I stayed at the hotel attached to the restaurant. I tried to get a table outside on two separate occasions. Both times the restaurant was ½ full but was told they were full unless a reservation had been made. The poor restaurant experience made me never want to stay at the hotel again.

By far the best food we had on the trip to seaside. Great venue and service right off the beach. If you are looking for a upscale place to have a great view and a great food you have to give this place a shot. One of the few places I’ll revisit on a return trip to seaside.

I really enjoyed this gem, and would have given it 5 stars if it was staffed adequately. My server was Brian, and he was incredible… covering nearly the entire restaurant himself. I wanted a cocktail, and couldn’t decide… so he created a drink based on my likes. It was The Best! The food was excellent. I lunched on a beautiful selection of cheeses, and cold Dungeness crab & shrimp over greens. There was a lot of crab – a pulled consistency, fresh and flavorful. The drink was so good, I had a second! The restaurant in beautifully appointed inside, but I enjoyed eating outside, looking over the promenade. Again, at noon time with ample seating– they were way understaffed with servers. Thanks for the great service, Brian!

Enjoyed a sunset dinner at the newly redesigned and decorated Maggie’s on the Prom. What a delight. You will feel as though you have been transported to the Hamptons or Nantucket and the menu is full of mouth watering fare. The presentation is eye catching, the portions are perfect and wow everything we ordered was sumptuous. We ordered the crab linguine, steamers, salads, spinach artichoke dip. I am returning for the fresh halibut. Oh and guess what? I hear their breakfast is the best! Thanks for the blankets too… what a thoughtful touch.

Had both breakfast and dinner here. Macaroni and cheese was probably the best I’ve ever had. Pricey but worth it.

Our first experience here was an extremely rude hostess. I was in the restaurant business for many years. If she worked for me she wouldn’t last one day. Other then that the rest of staff was pleasant especially the bartender. The crab cakes are good. The clam chowder is very very thick if you like that style. Great location and nice atmosphere.

The food was fairly good, but managers gave myself a hard time. I accidently lock my keys in my car trunk. So had to call AAA to help me out, but due to the luxury car that I was driving and it wasn’t able to be easy to get access. Only option was to have my mercedes towed to a dealership to access the trunk. The problem was that my car was in a tight spot, the AAA tow truck was in a empty parking lot owned by maggies. 2 managers(1 female and male) came out gave us a hard time telling us we can’t park here, that it’s only for customers, I told them I was a customer. and the manager said«WAS“A customer… we went back into word exchange. I just had enough of his cocky attitude. Not sure of both of thier name. But thier both heavy set(obesity) … Thier approach in handling business needs to be worked on

This only a review of the clam chowder as that’s all I had and all that I wanted. I went in with pretty high expectations and reading the reviews, I thought I might have found a go to place. While far from the worst, I wasn’t too impressed. I ordered a bowl, and personally, I hate those large shallow bowls that fancy restaurants use. Being shallow, that may have had an impact on the temperature, which wasn’t has hot as I would have liked. For $ 8 for this bowl, I was underwhelmed by the quantity, however the deck view was wonderful on a sunny windless day. The chowder itself, was tasty, but was really lacking in clams and potatoes in my bowl. Clam Chowder is supposed to be thick, white and creamy. This one had little flecks in it,(fennel I think). Didn’t ruin the flavor at all, but I personally don’t like it. Given this is what I would think would be a higher end establishment, I was a bit disappointed that there wasn’t a nice garlic butter toast to go with the bowl. The service was fine and the server was friendly. Looking at some of the other dishes that other patrons had, I’d say they looked pretty good. I was just wanting a bowl of chowder and unfortunately underwhelmed. The search continues for me. While I won’t go back for the chowder, I probably will try again when I want a full meal.

Some of the best clam chowders I have ever had. The bloody marry’s are great as well!!! I highly recommend this place for all they offer. The views they offer are wonderful and their remodel is awesome. This is a place I would not miss if you are in Seaside. The staff is also amazing.

