They are closing in early June, was a convenient but unspectacular wash and fold place

This dry cleaning although pricier than competitors, actually clean clothes rather than just steaming it or whatever the others do cough-blueskycleaners-cough.

I noticed everyone complained about price at this cleaners. Definitely those are people who have never taken their things to a great cleaners. Their prices I haven’t seen to be expensive. I dropped off my Burberry jacket and my BCBG blazer to be cleaned. Mind you these are expensive items, so I trusted they’d do a good job and I didn’t care about the price. Once my things were finished, we picked everything up and the total was only 25.00 dollars! I thought it was a mistake but wasn’t. I was expecting to pay over 100 dollars but that wasn’t the case! My jacket and blazer came out perfectly cleaned, no issues at all. I’ll definitely come back here over and over again for my clothing.

Are you serious? I dripped off a jacket because I had an interview and the jacket had a slight BO. I got it today and it smells even worse. What did you do A1? Wore it some more and gave it back. Thanks! I have an interview tomorrow and now I have to find somewhere else instead of studying for my interview!

They have a nice staff and good candy selection. I’m not sure about price, honestly, i don’t care and I don’t usually take it that much into consideration. They seem to be in line with what I’ve paid elsewhere. Like most stores, they charge what they can. I’ve been happy with the work I’ve had done here. The cats are great too.

A little overpriced, but just not a great dry cleaner. Paid $ 120 for about 10 items including a repair. Repair was totally inconsistent with the ‘ripped jeans’ look and could have been done much better. Made a small hole in my brand new sweater from Nordstrom i’ve worn once and the fabric is now pretty much trashed and the color has been a bit washed out. Both of my sweaters came back smelling so awful I can’t wear them. Going to find somewhere else. Very nice people working there, but their product and price really lets them down. 1.5 Stars. Sorry guys.

Expensive. This is directly attributed to the following: 1) They do not treat garments in house. 2) Belltown I’ve always received good, friendly service here — but its just too damned $$$

I have a love hate relationship with dry cleaning, but a lass I have a LOVE relationship with delicate clothing. So when I need it dry cleaned A1 is my place, it’s near by, easy for me to drop off and pick up. Not sure on pricing but I’m too lazy to compare. They haven’t ruined any article of my clothing so I’ll pay their price. 3 stars because I know that parking for others may not be easy.

This place is very honest. I had left some money in a pocket, and upon my return, the cashier had returned my money. Now that’s customer service. The staff is very friendly. The location is convenient and I enjoy dropping off my dry cleaning needs here because if I find the right parking, which is over the Battery St. Tunnel, it has a great view of the Puget Sound.

Y’know the musical epsidoe of Buffy? You’ve seen that, right? If not, you really should because it’s really the best episode ever. Anyway, after dropping off a dress and a silk shirt here, I felt like that lady on the street — I just wanted to sing, «They got the stain OOOUUUUT!» The silk shirt was a easy dry cleaning test. But the dress I dropped off with fingers crossed — I had washed it several times with different cleaning solutions and had not been able to budge a stubborn oil based stain. After a stay with A-1, it looked brand new. So thanks, A-1! On the downside, their rates are a bit spendy. I think that’s partially a function of location. I don’t need things dry cleaned often enough that I’m going to go out of my way to find a cheaper alternative, so it works for now.

I’m updating my review because after visiting other cleaners in the area, I’m realizing that this place is way OVERPRICED! You can walk a few block down and shirts are laundered/pressed for only $ 1.25. How does this place get off on charging 100% more? Off suckers like me apparently.

I just got my cleaning back and for about 20 shirts and a two trousers and a jacket it was 110 dollars! i couldnt believe it and they basically drycleaned a lot of shirts that no other cleaner has ever dry cleaned… wow what a ripoff.

It’s a dry-cleaner with wash & fold, so I really dont’ think I need to say too much. $ 2.50/lb of laundry for wash & fold with I believe at 6 lb. minimum. However, their dry cleaning is a little over-priced. I think my sweaters were $ 7.00 each. NIce people working there though and they’re very efficient. Biggest issue was the price. I would really give this 3.5 stars :)

A-1 Laundry is a pretty good dry cleaner. I’ve taken several jackets, a sweater and a couple of winter coats to have them cleaned, and they always come back looking good. What I especially like is that my clothes don’t reek of dry cleaning solution. The prices are in line with what you would be charged anywhere else, i.e. out in the ‘burbs. I don’t know how quickly they can turn around an item, as I always take things in that I don’t need/want back for at least a week. The cats that inhabit the store are friendly as well, and they are huge. Must be the fumes…
