This used to be my favorite place to get bubble tea but the last couple times. It’s not the same. I gave it another try today and it’s still bad. If you want a watered down avocado shake, then this is your place! I’m not sure if they’re trying to save money or what(charging .25 for an extra straw too??) but using just HALF an avocado and filling the whole blender with ice is going to make it taste like water. When I asked if they can remake my drink, the guy pretty much just refused. Then they started speaking in Chinese talking about should they refund me the money. I wasn’t even asking for my money back, I just wanted it remade to actually taste like an avocado shake. But nope, couldn’t even get that. My friend and I ended up walking out and def never going back. Take your money and go one block over to the Phở Tai or Oasis!

I can say this place is the best milk tea place I’ve ever tried so far in Seattle. The tastes of their original Black Milk Tea and Green Milk Tea are unique and charming. Creamy, sweet and strong of milk tea flavor since they really don’t taste like milk tea using powder to make. Please don’t forget to add Egg Custard/Pudding into your drink because it makes your milk tea even more delicious. Two things I’m not so happy about are that the store is small and employees don’t look welcomed. Anw I still rate them 5 stars because of the Shaved Ice(it’s so good)

Used to be my childhood favorite, but as I tried more and more boba shops this fell to my least favorite. Should’ve gotten the original milk tea that my aunt always gets me but I went with honey milk tea. It was watered down, boba had a good texture but hasn’t been in sweetened syrup so there’s not much flavor. I give it a 3/5, but my mom got the jasmine green tea which was very very good, I wish I got that instead! Still great spot with lots of good memories but drinks are hit and miss. Cheap prices are what I appreciate though, $ 2.50-$ 2.75 for milk teas!

I often order jasmine green tea here and it tastes great. I sometimes give them exactly coins but they are still happy to receive those. I never give them tip coz im still a student but probably I will in the future

Get the regular milk tea with boba. You won’t regret it! Fast and quick service. Cheapest bubble tea you can find in Seattle!

Cheaper than some options in the neighborhood, but the boba must be poi flavored because I’ve never, ever had boba so aggressively bland before.(Keep in mind, this is coming from someone who loves drinking WATER.) The milk tea seemed to get blander with each sip as well. The only good thing about my drink was the boba had a good texture. Chewy, not to soft.

3.5 stars. Fast and friendly service. The second time I was here, I ordered hot coconut milk tea but received a cold one instead. The milk tea is cheap and authentic so I didn’t mind the mix up too much. My friend got an iced green tea which was far too sweet, and another who got an espresso was left dissatisfied as well. Consensus: Order a milk tea.

Ambrosia by far has the best bubble tea in Seattle. It’s not gimmicky and it really tastes authentic. I always order their jasmine milk tea with boba and egg pudding. The egg pudding is a MUST. It’s by far the best egg pudding I’ve ever had. It’s like a really creamy, smooth flan that goes perfectly with the jasmine milk tea. The only reason I took down a star is because the service is sort of mediocre. The people behind the counter are fast and efficient but they always seem so annoyed and bothered when you place an order. Sometimes I order an extra bubble tea for my sister and I ask for no ice. Every single time they tell me I can’t have no ice. I understand that some people do that so they get more for their buck but I’m only asking because I don’t want it to get diluted. The space is small so I personally wouldn’t sit in and enjoy my bubble tea. But seriously, EGGPUDDING.

Great shaved ice! The shaved ice is a really good deal and comes with 3 toppings. The portion size is good too and great for sharing between 2 people. We got the mango shaved ice with lychee jelly, grass jelly and tapioca and was pretty satisfied. The mango ice was more creamy and less fruity. I usually get ice that is more fruity but I was pleasantly surprised with this creamy ice! Not too heavy or too sweet. I’ve only gotten the smoothies so I can’t say too much about the tea but will definitely try it out next time I go!

I normally don’t like to order Milk Tea because a lot of places I been to haven’t impress me with their Milk Tea. Plus it’s super easy to make. But today for some reason Chinatown power went off for over an hour. Most shops, stores and restaurants has been close. So while walking around Chinatown my friend and I decided to check this place out since it was one of the only place that was still open. They couldn’t make anything but Milk Tea with add on’s so I decided to try the Milk Tea instead of my Green Apple Green Tea. I got mines with Egg Pudding while my friend got her’s with Boba. The Milk Tea here was amazing. Best Milk Tea I have ever had. Not overly sweet with a light after taste of black tea. It was actually refreshing. No wonder Seattle name them top 10 best Bubble/Boba tea shops! The drinks potion is huge and the prices are so much cheaper than California! I will definitely come back to try their other drinks when I visit Seattle again!

Really great bubble tea! Just like share tea they have a percentage of how sweet you want your bubble tea. The tapioca was perfectly sweetened and the drink good as well. The guy at the register was having a hard time understanding that I just wanted black tea with tapioca to the point where I needed to change my order… But besides that this place is awesome!

Never coming back to here ! They reuse drinks that are turned back … Someone accidentally grabbed my drink and they already poked a hole and drank it ! Instead of making me a new drink, the guy tried to play it off and gave me the same drink… I was watching him during this whole time and he had the nerve to give me the same drink that someone else already touched and drank out of … I’m sorry but that is no way to treat anyone. Even if you are busy, I didn’t mind waiting for my drink. But the fact that he tried to give me that same drink that someone else drank out of makes me mad. I also read another review where another person had the same problem ! If they did this to me I’m sure they did this to more people ! Just watch your drinks being made !

