Do not come here for the clam chowder. It was cold and very. Very thin and watery. I don’t do many reviews but I hope to save you from what we had. The salad’s were out of the bag and small. Enjoy:)

Great experience. My daughter and I had Halibut Fish and chips. My full order was 5 or 6 pieces with fries. The salads before we’re excellent and my wife loved the shrimp on hers. She had the Cajun Salmon and it was Amazing! Our son as the lite meal of steamed crab and it was also delicious. We both had a glass of wine which was a very generous $ 7 pour. We did notice that they have $ 5 cocktails whish is: rum, gin, vodka, whiskey, or Scotch with a mixer of your choice. Service was effecient, attentive, and polite. They also really got things out quickly. We will visit this restaurant on every trip to Seaside! Highly recommend this place.

Food is good and the waitress that served us is friendly and helpful. However the greeters in the front don’t even care if people are leaving. It’s just rude.

Great crab legs! No effort involved and the Cajun style is off the hook. Smells a bit weird when you first get there. Old building. But you get used to it.

I’m impressed with their service! They opened after hours from 10 pm — 1 am or so for the barbershop quartet competition going on this weekend, so the place was packed out and we fortunately had the amazing Ashley as our server! She was incredible, always saying«are you happy», making sure that we had everything we needed. I could tell Ashley loved her job, she exuded job y while hustling and being super funny.

Wonderful service from the 2 ladies at the front counter. Placed a to-go order for a 4pc halibut an chips, a Grilled cheese w/chicken strips in it for my 2yr old & a bowl of clam chowder… Need less to say fish was excellent & the kid loved her sandwich, an the fries were cooked perfectly for us, & the clam chowder was very fresh, w/big piece of clam both me an the wife found the whole meal very tasty… Waitress gave our kid some thing to color & crayons to color with. A+ experience

This is an «OK» family restaurant that I went to because my first two choices happened to be closed. The clam chowder is indeed a bit watery as others have pointed out and I wish the clam content would have been a bit higher as opposed to potato as a filler. The Cajun-style halibut was decent, as were the sweet potato fries. The garlic bread was just a slice of white bread with garlic butter very thinly applied. Lastly, my lemonade tasted like it was store-bought/from a fountain. All in all this was neither really bad nor exceptionally good. If you’re hungry and you’re there it’s a decent choice but I wouldn’t make a trip to eat here again.

Excellent! 50% off full menu all day on Tuesdays for seniors. Place was full in off season… I can see why. Really good food, large portions. Fish & Chip full dinner for me, surf and turf for my wife. We’ll be back. Tonight for the price rollback extravaganza. The price was right.

Another great meal and great service at this little restaurant on Broadway in Seaside. Dillon was my waiter and he was extremely attentive and a great waiter. I chose the halibut fish and chips. The halibut was very fresh and lightly breaded. I don’t know how they do it but it was not greasy at all. Very light and flaky. The fries were so crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Perfect! The coleslaw was fresh and tasty as well. The only thing that was different was that the consistency of the tarter sauce was off and it was more diluted and liquified than in the past. The taste was still great though. 2015-109

I can not tell you how their food is as I never had it but I will tell you about my experience there. We came on a Saturday, it was pretty busy but they had us seated in about 15 minutes. A gentleman brought us water as soon as we sat down and was very prompt on our refills. That ends all of the good things about this place. I could tell you about the heavy fish/old oil smell or about the weird menu that had a question mark after every other item, but the thing that really got us was that after 15 minutes of sitting at a table no one had come to see us. Though we did have a waitress stand 2 tables down and talk to the couple who were sitting there for at least 5 minutes about her surgery, they were still chatting as we walked out the door. On the plus side we found a place down the street called twisted fish and had a wonderful meal. We just got married and are on our honeymoon, when twisted fish found out they gave us a free desert. Their food is more modern and very good with an attentive wait staff. Go there don’t bother with this place.

The wait was only 5 minutes and we got great service once seated. Ordered a full combo platter to split. She got the salad which was great, with a large pile of shrimp on top. I ordered a bowl of chowder which was the best I had during the weekend. When our dinner came we were pleasantly surprised that they had split the meal on two plates. It was also very good. Finished the meal with dessert — strawberry cream cheese cake. The whole experience was good.

Excellent. This is one of the best places in Seaside and cannot be missed when coming. There really is nothing I can complain about from here, it was all really good. The calamari is probably the most delicious I’ve ever had, along with the clam chowder. I would highly recommend this to anyone coming on there way through here. TL;DR: Extremely Delicious. You should come.

