Bad: In the room we stayed in the air conditioning was bad. We had a suite so the kids stayed in the«bedroom» and we stayed in the living room. The bedroom had no air conditioning. The management said that usually the summer breezes are enough. I would have to say, no that the summer breezes are not enough. We stayed there the weekend after labor day. The first night was very warm even with the giant fan they gave us. The second night was much cooler outside so that room cooled off. I would not stay there in the heat of the summer. There is nothing to do in South Seaside Park. We were staying there because we could not get rooms in Seaside Park. Good: The managers are very sweet and accommodating. It has a great location with a private beach and its right next to Island Beach State park.

This is my second trip with my family to the island beach motor lodge and we love it! First and foremost the location is awesome. It has a private beach and a very clean heated pool. We stayed in the efficiency apartment and it was super clean! The staff is courteous and friendly. The rooms are a bit outdated and are bare bones(that is why I gave it 4 stars rather then 5) but I am ok with that as long as rooms are clean and they were. We are looking forward to going back soon!

Beautiful location, Horrible management. Paid for a room that was given to someone else. Stayed there again and after check out received a nasty phone call from the front desk stating that I left 3 dishes dirty and no tip. I thought you leave a tip by your own choice not here. I am now on the do not rent to list. I guess they don’t need my money so I’m sure they don’t need yours either!

Good quiet spot in Seaside park right next to Island Beach State Park. We stayed in one of the bigger rooms with a living room and bedroom(their version of a suite?). Our king size bed was extremely comfortable and we didn’t hear anyone acting too rowdy. The pool closes at 8:00 which is a bit of bummer and it’s also super tiny. And the cleaning crew were a bit sketchy. But overall it’s a decent spot and I’d stay there again.

Nice rooms, friendly staff. Geri in the office is great. SUPER clean beach. Beach lifeguards are professional and very friendly. Fun atmosphere on the outside bar on top of the beach. Good time overall and not too pricey,

Typical of shore motels the rooms are basic, somewhat dated and inconsistent. We stayed in 2 different rooms and one was a little old and shower curtain was moldy. Other room was fine. The efficiency units have a separate bedroom and fit our family of 5(4 adults and 1 teen). Rooms and amenities were basic(one room we had to call down for an iron and they had no ironing boards). Staff was friendly and helpful. Allowed us to keep an extra car on site for a few days when we were not there and also encouraged us to use their beach before check-in time and after check out. The private beach was really nice, especially on Saturday as the public beach adjacent was packed. First floor hotel rooms have cars parked in front of a small outside sitting area and seemed crowded.

I love staying here during the summer. First time I stayed for a few days and this summer I stayed overnight for a night. There’s a private beach just a short walk from the motel and it is very clean and relaxing. The Restaurant attached to it has very good food but –is– very pricey, use caution when dining there. This is my choice place to stay when I’m ‘on the island’.

When I was a little girl, this place was empty. We could call the front office on any given thursday and book any type of room for the whole weekend, no problem. Current day, they are practically booked for the whole summer by March. IBML is located at the furthest point of Seaside Park, before you run into the Island Beach State Park toll booths. A true gem, located on the quietest point of Seaside, but only minuets away from the loud and exciting Seaside Boardwalk. PRIVATEBEACH and HEATEDPOOL on location. it doesn’t get better then this in Sleaze-side. :) 4 restaurants in the direct vicinity, including one on the property. Also they are located right down the road from the bay. It really is all about location. Prices are reasonable for the area, considering they have the beach and pool. The rooms are no Hilton, don’t get me wrong. They are not incredibly updated — but this is Seaside. you seriously can’t have high expectations. What makes this place so special is the STAFF. They have always been so friendly and accommodating. Most of them have been there for years and years — some I have known since i was a child. The point is this: The neon sign out front almost always reads NO Vacancy … they must be doing something right !
