The food here is SOMOTHEREFFINGEXPENSIVE for the portions one gets. The owner of this place was NOT friendly at all. In my opinion, he did not show his paying customers any manners and he seemed grumpy. I heard this place typically overcharges so make sure to recheck your order and cost. The owner served our food and threw the utensils on the dirty ass table… The seating here is minimal and not for a family setting. We ordered a variety of seafoods and the food itself was at best 3.5 stars. The captains plate, crab melt, shrimp melt and chowder were okay… The chowder is served in a styrofoam cup and all in all, food could be better. The seafood ended up sogging up the melts/bread at the bottom. The captain plate had salmon, cod and other fishes. However the thing that really makes me give this hole 3 stars at best is the rude customer service as well as the overpriced food. I do not recommend this place to anyone.

Amazing dinner tonight. Crab melt was to DIEFOR. Halibut was thick cut fish, but light and tasty. Crab cocktail still tasty as ever. Very casual fish house atmosphere, love this place… YUM!!!

On a cold day at the beach, my parents and I stopped by here for some food to warm us up. It’s a very bare-bones establishment, with minimal indoors seating. You order at the counter and have three choices: eat inside, grab seats at the benches behind the store overlooking the creek, or take your food to go. This place is as basic as it gets as far as presentation: food is served in disposable paper boats, chowder is served in styrofoam bowls(not great for your health), and the utensils are plastic. The kindest way to evaluate this would be to say that it was underwhelming; a less kind person might say that it was disappointingly forgettable, which is really unfortunate, given that this has a lot of potential to be a great experience for beachgoers. Evaluation breakdown: B for food — great fried prawns and decent chowder, but the fried razor clams were very chewy. Overall, this was good, but not mind-blowing food. The chowder was a bit too heavy on potatoes and light on clams; this didn’t affect flavor too much, since it seemed like it was made using a chowder base, but it isn’t ideal as a food experience. The prawns were definitely the highlight from what we ordered: they were huge and juicy, and were delicious with a bit of lemon juice and marinara sauce. My dad had razor clams and the cod, one of which he really enjoyed(the cod), and the other of which he could barely choke down due to its over-chewiness(the razor clams). Mom had the salmon, which she loved. The waffle fries were standard cafeteria-issue prepackaged fries; nothing to write home about. Probably the biggest disappointment here, as far as the food was concerned, though, was the fact that most of the seafood was frozen. This was pretty unexpected, and disappointing, for a seafood joint right on the beach. D for customer service — the woman behind the counter was incredibly rude to my parents, and was impatient when my mom asked if the seafood was fresh or frozen. With that said, service was pretty quick, which we appreciated. Then again, most of the food is probably cooked in batches.
