It’s okay. This is where a group of us from the company stopped to have lunch when we were touring some projects in Seattle. Parking is not fun in Chinatown Seattle. Although the streets are wide, there isn’t a whole lot of parking available. The food is average and nothing to scream about. I was disappointed that the broccoli we were served was not the Chinese broccoli I expected. Service wasn’t that great even though the restaurant wasn’t full. I never did get my glass of water.

They get NEGATIVE10 stars from me! ******THEYDELETEDMYREVIEW!!!********* IFYOUWANTTOEATBUGSCOMEHERE! I’m so livid with my experience today at Hong Kong Bistro. This is me and my husband’s GOTO place every SINGLE Sunday for dim sum. Never again will I step foot into this disgusting, RUDE, and PETTY restaurant. First of all we had to wait ten minutes just to be served water and given menus. Then had to wait another 15 minutes just to be asked if we wanted dim sum. Well of course we do, that’s why we came here. It is why we ALWAYS come here. After we received the last of things we ordered FIRST, which was Shrimp Rice Roll. It’s my favorite dim sum dish to get there. Yet there was an unexpected surprise. Guess what! Bugs! Nasty fruit flies under the bottom layer of the last Shrimp Rice Roll just laying there stuck in the sauce on top of the noodles caught and dead. I was asking my husband why he didn’t finish his portion and he pointed. Then there it was the bundle of flies. YUM! When we got one of the waitresses we showed her, she apologized and asked if we would like another. We kindly declined. She took it back but I guess still expected us to pay for it. I asked for her to take it off our bill but another lady took over our ringing us up. As we were getting rang up we gave the money to the girl who apologized to us but the girl who took over last minute didn’t want to give me my change. Granite it was 50 cents BUT it was the principal of the matter. I was still waiting there and the rude lady who took over my bill goes«what are you waiting for?!» I replied to her, «my change.» She then goes«you didn’t even leave a tip. You’re not going to leave a tip?» I told her, «seriously? You’re joking right?! Please tell me you’re joking and not asking me that. There were multiple BUGS all in our food and you did nothing about it. Of course I am not leaving a tip.» She then rudely replies with, «You know all restaurants have bugs in their food and people still eat it and pay for it.» I asked her what kind of establishment is still in business for that gross matter. She looks at my blankly. I tell her, «You know we come here every damn Sunday and this was the only time we have gotten bad service. Our waiter who usually serves us isn’t here. And we ALWAYS tip you guys well. Even ask him he knows us. He’s always kind and fast with service. You on the other hand had us waiting and waiting.» She just continues to be rude and say nothing STILLNOTGIVINGMEMYCHANGE. We decide to leave, and I tell her straight up, «Keep the petty change, you obviously need it more than I do.» And she says some bitchy remark. We walk out. That’s the last time we are ever dining there. I can’t take food establishments that act that way or think it’s their right to keep our change we are entitled to. Even if it’s a penny ITISNOTYOURMONEYTOKEEP. NORAREWEENTITLEDTOLEAVETIPS. ITISCOMPLIMENTARY. Though I did come from the food industry, I tip very well because I know what’s it’s like. If they’re working hard for their money why not give them incentive. Today just wasn’t the experience I thought I would have from such a place we spent a majority of our money weekly. You can find BETTER places to eat people, it’s Chinatown. Also let me know where to go because we thought we were done hunting for a great place in Chinatown to eat. The search continues!

Sloppy and inconsistent. Came in around 1100 and asked if their lunch menu was in service(they did dim sum for brunch). They said yes and I ordered a fried rice dish to go. Upon returning home I came to realize they had forcibly slapped together my fried rice dish with a type of sticky rice used for certain dim sum dishes. It was completely unpalatable. If they weren’t ready to begin their lunch menu, just say so, but they just had to whip up a load of crap just to make some money typical of Chinese restaurants — short-sighted and devoid of quality, integrity and consistency. Disappointed, yet unsurprised.

This is one of my favorite night visits on a weekend. They are busy until the wee hours of the night. Always great customer service every time we have come in.

If your planning on eating DIMSUM, save your money, the food is bland… I rate it 30 out of 100 editable… The other main dishes here are ok… Will not be back, I rather wait in line for jade garden for dim sum. I’m leaving dissatisfied. Water was split into the ground, and they used newspapers to soak it and left it there next to us, will post pictures. Also the dim sum cart was pushed way to close to my 1 year old baby, he almost burned his hands reaching near it, luckily another waitress ran over to move the cart, she told the lady the baby is small watch out where you push it(she said it in Chinese and I understood what she was saying) thank you to her, otherwise WEWOULDHAVEHAD A REALLYBIGPROBLEM.