This place is great for my boba tea fix! Their drinks taste great and service is usually fast, unless you get stuck behind someone with a lot of blender drinks. So stop in here on the way to a game since it’s near the stadiums for some great boba tea before a game.

This was the very first boba place here in Seattle! I used to go here ever since I could remember– I want to say starting from when I was still in Preschool which was during the 90’s. Honeydew and Taro are my go-to’s if I want a creamy shake and if not those two options, I order a Jasmine Milk tea w/Boba. This place is very small and it is street parking in the middle of Chinatown so having someone go into Ambrosia to order the drinks and 1 person wait in the car is always helpful!

The lady at Phnom Penh(across the street) said that this was her favorite bubble tea place… so we obviously had to check it out! When we arrived, there were just a few people in line, but the place quickly filled up with a lunchtime rush. Rus got a milk tea with coffee jelly & tapioca, I got my go-to passion tea with tapioca. As delicious as ever. This place is obviously a local favorite, so stop in for a refreshment while you’re trekking around.

Unfortunately nothing stood out to me about Ambrosia. The atmosphere was bleh. I was also pretty disappointed in my strawberry smoothie with tapioca. The smoothie was ok at best and some of the tapioca balls were a little stale. However, my friend got a jasmine milk tea which was pretty tasty. While the place was ok overall– I don’t know that I’d seek this place out again.

Nope not a fan. Texture is creamy and thick, boba is squishy, and chewy, but the flavor is just off. I was getting stomach ache from what they use. i think i’ll come back to taste the flavors(I got taro and my friend got the milk tea) but this is not a go to place for me. Taro tasted grainy and powdered to me. Prices are cheap, portions are LARGE– but if I’m getting a stomachache from it… i’m not sure.

I always make it a point to try out the«best»(or so I thought) bubble tea in locations when I’m out on vacation. This place BYFAR had the WORST bubble tea I’ve ever had in the US/in the world. I was so excited to get Hong Kong milk tea, since you rarely see that at bubble tea places. This tea was disgusting. A previous Unilocaler commented on how there was too much ice in her HK milk tea. No. I think they just make it SOINCREDIBLYWATERY. To the point you’re basically drinking boba with water. And they actually charge you EXTRA to upgrade to HK-style milk tea. Also, when the other Unilocal reviews comment on horrible service, I usually take it with a grain of salt. The Unilocal reviewers here are SPOT on. Truly the rudest customer service I’ve encountered at a dining establishment. Other places I’ve been to have happily replaced patron’s drinks if they were unhappy with their choice. This place? Apparently not. I asked if I could get a new drink because mine was so disgusting(1st time I’ve ever done this, mind you. It’s not like I’m a super picky bubble tea snob, but this tea was bad. Really bad.). The guy behind the counter kept asking me «HOW? You only paid for one drink. HOW? HOW?» because I already drank it. I’m sorry. I can’t just look at a cup and sense how horrible it is. I wish I had those magical powers I’m guessing you possess. I finally just got so mad and left. It also made me think they reuse bubble tea/pour it back into the pitcher, since he was SO adamant that I already popped a hole in the lid.(This also makes me wonder if this is how they make drinks so questionably fast, like previous Unilocalers have noted — they just reuse old teas.) TL;DR: Avoid this place. Disgusting bubble tea only made worse by their horrible, rude customer service. There are SO many other bubble tea places within a 3 block or less radius(Gossip, Yummy House, Oasis, etc). GOTHERE. Don’t support this establishment.

I am not a fan of their boba drinks. I visited once over two years ago and never came back until recently when I saw a snow ice poster on their window while passing by. Whatever flavor of snow ice you want, they will be out of it. Hopefully they’ll have your second choice. Their toppings suck and you get three choices and they’re always out of one of your three choices, as well. The snow ice itself is tasty with a light texture like it’s supposed to be, but they really need more options for toppings.

Ambrosia Café is located in the Seattle’s International District(Chinatown portion of the district) and the Chinese store name(忘情水 as it was written) caught my attention. Andy Lau, a very famous 80’s and 90’s Hong Kong singer, had a popular Chinese song named exactly like the store name itself( ). It wouldn’t surprise me if this place is named after the actual song. Ambrosia Café got some interesting drink names such as «Ambrosia Delight»(a fruity drink with ice cream) and«Whatever»(similar to Ambrosia Delight, but with more strawberry powder). Pretty chill atmosphere, but I wish there’s wi-fi here. Hot jasmine green milk tea($ 3.01 tax included): Green milk tea wasn’t too shabby using my hometown SGV(San Gabriel Valley) standards. Good chewy tapioca(aka boba as we Los Angeleno call it) and tea wasn’t overly milky and sweet. However, tapioca lacked sweetness from both inside and outside(no honey coating). As a side note … that extra 1 cent really bothered me … $ 3.01 should be rounded to $ 3.00 for the sake of convenience.(Tapioca 3/5, green milk tea 3.5÷5) Overall — good price and not a bad place for a quick bubble tea fix, but nothing really stands out. P. S. — Want an additional straw? Sorry, that will cost you extra $ 0.25. Oh, there’s also another Ambrosia Café located 15 miles away from the International District.
