This review is for Jen! She is the absolute best! My favourite thing is walking in with an idea and letting her work her color and cutting magic! She’s been doing my hair for over 7 years and I wouldn’t dream of letting anyone else touch it!

This review is for Tricia. She is amazing and does a really great job! Her prices are super reasonable and she’s very accommodating. The salon is very nice and there’s none of that snippy gossip going on. Tricia cuts and colors my hair, but in the past she’s also done hair extensions for me. She does amazing extensions and, again, her prices are extremely reasonable. I highly recommend Tricia!

I LOVE Stacey D! She has been doing my hair for about 10 years and I have NEVER walked out unhappy. Even on the days that I walk in feeling frumpy and can’t figure out what to do with my hair… she just knows… and does it :)

I go to Trisha and I just LOOOOVE her! The salon is also super cute and I love the décor and ambiance. I have followed Trisha when she moved from another salon and I must say I like this one so much better! It is very relaxing and intimate.

This review is for Ana Marie at Salon Shag.
Ana Marie is the best hair stylist. She always makes the highlights look so natural and the cut is great too. I have been going to her for years and even though I moved out of the area, I wouldn’t think of going anywhere else. She’s not only very talented but also so friendly and personable. Salon Shag has a great atmosphere and I highly recommend them.

I go to Stacey at Salon Shag. She is a wonderful Hair Stylist. I have been coming to Stacey for several years, but the last four years I moved out of the area. I moved back just a couple of weeks ago and my first call was her. I have a lot of services for my hair from Stacey. She is great at color and highlights, cuts. style. I also get the Brazilion Blowouts from her. Love her. The salon is very nice and very comfortable.

Ashley is the best… I agree. I use her Epicurean and Jan Marini products and I love them. Dermabrasion… great. Skin Tightening Epicurean facials also great! Go see her at Salon Shag in Seal Beach.
Michelle Trentini does a fab cut and color as well! LOVE IT!

This review is for Ashley’s Day Spa inside Salon Shag.
I’ve been going to Ashley for over 4 years now and she is THE BEST! I get microdermabrasion facials and lash extensions. Ashley’s room is set up like a spa treatment room… it’s so pretty and soothing… always a candle lit and relaxing music. On top of that Ashley is very knowledgeable and is so sweet and will always give you the best advice about skincare, beauty and makeup. (she is also a rad MUA)!
Her facials leave my skin looking amazing. She uses Epicuren and Eminence (organic) products which are really good. I ask for full extractions because she always gets everything out (gross, I know… but you have to!). My lash extensions always look awesome! They are very full and long but still look very natural. I always get compliments on them and people say that they are the best lash extensions they’ve seen :) Also, Ashley is super fast at applying them, which is great!
I would definitely recommend Ash for any of her services… she’s THE BEST! :)

I was referred to Salon Shag and Michelle Trentini for hair styling approximately one year ago by a friend and will never see another hairdresser, God willing. She is absolutely one step beyond Up To Date, Color is GREAT along with cuts and styling. I have referred my best friend who absolutely loves it. It is a wonderful little upstairs salon and when you walk out of there you feel as stylish as the salon itself!

I go here for Ashley Kim! She is the best!!! I go to her for eyelash extensions, makeup, waxing, and the most amazing facials!!! just everything she does is amazing! She is the sweetest woman ever and takes care of all of her clients like they are her best friends! I would recommend her to anyone!

Okay…let me first tell you that Ashley is the BEST!!! I swear by her and often have panic attacks thinking about the day she moves or closes her business or something that would stop me from visiting her every two weeks! I have been going to her for about one year and am still a very happy camper!
Now let me tell you how fabulous she is in regards to her personal service… she will come in at 5:00 AM on any day to fit me and my friends/​relatives in!
Ashley does facials, waxing (of ALL areas), makeup artistry, and my favorite, eyelash extensions. I haven’t utilized her facial and waxing services as of yet but am planning to very soon. She has done my makeup and I loved it! She also does makeup artistry for print ads so you know she’s the best! She truly is an artist!
Ashley is the eyelash extension QUEEN! And I love her! As do several of my friends and relatives. She designs YOUR lashes to look natural and beautiful on YOU! There isn’t a one look fits all and it’s amazing how natural they look! If you are thinking about getting lash extensions, I HIGHLY recommend it! But get INDIVIDUAL lashes… not 3 or 4 lashes on a strip but 1 lash individually put on your own lashes! I swear this makes a huge difference in how they look! Put it this way… the lady who threads my eyebrows (obviously she is pretty close to my face) asked me if I had my mom or dad to thank for my long lashes… I laughed and told her it was my esthetician, Ashley!
I had thought long and hard and did a ton of research before hand because, let’s face it, it’s a bit of a financial investment. When I looked into several other places, some of them stated they «RANGED from $ 200 and up» for the initial start up and $ 80 for touch ups (supposedly every 3 – 4 weeks depending). Now the «and up» always scares me because once I have them on and they tell me the final price I’m pretty much at their mercy. This is NOT the case with Ashley! She is up front about her prices ($ 250 initial but mention Unilocal and she will give you 10% off!!!) and her touch ups are only $ 40 so in the long run she is much more cost efficient. Now I get touch ups every 2 weeks because I am picky and like them to be perfect all the time… but that is on me and I would do it even if it cost $ 80 a touch up. Now also look into what KIND of lashes they use AND if they use individual lashes or strips of lashes. Some cheaper places use a strip of 3 or 4 lashes and SAY they are individual but looking at them they look fake and you know why it was so cheap! She uses the best products and my own lashes are still growing underneath and are NOT falling out. Some people use cheap glue and this causes your own lashes to fall out. Ashley only uses the best!
Lashes also have saved me money and time in the long run! Gone are the days of spending a fortune on makeup and makeup remover because with the lashes you don’t need makeup!!! Sure on big nights out I throw on some liner and a bit of shadow but for everyday I don’t use any! Now before if I didn’t use makeup I looked like death warmed over but with the lashes I really don’t need any. Talk about a time saver!
And in this super long review, have I mentioned that I love Ashley?!?

Lovely little salon! Michelle Trentini does a wonderful job and is the only person (anywhere) that I will let touch my hair.
