Came in for an early dinner the other day. Had their Chili verde tostada it was ok, they forgot to put the guacamole on it so I took and back and they promptly fixed it. Also had their Chili relleno plate, meh it was bland. Not much happening there. Wouldn’t get it again. They have fountain drinks, coke products They serve their salsa In squirt bottles so no bowls to dip your chips in. Everything is served on paper plates. Doubt we’ll be back

Seaside, CA — Highway 1, Monterey Bay Another reason why those who feel that the Best burritos are located in The Mission, San Francisco are just a bunch of blow hards. * Diabla Burrito — Shrimp, Rice, Beans and Red Salsa. Overall LEGIT4 outta 5. Not a fan of beans getting in the way of my burrito fun but this is an exception. Shrimp not evenly allocated throughout. Amount of shrimp borderline on skimpy side but the burrito as a whole is what should be appreciated. Solid tortilla and burrito wrap. Perfect Amount of Red Salsa, great Medium heat — the Prince in Purple Rain… * «Baldies» as those in the know call it. * Third visit — second Diabla Burrito. Tips: * Closed Sunday — WTH * Most Popular Burritos according to employee Super Burritos. * FOODCHALLENGE: Finish a Jumbo 15″ burrito in one sitting and get a second for free. The equivalent of 3 regular size burritos. I feel 2 is doable but 3 maybe way too much! * Notable Life Changing Burrito spot — El Charrito in Salinas, CA — 25 minutes away.

Tostadas are so delicious! They are by far my favorite thing to get here. Small taqueria but authentic tasting Mexican food. Im almost positive they charge a $.50 transaction fee for debit or credit card use.

Me and my dad always stop and get breakfast burritos sometimes before we start our workday the only complaint is there bacon has some fat that’s chewy but the rest is ok and worth getting for a breakfast burrito.

Grabbed a couple of Carne asada crispy tacos for lunch. Great price and really tasty meal. I think I’ll try the chili Verde next time given the green sauce was awesome. They have a lot to choose from but it’s quite a ways from San Jose.

This place sucks we ordered a staff lunch and they screwed up the whole order, then when we call back they deny it. We had two plates the exact same chicken sopes they come with two per plate and one order only came with one. I wish I can get the tip back I gave these idiots. Will never go back again

Possibly top taco shop in the Monterey area. Fast and great. Easily get your money’s worth. Best Carne Asada fries and the breakfast burritos are killer(thick-cut bacon) though on occasion the potatoes can be slightly under cooked. Their red sauce is top notch, not a fan of green sauce in general so I cant comment. Eating area is clean. I’ve never used the bathroom so I have no comment on its cleanliness.

Huge burritos here. Came around 10:30AM for brunch with the husband. He got a carnitas burrito and said it was delicious. I got the huevos rancheros which is, FYI, also folded into a tortilla(I had assumed it was eggs and the huevos rancheros fixings on top of small taco sized tortillas. It ended up being 2 meals’ worth of food and was delicious. The red salsa is better than the green one. Be careful though, the red salsa bottle has a tendency to clog and I ended up shooting salsa all over my face and shirt. Plenty of parking both in the lot and on the street. This place seemed popular as we went at a weird time but there were a few people coming in and as we arrived a bunch of firefighters were leaving. Takeaway: It’s pretty well priced and the burritos were good but not the most amazing I’ve ever had. Still a good option for a cheap meal. Service was fast and friendly.

Good and fast, no frills. I had a carne asada tostada and a carnitas burrito. The tostada was really tasty and the carnitas were very good but lacked the crispy bits I love. Good pork though. This place is about as fast as a Taco Bell but serves actual food. Not fancy, but good food really fast.

Wanted some good ol’ carne asada nachos and this place hit the spot. It wasn’t the best I’ve ever had but it wasn’t too bad either. It’s a little hole in the wall joint serving up some no-nonsense Mexican food.

One of the best Mexican spots in the whole county and I don’t even favor Mexican food that much so just take my word for it! Try the BBQ pork tacos, breakfast burritos, and asada fries! Place is pretty run down and old but it makes up for with everything else.

Baldemiros is the quintessential Mexican take out place. This isn’t a place to sit down and eat with your family. In fact, in the seven years I’ve been coming here I have never seen anybody eating in the restaurant. The tables are for sitting down and scrolling through your smart phone while you wait the last 3 minutes for your food to arrive because you are short-sighted and didn’t bother to call in the order until you were leaving to go get it. If you are going to eat at Baldemiros the process to follow to have the best experience is as follows: 1) Have a 15 minute«discussion»(argument) with your wife about where to eat. 2) Spend another 10 minutes trying to find their take out menu because somebody always takes it off the fridge and shoves it in a god damn drawer somewhere 3) Listen while your wife orders food over the phone, insisting that her order doesn’t have cilantro anywhere in it because she thinks cilantro tastes like soap. 4) Hope that they DO remember to put the requisite amount of cilantro in YOUR food because that stuff is bomb 5) Pick up your food 6) Go home and eat that sh! t right out of the styrofoam to-go package while watching«America’s craziest police videos» on TV. Don’t try to watch anything that requires concentration or you will look down during the commercial and realize you have Enchilada sauce and refried beans all over your shirt

I’m painfully picky when it comes to my burritos. I almost wish I wasn’t, because the hunt for the best burrito in the area has been impossible. Baldemiro’s is as close to a great burrito as we’ve gotten so far. I’m all about the flavor, the ingredients, and if there’s value; you’ve found a gem. This is definitely bang for buck. The breakfast and regular carne asada burritos are pretty darn good, and they’re always super helpful when I’ve stopped by. It’s not the fanciest or flashiest place, but that’s not always where the best grub comes from.

This place is dirty. While we sat to wait for our food we saw a spider crawling in the edge of the windowsill(if my head would have been leaning against the wall the spider could have crawled on me, that’s how close the dirtyness is) There where spider webs visible, very close to where you eat. My husband started killing the spider before it got to our table. The carne asada tacos had a lot of fat. I personally don’t enjoy eating meat with 50% fat in it. The Aguas Frescas were good! So where the adobada tacos. If this place was well kept and clean it wouldn’t have been as bad.

Lunch today at Baldemiros hit the spot. My review from 14 months ago still stands for the most part but I had to bump it up a star because the food deserves at least that. My son had the«Super Adobada» burrito. He went on and on how great his barbecue pork burrito was. I revisited the larger asada burrito. It really is a good burrito and big enough for two. I had them cut it in half and took the other half home for my wife. The standout in the asada burrito is the rice. My wife thought it was a plain white rice but I think it is a lightly seasoned Mexican rice. It added decent body to the burrito and complimented the beef nicely. My other son had a bean and cheese burrito. He neither gushed about it or condemned it so that means it was pretty good. It was huge and that is really all he cares about. All three burritos came in under $ 18.00 and all parties were satisfied. As I noted in my previous review the restaurant is not much to look at and the interior is primitive. Here it is the food that might bring you back.

Another hole in the wall that is worth a try! This is probably the best place to get carne asada fries if you’re in the area. Prices are cheap for the amount of food they give, they have a big menu to choose from, and there is plenty of parking. I’m taking off a star since there isn’t much of a salsa bar. Last I was there they only had two salsas and lemons in the salsa bar(if you can call it that)… Where are the radishes & jalepenos?! Anyways, I suggest doing take out here and eating at the one of the beaches or parks that are nearby since the restaurant itself is pretty run down and small. Since you’re in the area might as well enjoy the view too!
