Waki Sushi

I stopped in just before the close of lunch and sat at the bar for sushi lunch special. Service was very attentive and friendly from waiter to sushi chef. I worked at an old school sushi restaurant close to 30 years ago (!) so I’m a bit of a traditionalist. The sushi here was excellent. The rice was well seasoned and just the right size. The fish was cut properly and everything was very fresh. I wasn’t expecting much but came away pleasantly surprised and very satisfied. I will definitely be back.

First time here, not from the area but came down for a early Father’s Day dinner and wanted something fresh and healthy so we decided to have sushi. Good choice! Glad we came here instead of the not so healthy choice up and down main street Which I do plan on trying next time I’m on the area on a cheat day.
We order 4 different rolls, all of which were good and tasted fresh. We also order a appetizer of some short that was some type of baked fish with mushrooms and other stuff which was good. Then of course a few pieces of sushi to top it off along with a complimentary roll of some sort by the chef that we also enjoyed. Overall experience was good here, nice staff, fresh food, with a nice view of the Main Street. Would like to come back and try some of the other many rolls they have on their menu.

This restaurant houses a quality selection of authentic sushi across a vast menu.
It’s only a few blocks away from Seal Beach, so it’s a great snack after taking a walk along the shore line.

I’ve been coming here for years. Always great service and very good sushi. You have to try the Hollywood Bowl appetizer. It’s a little tough to handle but AMAZING taste. I recommend this place all the time. Great food, great people, and always an enjoyable atmosphere.

Awesome fresh food, nice location, clean (which is most important) try the Mango salmon if you looking for something light with a hint of fruit.

Amazing sushi restaurant! Best flavorful Yaki Soba Ive ever had. The freshest sashimi plate I’ve ever had as well. located in Seal Beach right along the main street where there are tons of things to do.
I will caution you… the parking is very hard to come by since it’s street parking only. Also due to a lot of other businesses in the area it was hard to park. It’s a small restaurant but very clean. And updated. They had tons of choices of beers and my now new favorite Plum Wine.
Prices were very reasonable as well. Only 15 $ for a there sashimi plate that came with 15 pieces of there freshest fish. Which were yellow tail. Albacore tuna, salmon, and reg tuna and some other pieces of fish I don’t remember (refer to pics). It also came with a choice of some rolls on the side either California rolls or spicy tuna rolls.

I tried them Spicy albacore roll & OMG!!! It was amazing, no need for soy sauce or wasabi just eat the roll on its own it was amazing.

This was my husband and my first time here. It was amazing! My husband had a Hawaiian roll and the gold dragon. I had the Alaska roll and the ultra rainbow roll. They were all delicious and service was fast and very attentive. There happy hour was totally worth it and appetizers were on point. We will definitely be returning!

Sushi Rocks, teriyaki rocks, tempura Rocks. Looking for good & reasonably priced. Waki Sushi is where you want to go for lunch or dinner.

Seriously one of the best sushi places in Orange County. Traditional cuts, fresh fish. innovative rolls, and excellent service. …and this, coming from a woman married to a sushi chef. Superior, and the husband agrees! Go and enjoy!

We stumbled upon this place today and really enjoyed it. The Garlic Edamame was great but you need to put soy sauce on it for the complete experience. Everyone was very friendly and the sushi was on point. Surprisingly not over priced for being in such a prime spot. I would definitely come here again and would recommend to anyone.

My friend and I were hanging out in seal beach and looking for a place to eat. We happened to park right in from of the restaurant and decided to give it a try for their lunch special. We walked in around 11:30, we didn’t realize they had just opened. When we went in, we were greeted by the cook. There wasn’t anyone else in the restaurant, but he took a while to get to us, but he apologized saying it was only his second day. He took our order and went to get started on it. 2 minutes after another man came running in and to come and help us. He was the host/​waiter and didn’t realize the cook had already taken care of us. Throughout the meal they were both very friendly and nice.
As for the food, I ordered a chicken teriyaki bowl and my friend order a box with shrimp katsu and gyoza. We were first served a little bowl of miso soup, which was delicious! We were both satisfied with what we ordered. For dessert we ordered banana tempura with green tea ice cream. It was sooooo yummy! If I’m ever in seal beach again, I’ll definitely stop by again!