I will never go to Hong Kong Bistro again. It was very disappointing. We had a very poor experience at Hong Kong Bistro. We were the first people in our section and 1 hour later we had only received 1 of the 3 things we ordered. It appeared Hong Kong Bistro gave our other 2 dishes to another table(chicken fried rice and boo chop), and offered zero apologies after I mentioned we had been waiting 1 hour. Those other people who also ate our dishes without mentioning that they ordered them, and only paying for a portion were also real jabronies.

Dim sum is good here. Service is a bit slow but the food is good! They have a regular lunch & dinner menu as well. Stays open late till 3, really busy here after the club hours

Never been to this place before and what a great little place! We had no idea what to order, we asked our server Tony to just bring us three of the best recommendations. This is always a gamble and it rolled in our favor tonight!!! Tony had our backs! Tony ended up ordering for us spicy string beans, mushroom black pepper beef, and general Tso chicken. The string beans though they say they are spicy really aren’t but that was totally okay because the flavor was great! Tip for these would be to make sure to eat them while they are hot out of the oven. The mushroom black pepper beef was my favorite by far, no tips other than to order it!!! General Tso chicken was also good, very solid chicken dish, definitely nothing to to complain about here. All in all great experience, good friends great staff and yummy food!

I’ve never ate here, but I always tend to order the watermelon or mango freeze with coconut milk and sago. It’s not a mind blowing drink, but it’s pretty tasty and refreshing. Every so often, I’ll order the deep fried steamed buns with condensed milk. Honestly, who doesn’t like fried bread? Crisp and soft and the condensed milk completes the deliciousness of such a simple dish. I wouldn’t go out my way for it, but it’s definitely nice to grab if you’re in the mood for a refreshing cold drink and you’re in the area.

After clubbing or late night bar runs, this is definitely one of my favorite go to places for some tasty and filling Chinese food. When Purple Dot /Honey Court gets mad packed, HK Bistro is always a great place to eat at due to its spacious interior, ample seating and very quick and attentive service. Open till the last guest leaves(roughly 3−4am), HK Bistro does a great job in providing quick food and attentive service. I never really felt like there was a long wait time for tables here and getting the attention of the servers has never been an issue. The menu here is pretty extensive and overall, great prices for the family size servings. As the core of all food orders, my friends and I always order these dish consistently: Fried Rice, Chow Mein(normal or crispy), Chow Fun, some veggie dish, honey walnut prawns, baked rice /spaghetti, and if you’re feel like eating something sweet, I recommend trying the condensed milk with toast… tasty with tea! With these food items, you really can’t go wrong. All are delicious and most of the time, the food will come out fresh and hot. Similar to Purple Dot in taste, quantity, and quality, you’re not missing out big time if you can’t go to Purple Dot or even Honey Court. Overall, this is a place where you will succeed in satisfying your late night food cravings. Even though I haven’t been here in the day, I can definitely vouch that night time is good(from a sober perspective).

I like the change and uniqueness of the dinner menu but mid way through the meal it feels as though I want a change in texture, flavor and crunch. Hong Kong Bistro offers a wide array of unique dishes that is sure to fulfill any and all taste buds. The problem I have with the food here is that everything taste the same after mid point in the meal. Everything has about 1 note to it. We got ourselves the mango cream slush item and it was really good and I enjoyed it. I would say this place is good to visit about once every six months. The cheesy curry fried rice is very good try that if you want something new.

All you can eat hot pot for $ 15.99? Why not! But compared to Little Fat sheep two blocks away, i rather spend a few more dollars there. HK bistro offers at most 15 items only for their unlimited hot pot selection. The meat selection is only limited to pork, chicken, beef and fish slices. Meat balls include beef and pork only. The meat comes frozen unlike Little fat sheep where I assume is fresh. You can taste the quality differences… the meat here is very tough. You must try the fish slices and meatballs. They were the best. They also have egg noodles too! I mean for all you can eat, it’s a steal! Complimentary sauces like satay and jalapeño in soy sauce are bomb! I love that this place operates so late. I tend to come here at night only… I’m a big late night foodie. When I’m not getting hot pot, I get meat and noodle dishes and share. Their dessert and drink menu is similar to ones you would find at a HK café. Iced Hong Kong milk tea, lemon iced tea & sago tapioca mango purple rice coconut milk dessert are my favorites!

This place is not good. There is one pro to it and it is that it opens very late. Yes till 3 am. But again, I am looking for quality food so this pro doesn’t really have an effect me. So I came here with a group of 3 people and we ordered the hot pot with the lamb and shrimp option. The meat is not fresh and its not quality meat. As well the Satay sauce was not that great either. The satay doesn’t have the strong flavor that it suppose to have. Maybe the other options are better but definitely not the hot pot here. I also got the ice lemon tea and that was not bad. I find that this restaurant doesn’t have much service(I know this is a Chinese restaurant and service isn’t good but still…). I ordered the lemon tea and basically the waiter forgot about. I had to remind him 30 mins into my meal. Definitely not coming back.

