Talk about a waste of money. My friend and I went down the multiple bars on the boardwalk. We decided on making a stop at the Beachcomber. What a let down. We ordered two beers from the bartender wearing a terrible Batman shirt«be yourself unless you’re Batman, then be batman» something ridiculous like that. My friend put on some cool music on the jukebox to liven up the place. And quickly the bartender threated to skip our song if the customers started leaving. He basically made us not feel welcome or wanted. We just spent money on drinks and the jukebox just for a terrible experience. My friend told him to skip it. It’s ridiculous. This bartender is a bully and that’s why nobody wants to be there. He obviously does not have regulars and that does not surprise me. I wish he was Batman but since, he’s not he can keep the BeachCOMA to himself. PS why would anyone eat sushi here. Yikes.

Firstly, it’s FREE to get in! The drink that i ordered was SUPERSTRONG which is always a pleasant surprise. The music, ehhh for my taste. But the theme of Seaside is techno music anyway. Good to see no drama, people just dancing around and being bubbly.

Beware of this place!!! I am not from the jersey shore but i came up to stay with family for the weekend. We got in late last night(Friday) and went out to this place immediately after. I used my debit card once at the first floor bar. That was the only time i used the card since arriving here. This morning i got an alert that someone tried to use my card to buy $ 450 worth of stuff at the local home depot here. I took care of it with my bank and called beachcomber and talked to the manager about what happened and why i am certain that this happened at his establishment. He did not take it at all serious and said his employees have been working there 10 years and wouldnt do that and maybe someone read my card through my pocket. To make this more preposterous, the bartender that served me was in her mid 20s so im not sure how she’s been working there for ten years. And i did not have a tab open. I paid for the drinks i ordered signed the check and took my card back. Clearly beachcomber has no intention of looking into what their employees are doing or taking this seriously. Come here at your own risk! God knows i wont be returning.

Classic Jersey shore bar and food joint. Bartenders are awesome and personable. The downstairs crowd can be a complete mish mash of everything from Bayhead preppies to 1% bikers. You never know what you’ll see there. Upstairs tends to have a younger, more clubby crowd. Pizza is currently the best on the Seaside boardwalk. Their sushi is actually quite good, so don’t be afraid to order it if you are in the mood.

That grapefruit beer they have on tap is really good. The food is also really fresh especially the crab legs which is a very generous portion. I gotta say though this place is a cesspool of dirty, foul mouthed, entitled townies who couldn’t be more lame. 5 stars for food and drink. 1 star for seaside heights.

OMGCHEESE-BALLS! They definitely hit the spot. The mussels marinara are great too, not fishy at all. Plus the view upstairs in their outdoor seating can be so relaxing.

Beachcomber!!! Yes I am obsessed with this place! Why? Because it literally has everything. Seafood, sushi, pizza, fried food, sandwiches you name it! I love the sushi, it is literally melt in your mouth good. Pizza is decent, and my mom is obsessed with the king crab legs(the price for these are a bargain) Drink prices here are also highly reasonable. The bartenders and very nice an quick with serving. There are quite a few different bars inside spread throughout this establishment. They also have a patio upstairs with another bar and usually they have a DJ playing. On the weekends you can find a bunch of people dancing around on the rooftop. Downstairs they usually have live bands playing. Me personally… I love coming here on Saturdays at 3pm during the summer to watch The Flying Mueller brothers play! True beach band that really knows how to get the party started! If your in the area, do yourself a favor and stop in!

Great spot within steps from the beach. prices are so cheap but its mostly basic, fried food. Pizza is okay. Crab legs are $ 10. Drinks are very reasonably priced. Dont forget to head upstairs if yorue over 21 and enjoy some live entertainment and a sick view of the ocean. Bathrooms are very clean too!

Went here with a group of friends for no other reason than we wanted to go where Snooki got punched :) Maybe during the Jersey Shore height it was the place to be but its kind of this sad bar now where you’re more likely to find Snooki’s parents hanging out. They did have a cover band that was pretty decent but I can’t imagine I’d ever go out of my way to come to this place again.

