A great small town restaurant! My girlfriend and I went here for breakfast last weekend while we were in town. The food was a little slow coming out since they were a bit short-staffed for an odd Monday rush, but by the time it arrived it was worth the wait! Our server was very friendly as well despite being crazy busy. :)

This place is where God eats breakfast. If you don’t believe in God, eat the chicken fried steak and the crab benedict and you will. Great food, good prices, friendly staff. Unilocal is telling me I need to make this review longer, so I’ll just list adjectives to describe the food hear: Good, great, awesome, tasty, delicious, incredible, very far above average… Ok, just hit the quota for a review. Now will submit

This is my third time here, I’m from Seattle and I’ve been to seaside two other times, and every time I come to seaside I have to come to Café 101. The service is great, and the food is always great. All three times, I’ve been here, I haven’t been disappointed.

It is a family friendly restaurant! Witch to me means a place that still has better food then a fast food joint, but a comfortable environment I don’t feel out of place to bring my 4 year old with me for dinner! The food is what u would expect from a Café n the service is good too! We will keep coming back for sure! #lovinthelivininseaside

My family stopped by here last weekend for breakfast. We got a variety of items, ranging from bacon and eggs, to hashbrowns, to oatmeal, to crabs benedict. The food was pretty good. The portions were decent for the price(the crabs benedict was a little pricey, but since it involves crabs I guess that is to be expected). The interior design looks like someone’s home which is an odd choice but does have a quaint feel. The weirdest part about the place is the alternative/metal music that plays. It doesn’t fit the atmosphere of the restaurant at all. It didn’t really bother anyone, it just felt very out of place in that environment. When we got our bill, we were charged for 3 lattes that we had not ordered. It was a very quick fix once we brought it to our server’s attention. Our server was very polite and checked on us several times. Our order also wasn’t originally correct(one of us asked for scrambled eggs and we got eggs over easy) but it was quickly corrected(less than 2 minutes). Overall, the value was decent, the food was good, and while there is nothing of note to really«wow» you make you hunger to come back specifically to eat here, it is definitely a worthy stop for breakfast items.

Very solid choice. No Michelin stars, just good service and good food. Service was quick and very pleasant. I had heard that this was a good place for breakfast and it sure is. I had a very good omelette that was perfectly cooked and the High Commander had a Denver omelette that she said was perfect.

One of the best breakfast café/restaurant I have ever been to. The waitress was great, she made us feel so welcome. The food was beyond tasty. The French Toast was made perfect, the pancakes were fluffy and the chicken fried steak was to die for! I would recommend going here for breakfast. I will definitely return here when I come to Seaside!

My wife and I stopped in for breakfast here just a couple days ago. We thought this place was just great. The staff was really friendly without being pushy or clingy. The food was really nice, and the biscuit I had was clearly house made and really tasty(not THE best I’ve ever had, but the best I’ve had in Seaside). As this place is outside of the downtown area, there wasn’t a huge crowd so seating was fast and service was prompt. My wife and I are already planning to return for another breakfast the next time we are in Seaside, but next time we are also getting some slices of pie to go… Something tells me that they are probably worth it.

Sorry to say this once pretty good place jumped the shark and has become another casualty of poor quality and improperly prepared food. As time progressed it seemed the frequency that I had a problem with my meals became more consistent. From poorly prepared meals to the last straw, a hair in my scrambled eggs, this place failed to deliver a consistent level of edible food. I went with a group of ten people for breakfast… four meals were returned to the kitchen. No one wants to ever go back. This once busy place rarely has any cars out front except the owners pearl white Escalade.

we stopped in on our way down the coast and hoped for the best. it was AWEsome! hubby had a denver omellete and he was very happy with the omelette, potatoes, and his one slice of toast. the server was actually listening! i had a patty melt and it was perfect. not just one slice of cheese, but two! unheard of! lots of grilled onions. so yummy. cole slaw was great. the server was new and loved her job, can see why, if she’s got happy customers! and we were! highly recommend Café 101.

We walked in at 10 am to a totally empty dining room. My heart sunk. Oh my, had we made a mistake? The waitress was perky and obviously knew the menu well. Coffee arrived hot and served in cups large enough to make a coffee lover smile. I ordered the misnamed but delicious Spanish Omelet. Do yourself a favor, drop what you are doing and go eat this omelet! Filled with Mexican chorizo(not Spanish chorizo), ground beef, cheese, onions and more,. Topped with sliced avacado, salsa and sour cream it was very likely the best omelet I have ever eaten! I chose the fruit, a dollar upgrade, rather than potatoes. Well worth the price. The whole wheat toast was homemade and flavorful. Other than renaming the omelet itself,(if you don’t want to call it a Mexican Omelet how about Sante Fe? There is already a Denver Omelet on the menu, a Sante Fe would work) I had no complaints. Darn good breakfast.

They were really really busy when we got here. We were ready to order when we sat down. Order in to food on the table was fast. The food was REALLY good. Service was an issue. After she brought our meal she never came back. The entire restaurant was down to 5 parties and there were two waitresses. Not once. I had to take my glass up to the counter and ask for more to drink. Ok, make that two trips to the counter to give her the bill. For some strange reason she has decided preparing utensil/napkin place settings is more important than customers. The best food in a nice setting with terrible service ruins a good meal. If you don’t give me decent service I won’t come back. I forgot about the fairly large pile of bird droppings by the front door. Yuk!

Good American-style food, served fast by friendly people. They easily accommodated our group so we ended up eating here twice during our stay.

I’ve ate here 4 other times since my first review. 3 times for breakfast and one time for dinner. I consider dinner only being two stars. Breakfast was always good. Hate to say it but because of the high kid meal prices I won’t be back.

This place was good for what we were looking for. Not an exorbitant amount of seafood options but decent. Few wine selections and beer selections. I would describe it as a classy denny’s. Our food was good. We got the sautéed prawns and the salmon special and it was pretty good.

Fresh made hot food with quick smiling service. Didn’t flinch at me bringing a 3 year old and twin babies. Not a ton of seating that I saw but may be more around the back. The building looks dark on the outside but inside is well lit, warm and cozy. We got breakfast. Everything was very tasty and fresh. I like that they have different seafood Benedict options. Good coffee with refills aplenty. This has replaced the pig as my breakfast treat.

My wife and I stopped in for dinner, and the service was prompt and pleasant. My wife enjoyed her grilled halibut, rice pilaf and vegetable. I asked for onion rings and fried halibut but was unaware that fried salmon accompanied that as the evening’s special. The onion rings did not appear; I got fried potatoes instead, and I really didn’t mind the error of the fries, but the deep-fried salmon tasted like cat food to me, had an odd after-taste and didn’t sit well. My stomach rebelled, punishing me; I surrendered that dinner about two hours later. My upset stomach was likely an individual response; my wife had no negative reaction to her dinner. Briefly, our server was very nice, dinner was served promptly and pleasantly, and the restaurant seems relatively popular with locals. Admittedly, an upset stomach and nausea leaves a lasting impression that will likely preclude my return, but my wife was pleased with her grilled(not fried) halibut. Message: I should have chosen grilled instead of fried dinner choices.

My husband and i thoroughly enjoyed our lunch here. They offer quite a variety of options on the menu as well as a bar. The décor is warm and cozy and the people were very nice to us. Great hospitality that we really appreciated. We partook in wine and beer and then I ordered fish & chips and my husband ordered a shrimp & crab melt. Both were very delicious and tasted very fresh. We also had some clam chowder and homemade apple pie. Both were absolutely delicious! We could really tell that everything was freshly made with quality ingredients.