After walking around the area, trying to find somewhere to eat, I had to ask a local. They recommend this location to me and said the Clam Chowder was one of the best soooooo of corse I had to order a bowl. It was a party of 25 of us, 18 adults &7 kids. They handled it very well and I was very please with their customer services. I ordered the seafood combination and OMG it was yummy!!! I was very pleased with it. To top it off, I agreed 500% with the random lady that told me the clam chowder was amazing. It looked soupy but boyyyyy it was delicious! It has a very nice atmosphere in here. You can dress up and dine in or just come in super hungry after spending the day at that beach. I recommend this restaurant!

I was so pleased with this place! My great Grandma recommended Doogers to me for the clam chowder. I had the Smoked Salmon Salad and a cup on Clam chowder. It was delicious! The salad had a variety of fruit & vegetables and the clam chowder was perfect!

Very pleased with Doogers after several years coming down. 3 years ago I would have put this place at 3 stars but this trip they really stepped up the quality of food. The Alfredo sauce is exceptional and the kids portions are very generous. The first visit I tried the Alfredo with shrimp and the second visit had the sushi grade Ahi. Both were very good and I would pick this place above several Seattle favorite spots. My wife had the crab sandwich and scallops which were very tasty and fresh and recommends to always start with the salad with bay shrimp.

Clam chowder is supposed to be creamy… Well mine was soupy very watery but somehow it tasted good, the site salads come with shrimp on them(they seem and tated fresh). Fish and chips(salmon and sweet potatoes fries) the fish was dry and kinda tasteless. Pasta was one of the only things it was good and that i enjoyed. Overall it was nothing special … It was just a 1 time deal for us, but or Waiter was good and friendly.

Family friendly and gluten free food? Winner! This restaurant has a great location in downtown Seaside. We heard they had a gluten free selection, and have a family member with severe gluten sensitivity. The outside menu didn’t advertise it, but walking in they confirmed that they had items such as gluten free buns, their signature clam chowder, fish and chips, and even cheescake. We went on a busy weekend so perhaps our service was a tad slower than normal, but it wasn’t really bad. The children’s menus were extensive and the kids enjoyed the crayons and coloring sheets. The regular menu was extensive and had good fresh options, if not a little pricey. We really enjoyed the clam chowder and will return for it. The children’s meals were large and went over well. The fish was fresh and tasty. Best of all, our gluten-free diner had a wonderful meal.

I’m seeing a lot of posts about what seems to be the same waitress. But let me tell you, the last 2 times I’ve been here, I’ve had 2 different young males, both of which have been amazing! So friendly and courteous and really have been taught genuine manners. The food is SOGOOD. The prawns they use are amazing, and all you hear from surrounding tables are«oh my gosh this is amazing isn’t it?» I’d recommend this to anyone. Another huge thing I noticed, is they truly are an equal opportunity employer. I’ve seen about 3 special needs employees who just brighten the experience!

I was hoping for great here, too bad I didn’t get it. I primarily chose this place based on a photo of their clam chowder. The picture was so tempting. Unfortunately, it was more like clam soup than chowder. Come on, chowder is supposed to be thick and creamy. While the flavor was decent, had it been heart stopping creamy, I think I would have been happy. I ordered the quick lunch, salad, bowl of soup, added a side of fries and a soda. $ 16.50 for that, well, a bit expensive, for that, I think. The salad was decent, grateful that the waitress told me that they put shrimp on the salads, so I could order without that. Homemade honey mustard dressing was really good. The French fries are coated in a light batter that makes them crispy, which is nice. Back to why I went, if they made an outstanding chowder, I’d happily come back.

Seaside doesn’t seem to have many great places to eat. Granted, it’s only about 4 square miles total, but you would think for a coastal town, it would at least have one really GREAT place for seafood. It was a Saturday, so there was a pretty long wait for a table for two. The interior definitely has that sticky ocean air feel/smell, which is to be expected, of course. Once we were seated, we ordered the fried razor clams to start and decided to split the full order of the crab cake meal since neither of us were immensely hungry. Our server offered to have the kitchen split the crab cakes up on to separate plates, which was super nice. The fried razor clams were not great, tough and rubbery, with the breading sliding off as soon as we stuck a fork in them. The salad was a basic one that seemed like it had come out of a bag, with pre-frozen bay shrimp. The crab cakes were ok, seasoned well enough, though consisting more of bread crumbs than anything else. The best part was the lump of crab meat on the top; however, the hollandaise was a completely unnecessary addition. Dooger’s isn’t the nicest place to eat, but the food is ok. Worth the price? Not really, at least as far as the seafood is concerned.