I live in seaside every summer, and this is one of my favorite bars! The beer is cheap($ 8 pitchers or $ 1.50 cups of beer), the food is great(amazing cheeseballs, pizza, and sushi!!!), they have great live music that gets everyone dancing, and I love the overall atmosphere. Very open, airy, and fun. Friendly bartenders, friendly owner, and everyone is happy. There is an entire upstairs with a huge tiki bar area, outside seating where you can look out over the boardwalk/beach, and outside dance floor, and a whole downstairs with 3 different bars and a stage. Plenty of bathrooms, which are kept clean. Food counters to order food(the menu is extensive) and they bring it right to you while you sit at the bar. Multiple tvs are on above the bars, displaying different games(or whatever people request to watch). I come here during the day, straight from the beach in my bikini, to drink beer and relax upstairs in the sun and take in the view… And also at night to dance and enjoy the live music and overall entertainment with friends(it can get packed!). Sunday is Sunday Funday(my favorite)— a hilarious DJ takes over the upstairs and tons of drunk people are dancing all day long. I have brought many of my friends to the Beach Comber over the years, and everyone LOVES it! I don’t understand why some(unnamed) well-known OVERPRICED and overcrowded places on the jersey shore are so famous. When this place is amazing!!! My only complaint has to do with the bouncers(there are a lot) — because sometimes they can be pretty rude to customers(for example, I was told by a bartender that they were staying open until 3am, but a bouncer started shouting at my table to leave at 2:15am after I already purchased 2 pitchers of beer, saying they were closed when there were several other parties in the bar, and was not very nice about it. This is one of the more mild instances I can name, because they can get pretty nasty)… I would suggest just handing them your ID at the door and avoiding them for the rest of your stay, since a few of them seem to have some disturbing unresolved personal issues that they take out on random bar patrons. But I won’t subtract a star because I love everything else about this place.

Went to the upstairs patio for a late dinner and drinks on 7⁄29. Waited over 10 minutes after sitting down, no waitress came over. We went up to the bartender to ask for menus and he said he would send someone right over. Waited ANOTHER40 minutes and no waitress ever came. Other large parties who came in after me and my boyfriend already had food and drinks. After waiting almost an hour I handed the menus back to the bartender and we left without ever even getting a drink. Worst service I have EVER seen in my life.

We started off on the patio. At the top off the steps was a huge sign $ 1.50 Bud light. I ordered one $ 2.50 then again $ 2.50, No big deal. We come back for oysters, we wanted to buy oysters for $ 7.50 and 2 beers for $ 8. Problem is they separate the food and drink. The blonde female bartender who worked on 7⁄24 in the lower bar wanted to leave and kept telling us that their was a $ 10 minimum. We got sick off begging people to take our money.

I was here pretty much everyday during my vacation. This is THE place to be on the boardwalk. The upstairs open deck is amazing. You have fabulous views, sun, cool breezes, great music, and ice cold beers. I didn’t eat here, so no comment on the food, but it will be my go-to bar the next time I’m in Seaside. All of the staff were super friendly and the bartenders(especially the guy) were awesome.

Place is pretty good to come to for food and drinks. Got the vegetarian panini and steam clams not super expensive and pretty good you kind of get what you pay for so don’t expect super high end food for the price.

A restaurant with a large assortment of foods by the shore. It’s an open seating area so you can still enjoy the sun and breeze outside. No AC, but the shade is good. Old leathery booths for seating. The place isn’t the cleanest but I guess that’s what happens when it’s an open place by the sea with people trecking in sand and boardwalk dirt. Food was OK. Nothing special, this place had choices from sushi to cheesesteak. They have come combo meals that you can get a few bucks off instead of buying the items separately. No free refills on drinks. I had the cheesesteak-it was OK-not the best I’ve had on the boardwalk. Came with onions and peppers. Bun wasn’t toasted but I guess you can ask them to toast it for you. My friends got sushi. It was OK. Didn’t seem like the freshiest of the bunch but decent tasting. From what I experienced, there was no wait staff. You order at the counter and you clean up yourself. There’s a bar in the middle for your alcohol beverages as well.

Went here for a benefit concert and I thought it was a nice beach bar, really big, lots of seating and a good area for a stage. The bar staff was not that great, kept walking past us with empty beers and didn’t offer to get us more… finally about 15 minutes later we yelled over the music to ask for refills. But there is alot of food options right there which is nice and they do carry Redbridge Gluten Free beer too.

Loving the new ‘comber with the upstairs patio. Great spot to people watch the boardwalk and beach from above. Food service upstairs is by the waitress only. We understand they are working hard but it was tough to get the waitress’ attention to place orders. Music mix was great! A mix between dance tunes, mellow tunes and some rock. If we were picky we would turn the volume down a little bit before sunset, just so we could talk to each other without screaming over the music. Hubby had the crab cake sandwich $ 10 for 2 hockey puck sized cakes on a long roll. It was better than expected, served with slaw, and not dripping with grease. I had the grilled chicken panini for $ 8– not as grilled as a normal panini but it was a good, filling meal and good alternative to fried bar food. This may be a new«must stop» spot on the new Seaside boardwalk. $ 1.50 Coors light $ 4 Corona