I was pretty full when I came here as it was technically my 3rd dinner after a long day out — so I only tried two items. The place is bright and clean inside, we met up some friends and was very pleased with the menu. Despite having just ate less than two hours prior to coming here, the menu looked great the the prices were appeasing so we tried the garlic green beans and pork and century egg congee. To my dismay the green beans were a bit dried and flavorless and wasn’t very crispy either(how I personally like it). The congee was extremely watered down and bland. The pork was chopped in chunks not ground like traditional style. Perhaps I was too full to enjoy what it all really was — maybe it really wasn’t that good. But judging by how many people were there it must be good or I have a crappy palette. Either or I’ll try it again sooner than later just because the price is right.

This review is only for the all-you-can-eat hot pot: I went here with a group of 8 people at midnight after going to a Seahawks game. We were wandering around China town and finally bumped into this restaurant. For 17.99 per person, the all-you-can-eat hot pot is not a bad deal given the amount of meat, vegetable, and seafood options you can choose from. Also, you can choose 2 soup options for each pot. Since we had a large group, they gave us two pots, which I thought was pretty generous. We tried the superior and satay broths and were very disappointed with both. I know I can’t expect much at most late night Chinese restaurants, but the soup base was very diluted and basically had no flavor. I honestly couldn’t really tell the difference between the 2. The upside is they definitely don’t skimp on the ingredients — we had PLENTY leftover(a little too much). Luckily, they didn’t charge for all the leftover raw ingredients, surprisingly. Service overall was fairly friendly and efficient. However, I won’t be coming back here anytime soon.

I’ve come here multiple times and every single time the service has yet to have gotten better. I order my usual a mango freeze(a mango smoothie with coconut milk and tiny clear tapioca balls). I keep coming back because I love their mango freezes but it always takes so long to make. I mean, it doesn’t take 10 minutes to make a smoothie. The staff there are usually rude and aren’t very attentive either.

Hong Kong Bistro is the place to go after a long night of ___________(fill in the blanks). I’ve frequented this place several times and the food is always great! The prices are relatively cheap for the portion sizes. My only gripe would be the service. Not very attentive waiting staff but once you flag someone down, they attend to you in a timely manner. Some of my favorites include: — Honey Walnut Prawns: fried shrimp coated with a creamy, sweet sauce topped with toasted walnuts — Crispy Beef Chow Mein: a crunchy twist on your standard chow mein! The noodles are crispy but once it soaks up the sauce, it becomes soft. I enjoy the two textures together! — General Tsao Chicken: unlike other places, the breading on the chicken is perfect! Not too thick with the right amount of crisp. The sauce is also delicious, although it tastes different than other restaurants. — Mango Freeze: OHMYGOODNESS this is delicious! It’s a mango slush mixed in with coconut milk and tiny tapioca pearls that freeze in the drink and feel like Dippin’ Dots ice cream! Definitely get this if you want a sweet, icy drink with you meal! Parking is also a pain but when is it not in the International District? :P

Hong Kong Bistro use to be my go to restaurant for their soft seafood chow mien. The last time I went, the seafood chow mien wasn’t the same. It lacked in flavor and they give you less seafood. There’s a paper in front next to the cashier noting that their menu and prices have changed. I don’t know if it’s a new chef in the back or different ingredients but it surely doesn’t suit my taste buds anymore. Bye bye Hong Kong Bistro! Until next time! Lol

I’m actually surprised that I had given such a bad rating two years ago. I have obviously changed my mind since then. Hong Kong Bistro has become my go-to restaurant for late night food. It is like a dependable friend — it’s always there when you want it to be. It’s also fast and inexpensive. With that said, I don’t think I have ever eaten here earlier than 9 or 10pm. Usually it is past 10pm when we eat here. I enjoy the food here. There are a few things that I order regularly. The vegetarian pan fried noodles is one of my favorite dishes here. I also like the cart noodles where you choose your noodle and two toppings. Their chicken wings are just OK — not enough flavor. Beef chow fun is another favorite here. Last night, we tried their salt and pepper quail and it was good but a little salty. It was perfectly fried and came on top of fried taro cubes. I really enjoyed that. They also have several dim sum options available all day. Hot pot is very popular here but I have never tried it. Their wonton noodle soup is not great, but if you wanted wontons you shouldn’t be here anyway. Do not order their fries — they are thick, mushy, and flavorless. A dessert that I order regularly is mango with coconut milk, rice balls, and purple sticky rice. Their mango freeze is also really good. My bf likes their grass jelly ice and willow dew. I’m so glad Hong Kong Bistro is always there.
