the best Thai around. Food is always fresh, restaurant is clean and the waitstaff is attentive. It is BYOB so come prepared. Try the duck dishes. Even if you have tried duck in the past and did not like it, these preparations may change your mind. The curry dishes and drunken noodles are also always big hits. A nice place for an intimate date or for a group of friends before a wild night in downtown. (See my review for the WB location for more details: )

I loved the dinner I had here. Our evening was marked by generous portions of both food and boba, an actually reliable spice rating, and friendly service. We tried an assortment of dishes including the pad thai, drunken noodles and several types of curries. The pad thai seems to be the weakest offering and we were underwhelmed by both the veggie version we tried in the restaurant as well was the chicken versions we ordered to go for friends. I would definitely recommend Thai Thai to Thai Rak Thai around the corner.

Love it! So much better then Thai Rak Thai down the street. The staff here are so friendly and they don’t make you feel that you are being rushed out so the can turn the table over. The food is fresh and they do a great job. I have enjoyed many of their dishes, but my favorite is the crispy basil duck. If you are looking for Thai food, this is the best in the area.

Love Thai food, ate it all the time when I lived in NYC, live in Philly now and there just aren’t enough Thai restaurants in my hometown! I work in Scranton a couple days a week. I’ve eaten at Thai Thai twice and Thai Rak Thai twice. I vote for Thai Thai. The food is fresher and tastes better, the atmosphere is… tidier. Not sure if that’s the right word, but I like the décor better. The first time I went, it was their grand opening and their«happy birthday» was so loud that it scared me. Hopefully they’ve toned it down a bit! Went for lunch today(lunch special is $ 7.99 and includes a mostly-broth, tasty soup) and there was only 1 other person in there. Scranton-ites, you’re missing out! Go check this place out!