Great location, incredibly pleasant sitting outside in the sun. The service was fine. The food was mediocre at best and a bit disappointing given the price for halibut fish and chips.

First off, I must say the waitress was wonderful. The restaraunt itself is very nice. We went in for appetizers and coffee. The coffee was bitter and cold. Had the clam chowder and crab cakes. The chowder was barely warm and tasted off, I’ve never had gritty clam chowder before. I personally did not like the crab cakes, my wife says they weren’t too bad. They were not cooked all the way through and had a vinegar taste to them. Will most likely never return, but as said before the waitress was wonderful.

The soup was incredible! I had shark soup. I’ve never had it before. It’s all in house baking/cooking, you can tell! The broth was the best I’ve ever had. the shark and onion and veggies in it was very fresh not from canned. I really appreciate that!

We’re in Seaside for spring break, and just tonight dined at Maggie’s with our college aged kids. Hubby and I love cooking and dining out as well… the kids are used to us! Food: I couldn’t resist trying Chocolate/Mustard Chicken… so creative and delicious. Honey Salmon, King Crab, and Calamari were all enjoyed… we share. Chowder was right up there with the best. House salads with white balsamic, and a cranberry pear balsamic vinaigrette… were very well done. Ambience and service were just right. We’ll be back on our next visit!

The food, service, atmosphere and view were amazing. The food was delectable and melted in your mouth while treating it to the most delicious meld of flavors. If «Mmmm’s» were money we would’ve paid for everyone’s meals. Our server was so polite and inviting. She made suggestions without telling us what to order. The restaurant was clean, calming and formal without being stuffy. The tables all had fresh flowers, candles and white linens. And the view was stunning. We were mesmerized by the ocean, beach, promenade and beautiful courtyard. We can’t wait to come back

We have strolled down the promenade past Maggie’s many times vowing to someday sit right there and enjoy their fantastic location looking over the prom into the Pacific Ocean. Today we took the time. The sun was out with a slight southerly breeze, 60+ degrees on a Thanksgiving weekend afternoon, another glorious day in Seaside, Oregon! With the weather being what it was, we opted for the outside table seating, after reading the tips on Unilocal,we ordered the recommended crab dip with fresh warm sourdough bread and paired it with a generous pour of a tasty Oregon Pinot Noir. The warm dip was rich & creamy while loaded with plentiful slivers & morsels of delicious white/pink dungeness crab meat. Service was top notch and friendly, we will definitely return for a meal sooner than later as we were informed by our server of a remodel happening here December 1st and want to return and check it out!

Maggie’s on the Prom has a wonderful view of the water. We had a few items during our time in seaside. Service was great as the restaurant was fairly empty when we were there. Hot Crab Dip– excellent! Highly recommend. Calamari– kinda wet, not crispy, rubbery-ish. Also no flavor Salmon– over cooked, no salt, but nice crust. Potato croquettes were bomb though. Chocolate Cake– rich and delicious. 1 order could be shared between 4. Huckleberry cobbler– pretty good! Blintzes– never had one so can’t compare, it was soft, a little flavorless. Would be awesome with some sea salt on top and more flavor inside! Came with eggs and ham– no salt though. Overall, ask the waiter for some salt! It’ll bring out all of the great flavors that the chef has incorporated and take this place up a notch. Compared to everywhere else we are in seaside it was far less greasy and seemed much cleaner and higher class.

Been coming to Maggie’s for several years now and it’s always great. It’s a relaxed pace and the food is often complex and takes time to make, so not the place for a quick bite. Everything I’ve had here is fantastic. Specials are seasonal and creative and desserts are varied so there is something for everyone. Good wine selection and good coffee. View is fantastic. Service is friendly.

Great dog friendly patio with plenty of seating and a view of the ocean! The halibut fish and chips and pineapple mimosa were both fantastic. UPDATE: I was just back here(a year after this original review), and it is still wonderful. This time I had the fish tacos and OMG, so incredible! Some of the best I have ever had. They have also remodeled the inside and it looks great. :)
